I hate ants. They are all over my yard. Every once in awhile they find their way in the house to the cat food. hate em, hate hate hate.

Getting our first freeze tonight. Getting here a little early this year.

I have no clue as to what the weather is going to do up here.. we seem to be going back to days in the mid 40's/low 50's, but who knows.. The Weather Channel is called for temps in the high 40's/low 50's all the week, the NOAA site is saying 30's and snow tomorrow night.. but we have been seeing some strange forecasts coming out of their office since the government shutdown.. I till think the janitorial staff is running the place.

all things considered, it might be a better use for it.. before refrigeration was invented, you could do the burn test to see if it was safe to drink.. you can't do that now because the stuff that causes the fridge to be cold burns clear..

At any rate, its fun watching the ants get drunk before you toss the match.. as for it being a waste , after having an encounter with fire ants, you would be willing to dump a tanker car load of moonshine on the ant bed and using a blow torch on those bastards.. I have scars on my feet and ankles from having an encounter with fire ants.. Fuckers were moving from the property next door to I don't know where, but I walked outside one night, didn't see them, stepped in the line and got about 30 bites.. thank god I had a bottle of ammonia or I probably would have ended up in the ER..

Haven't seen any fire ants yet. Did hear about a load of hay that was bought from Texas that showed up here infested with the things. I think I'd be happy if I never see any of them for my entire life.

Went to a concert last night, didn't make it home until after 12:30 and up and off to work at 5:30 this AM. Have a feeling this is going to be a long day. I'm getting too old for this crap.

No kidding. I love a good nap. My problem is sleeping through the night.

One of the things I really miss about Florida, I always had a room with a sunny spot that I could lay in and take a nap.. It was nice to have the a/c blowing on me and my cats snuggled up against me as I napped. Now I have no cats, no sunny spots to lay in and no a/c.. :(

You have Mother Nature's AC. Just open a window. :p

My bedroom is upstairs and faces south. That is the warmest room in the house during the winter. Love opening the curtains and napping during the day.

No sun here today. Cold and gloomy out. Good day to stay home and sleep, for anyone lucky enough to not be working. :(
