I'm always joking around, pretty sure he is too but ya never know.

My plum tree is blooming like crazy. Damn freezing temps better stay away until it is done. Didn't get one plum last year because the blooms were frozen off.

sitting here waiting for Fed-Ex to deliver a new computer. It will be nice to have one that works and doesn't freeze up or kick me out after a few minutes..

I'd love to get a new PC. One of two at home is dead, graphic card, and looks like the same thing is happening to the one at work.

we didn't have any choice.. Marks flat out died, mine has Windows XP and just simply didn't want to work well...I needed something that had the Microsoft programs on it. He financed this one through Dell.

HP was my first computer. It was a good one too.
I bought a Compaq laptop, which I think was a spin off of HP.(???) Never liked it but I don't like laptops of any brand.

Mowed the lawn of a friend of mine today. Damn girl hasn't done a thing to it the entire season, grass was 1 to 2 feet tall. Told her she ever lets it get that long again she is on her own.
Only good thing was, I can always use the exercise.
Going to sleep well tonight. :D

good lord, I am surprised you didn't find Jimmy Hoffa in there. There are people here who do the same thing, don't bother to mow their lawns.. that drives me freaking nuts. In my hometown, if you did that , the city would mow your yard and charge you a hefty fee to do it, and if you didn't pay, you got a lien put on your house..I used to do the billing for that. They couldn't allow people to let their lawns get out of control cause of the critters that would take up residence in grass that high..

Wow, that is a strict city code. No real critter problems around here, except maybe mice. A few raccoons and skunks, but not a big problem.
Thursday when I was leaving home for work, I turned the corner at the end of my street and there was an elk running down the road. I have seldom seen elk in the mountains let alone in the middle of a big city. See deer quite often, there is a small herd that hang out in a field near my work, but this was my first elk sighting. She was huge! And I didn't have a camera with me, dammit.

A couple of winters ago, we were on our way to pick up food at a Chinese place and came up on a moose munching on a bush on the sidewalk right outside the bowling alley, across the street from the public Library and one of the high schools. There are critters in the downtown area of Fairbanks..I keep wondering how the hell they manage to get there cause they have to cross 4 lane highways surrounding the city ti get into those sections. From what I have been told, there is a moose that lived in my neighborhood this past winter and someone found a family of Lynx in their backyard.. Bears are in the parks in Anchorage..

Welcome to the wilds of Alaska.. some poor lady walked out her front door to go to her garage, came face to face with a moose at the front door and damn near got stomped to death.

Better a moose than a bear... maybe.

Started some tomatoes, peppers and squash. Not sure I have time to keep an eye on any of them, but summer is coming, you must plant something. Right?

We've been hitting the 80s already, bleah. Picked up some more veggies last night, some squash, peppers and another tomato plant. I think I caught the gardening bug. Posted Image

its a great way to relax and be productive..I pretty much have been around gardening all my life cause my dad grew a lot of our vegetables, plus I grew up in an agriculture area, basically the winter vegetable capital of the US when I was a kid... My dad used to come home every week with a crate of just picked stuff like corn, green beans, cabbage, lettuce, radishes..etc...and what he couldn't get from the big farms, he grew himself.. I don't think I ate canned or store bought frozen vegetables till I moved out and lived on my own.

Now a lot of those farms are gone, they sold out to sugar companies.... one of my friends dad sold his farm and packing house to US Sugar for 300 million in the early 80's.
