as long as you haven't sauced the pasta you can put it in a container, cover it with water and freeze it.

I had sauced it all. Gave away half of it and have munching on the rest all week.
The heat has been brutal again this week, and that cold salad is perfect in the evening. :)

The heat has arrived back here again.. I guess mother nature remembered it was supposed to be summer time up here.. This July was the coldest one on record.. even the plants got confused.. the local newspaper posted a picture of some that had started changing to fall colors..

Speaking of the local paper.. I just opened it up to see that we have 4 athletes from Fairbanks competing in the Olympics. 3 have previous competed,2 winning medals in their sport/

Guess it is a small world..

How weird this planet is... You get the coldest July while we get one of, if not the hottest.
Right now the sky is black and it's cool, rainy and windy out. Just wish the rain would fall straight down so I could keep the windows open and cool the house down.

Been watching some of the Olympics. What events were the people from Alaska entered? I would think there would be more in the winter Olympics.

That's cool. Don't even know if anyone from here is in them. I know there is a skater in the winter games from here.

Hot and humid today, but it rained like crazy last night. Actually had to pull some blankets on during the night.

It got down in the low 40's last nigh. Mark had a fan on and I woke up freezing at 4:30.. I would have had to crawl over him to get to the fan to turn it off, so I said screw it, got up and crashed on the couch till he got up at 6:30.. I had blankets on me, but that fan is pretty powerful, even on the lowest setting.. If you need one to cool your house off, look for one of these freeze your ass off fan

its strong enough to blow the sheets right off the bed.. I put it in the doorway and even on its lowest setting, I can feel its air all the way in to my kitchen(a good 30+ feet from the door)

I have one of those fans! It works great.
I also have two of These, They work pretty good too.

Last couple of nights it has been cooling off quite a bit. Haven't had to have so many fans on lately. :)

How do you fan your heater?

Wait!

That might be crossing the TMI zone. :)

Whoo Hoo.... One of the gals from up here is bringing home Olympic gold..

In answer to your question.. My heater has a setting for just using the fan part of it, and then buttons to turn the heat on.. I also discovered it has an oscillation setting too.

I have one of those too, but the heater part quit working.

Just watched Phelps and his pals get another gold. I'm betting it's going to be quite some time before someone tops his medal count.

it will be interesting to see them try...

The guy who lives next door to me just had a friend come over with 2 drunk hookers... OH JOY! I am so glad his bedroom is well away from mine so I don't have to listen to their going ons........ bet the people who live in the apartment behind us isn't going to be happy.. their little boys bedroom shares a wall with his bedroom. and their windows are just inches apart. :'(
