Warrior Clans Roleplay Guidelines Please follow these guidelines to improve the quality of our roleplay and keep things fun for all users. General Guidelines Warrior names should be composed of words that warriors know. This excludes names such as "Dragon----, Phoenix----, Giraffe----, Clock----" In order to advance in rank, your posts should be quality roleplay – something that other members can easily respond to – this can include dialogue, meaningful actions, and your character's thoughts and feelings. If you need help with this or simply want to check your posts, feel free to PM a mod or admin. No chatspeak in roleplay (for example: lol, nvm, ur, ect.) Use correct capitalization & punctuation in RP. No one wants to RP with someone whose posts they can’t understand. Also, try to use good grammar and spelling, it makes things much easier on others. No godmoding--that is, your character can't be perfect at everything, know what other cats are thinking, get away from every fight unscathed, etc. Also, no powerplaying, which is controlling another member's character without their permission. You can aim a swipe at another cat, but only that cat determines whether that swipe actually hits him or if he dodges it. Again, please be realistic - no cat ever evades all attacks. Remember that all offenses within RP are roleplayed only. If a character insults your character, that does not mean that the roleplayer dislikes you. Do not get into fights or disputes over roleplayed offenses. It is considered good form in the roleplay world to not post back and forth with just one other user in a public thread (meaning a thread with more than two people). This is so that people who do not happen to be on at the same time as you don't have to read through three pages of posts before they can post a reply. Please do not post back and forth with just one user more than three times (three posts per person). This way other people can quickly read through the most recent posts and then reply." Users do have the right to limit the number of users involved in a thread of their creation. They may also specify level of role playing ability that is expected to be demonstrated in the thread, i.e. literate, semi-literate, all levels, etc. This is not mandatory, but all users are expected the respect a member's wishes for the thread they've created. Inter-Roleplay Guidelines Your character is allowed to disobey the warrior code however you see fit, but know that if you choose to do so, your character’s leader has the right to punish your character - see The Warrior Code for more information. You are not allowed to take another cat prisoner without their permission. You must PM them asking them whether you may do so before proceeding to roleplay taking them prisoner. If they don’t want to, you must abide by their wishes. Prisoners must be freed as soon as they want to be. They should PM the leader of the imprisoning clan, who should roleplay allowing the prisoner to leave. Prisoners wishing to remain in their new clan should gradually make the transition until the leader feels comfortable taking in a new Clan member. Leaders should PM the leader of the old Clan and make arrangements for the user to switch usergroups. Make sure you have the prisoner’s permission. Don’t go imprisoning users left and right. As in the books, this is meant to be a RARE phenomenon. Plots that need administrative approval If you would like to start a miniplot or a big plot, it may or may not need administrative approval. If your plot does any of the things listed below, you will need administrative approval. Involves an entire clan (as opposed to just a few cats in that clan, such as a devastating sickness) Involves interaction between one or more entire clans (such as an invasion or war) Involves interaction between cats that is not considered canon (canon=true to the books, ie extremely close friendships with cats Involves serious or permanent injury or disability (blindness, permanent limp, anything that will take a long time to recover from - this is so we don't have a site full of limping cats ) Involves kits having to fight or defend themselves. Involves a clan switch. Involves serious betrayal of the clan - ie attacking your leader, spying for another clan, warning another clan of impending attack. Involves a warrior learning herbs beyond the basics or a medicine cat learning how to fight beyond the basics. Involves medicine cats having to fight. Involves medicine cats needing to cross borders for any purpose. Requires special temporary characters. Requires Starclan involvement. Also needing administrative approval are: Cross-clan mates Medicine cat mates Special abilities Serious injury or disability - anything that will permanently impact your cat counts as "serious" |
