Communism? Nah.

Good afternoon, Western Atlantic. I'm The Dominion of the City of Vauxhall, but Vaux will do for short - I have been with NS since the days of Jolt under the guise of various nations, some role-playing based, some not. My former primary was Aescentia (Delegate of the Korel and United Sovereign States regions) and my roleplaying nation was Seraph and Visory, Prime Minister in the Celtic Lands region. I unfortunately resigned from these regions and from NationStates as a whole due to some actual-life-things happening that put a damper on my available time. However, these things appear to have resolved themselves, and I'm finding myself drawn back into NS. Anyway, I'm (as a rule) a dedicated roleplayer who's got to finish what I start and someone who is looking for a closely-knit region that actually has some semblance of activity - unlike my other, former regions. In contrast to Aescentia (which was a multiplanet FT nation) and Seraph and Visory (which was a modern-tech large nation), Vauxhall will be a single massive city and the immediate surrounding countryside. I already have some maps prepared for some RPing I did quite a while ago on the NS forums - which I can easily adapt to the WA map if need be. The long and the short: I'm pretty cool and I'd like to join your region. |

Hey there! I've just looked up your factbook and you would indeed settle quite nicely on an isthmus in the NS map. Though for the best place to fit you in I'd need to know about little more about the culture of Vauxhall. We talking quasi-French, quasi-English or something inbetweenish? I'm good with giving it a whirl. Opening the floor! |

However, also this: 137 days ago: The City of Vauxhall lodged a message on the Eastern Islands of Dharma Regional Message Board. 184 days ago: The City of Vauxhall altered its national flag. 184 days ago: The City of Vauxhall lodged a message on the Eastern Islands of Dharma Regional Message Board. 184 days ago: The City of Vauxhall relocated from Lazarus to Eastern Islands of Dharma. 184 days ago: The City of Vauxhall was refounded. Aside from a history of dying I am curious what you were doing as a Dharma member. And are you also a Dharma puppet? If so there's frustratingly little to raid. And if you're Mall trying to test our raiding madskillz.. uh... yeah, that wouldn't be much fun. |

I think it'd be fun to have Vaux in WA, even if it's a raid (sounds like fun, actually). |

Well a raid would be intended to loldepose the delegate and occupy the region in gameplay yerms. Or he could be a spy from Dharma. In which case, he'll find that no secret nogger secrets are discussed here. XD |

If you are coming to Western Atlantic it means one of two things: 1. You really, really, really like overly realistic international RP, 2. You think we're hiding something because Knoot and I have criticized Dharmans. Honestly, I like your nation concept so even if it's 2 the worst that will happen is you find nothing and end up getting involved in some interesting roleplay. A modern city-state concept would be cool, especially if it's a gigantic drug-infested mafia-ridden Kowloon Walled City on steroids. |

I ought to have mentioned Dharma in my OP - I was looking for an active region at the time, and I knew of Unibot through the forums - so I decided to give it a try. I was not impressed. I stuck around there for a bit and, unfortunately, they've got to be one of the least organised regions I've ever had part in. Another thing I ought to have mentioned in the OP: I detest the raiding-defending game. I resigned from Korel over their decision to reach back into the whole conflict. It just wasn't my deal - I've nothing against those who do, but I see it as bringing down the NS experience as a whole. Can I read into this that there's more than a bit of conflict between WA and Dharma? |

My comment didn't intend to criticize your tenure as delegate, Knoot. Far from it. |

Back from Saint Patricks' bar stuff. First of all: there is no conflict between the Western Atlantic and Dharma. The region of a whole remains completely isolated and neutral from all gameplaying affairs. We're all hardcore roleplayers amd, like you, detest the raiding-defending game. The Dharma business is pretty much between myself, Snefaldia and Sabaristan and a few members of Dharma. And even then, Knootoss has a military base in Unibot which is represented by me having a puppet in Dharma. So can you tell us a bit more about your nations' RP concept? What are its politics? Its culture? |

Vauxhall... Vox Hall... Voxel... I can see a pattern there! Unless it is Fox Hole? The pattern is broken, considerations must be decisively reconsidered! As on the whole admitting to region thing, I'm neutral. As usual. Edited by Abt, Mar 18 2012, 02:02 AM.
