Hmmm. I'm fine with the size an sich. I am thinking though, maybe the peninsula should be cut off from the territorial claim. That would limit your nations' sea access to the Mittelmeer which provides its own strategic challenge. That's just an idea though. Feel free to suggest your own geography, city names and city locations by the way. I can change anything or just draw your country entirely according to your wishes within the designated area. |

If you think that would make it more interesting. I was sort of considering just RPing the Balthorvian ports as being ice-choked for about half of the year, making them only really usable for anything besides the odd fisherman for maybe six to eight months out of the year. I'll work from the existing stuff for now; I'll probably have a more extensive modification later on, but I'll do that when I have a good chance to sit down and draw it out and do the thing properly. |

I imagine only the Balthorvian Passage is as ice-frozen as you describe, hence the suggestion. You'd keep that coast of course. And I'm fine with doing it in that way. There is a map thread on this off-site forum where everyone can submit and discuss changes to the map and they tend to get processed update-by-update. Oh. What language do your people speak? |

It'll have a name when I have a proper name for the nation. It's related to the Skraeling language, which is modified and based off of various Germanic/Scandanavian languages (I've used Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish as references when making names and words), but still a distinct language the way each of those are. Thinking about the country being called Aldrykslynd. So the language would probably be called Aldrykur. |

I like Aldrykslynd. When you've confirmed the name I can add it to the map. |

I like it. That's what I'm going to go with. I'll create the puppet for it in a few minutes, if that's alright. EDIT: Derpy aspect of post removed. Edited by The Fanboyists, Jun 23 2012, 03:42 AM.

I've been drawing a map based on the suggestions, with a little border tweaking:![]() (Link for increased size.) A player I was talking to mentioned that it'd make sense to have Aldrykslynd be a recent breakaway state of the Holy Western Confederation (H.W.B.) Or perhaps even still a part of the Confederation but in-practice independent because the Confederation is incredibly weak and it's been mentioned that they are having to deal with troubles elsewhere and are therefore unable to come to the aid of the Nordmark and Ostmark. It would make sense for there to be emigrants that would become your main nation too with that background. Edited by Knootoss, Jun 23 2012, 04:49 PM.

That's more than fine by me! Edit: Didn't quite understand what you meant by that last bit; can you clarify? Edited by The Fanboyists, Jun 23 2012, 05:30 PM.
