Kazomal and Katzistanza have no relations. In Ixnay, Katzistanza went extinct. As for location, I'm open to all of that. |

Personally I would be pulling for the latter, if it also pleased you of course , the number of states with ancestral grudges against Turkic peoples seems to be multiplying in this region and Turks and their Tungusic/Mongolic cousins form the vast majority of Sabaristan's population.

Yeah, I've settled on establishment in 1356, fleeing from the civil wars, political strife, and general warfare and instability of the region in that time. |

That will make Pantocratoria, New Chalcedon and Katzistanza all settled by primarily Greek-speaking refugees of the former Byzantine Empire. Have I missed anyone? Does Hipolis still exist within the Resurgent Dream? |

Yeah, I was reading through the wiki and I noticed that. Is it a problem for anyone? |

We will have 3 nations with Byzantine-refugee origin stories. I think 2 is enough to be honest. Any chances that this background could be changed or reconsidered or adapted at all? |

Perhaps Katzistanza would consider being a Byzantine colony/military outpost that survived as an independent nation after the fall of Constantinople? A location in proximity to Cyretopolitania might also suggest a link to the period of Byzantine influence over Cyretia. It would keep the Byzantine origin, tie into another country in the region and ditch the refugee aspect. Not my call obviously, but just a suggestion. |

There are many cases of Greek culture mixing with different ones. For example, Grecp-Buddhism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greco-Buddhism). You could make a new distinct culture, different from the Byzantine but with its one, distinct, Greek flavour. I agree with Panto that 3 nations with a Byzantine-flee history are too much. |
