Committee: Human Rights Committee (3B) Topic: The Rights of Women and Children Country: Republic of Iraq 1.General Assembly, 2.THE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE 3.Noting with regret the suppression and lack of sufficient rights for women and children in 4.many parts of the world, 5.Concerned with the lack of acknowledgment by women and children of their rights, 6.even in places where they in fact possess them, 7.Noting with mixed feelings that while many foreign parties have taken initiative to erect 8.such programs to teach women to both know their rights their opinions, that the programs’ 9. success is limited, 10.Bearing in mind that education of rights is the first step towards equal rights for women 11.and future possibilities of total societal equality, 12.Believing that action currently being taken is insufficient, 13.Affirming individual nations recognize the best course of action for their people, 14.Calls for sovereign nations to take initiative to take responsibility for the availability and 15.recognition of rights in: 16.Women, 17.And children; 18.Recommends main action be taken to include: 19.Ensuring that women know their rights, 20.Taking steps to guarantee that women’s opinions aren’t solely dictated by others, 21.Making sure the future generation of adults are aware of their societal duties; 22.Encouraging main course of action to include: 23.Enacting facilities to make sure the above necessary actions take place, 24.Working towards more societal independence for women from their dominant males, 25.Infrastructural work to offer more rights and opportunities for women in the future, 26.And more efforts taken to ensure that the following generations of adults in the country 27.will have a better understanding of gender equality and equal rights; 28.Further invites countries to take national interest in such promoting the usage and 29.presence of women and children’s rights; 30.Calls for initiatives to ensure women’s voices are heard as part of their rights and 31.responsibility; 32.Recommends economical work to fund such endeavors to ensure more rights to women 33.and children as well as helping them learn to use them; 34.Expresses hope in current progress made by foreign and individual endeavors and looks 35. forward to future progress under which more can be accomplished.
