Committee: Environmental Subject: Energy Policy Proposed by: Republic of Iraq The General Assembly, 1) Realizing many people in developing nations have a lack of 2) reliable power sources, 3) Believing that the ways that these people get power often 4) pollute heavily, 5) a) including oil, 6) b) and coal, 7) Observing that developed nations have a role to play in the 8) pollution of developing nations, 9) a) including environmental destruction from war, 10) b) and not assisting in repairing the environment, 11) c) and not assisting in improving environmental friendliness of 12) power sources, 13) Keeping mind that there are many reasons factoring into the 14) poor state of the environments of developing nations, 15) Fully aware that the governments of developing nations have 16) difficulties funding improvements, 17) Encourages funding projects to help developing nations repair 18) and improve infrastructure to increase generation of electricity 19) and to provide more reliable electricity; 20) Further requests that nations make access to electricity easier to 21) outlying residents of their countries and take steps to eventually 22) lower electricity prices; 23) Emphasizes the importance of countries making their electricity 24) grids independent to more easily provide for the needs of their 25) residents; 26) Supports assisting developing nations in installing basic 27) renewable energy systems such as wind and hydro power in 28) feasible areas; 29) Recommends providing fiscal and non fiscal incentives to 30) businesses and countries that choose to use renewable energy 31) sources; 32) Considers the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor 33) (ITER) as a project to create energy from nuclear fusion to 34) provide environmentally friendly power to developed nations in a 35) secure way. |

Approved However, you will want to edit some of your preabulatory clause, such as line 3-6 because they are not grammatically correct, so take another look at those areas. Also you may want to detail a little more in your operative clauses on how funding might be aquired. Finally just nitpicking, make sure you have your preambulatory clauses italicized and operative clauses underlined. |
