Committee: Human Rights Committee
Subject: Women and Children Rights
Proposed by: Iraq 3C

1) The General Assembly,

2) Aware of the women and children rights that are abused everyday around the
3) world,

4) Fully believing that the lack of these rights for women and children are affecting
5) the security, economic growth, effective governance, and social development,

6) Bearing in mind that some violations of women and children rights are due to religious
7) beliefs and one's country's culture,

8) Realizing that though many countries ratify resolutions proposed by the UN, the
9) government itself has not taken any proper action in order to improve these rights,

10) Fully Aware of the fact that most rights are violated in countries with a corrupted
11) government,

12) Noting with deep concern that the main reason why these rights are constantly
13) violated is because of the lack of awareness from the citizens of the rights they are
14) granted, with political rights in particular,

15) Taking in account that improving these rights takes a great deal of time and effort
16) and can not be solved in a short amount of time.

17) 1. Calls for all countries to provide:
18) a) better security to protect their citizens against abuse,
19) b) access to electricity and better infrastructure in general in rural places,
20) c) aid for women in children who need support for basic needs, education, shelter,
21) etc.;

22) 2. Requests that all government should take more action to support their constitution
23) about equal rights;

24) 3. Reminds that the consent of the citizens is the most important, so the UN as well
25) as all of the countries shall not approve any resolution or law that goes against the
26) citizens' consent;

27) 4. Recommends the UN should support their resolutions more by aiding countries
28) with declining or unchanging improvements human rights;

29) 5. Encourages these steps to be taken as urgently and carefully as possible, with
30) the citizens' culture, religion, and beliefs taken in mind before enforcing any
31) laws to improve these rights.

Good job. I like your introductory clauses. The only thing that I would change or cut out would be lines 27-28. Right now, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, because the resolution you're proposing is what's supposed to be enacting this change. Just something to think about. Also, maybe some more specific solutions next time. Your first operative clause is good, so some other solutions like that. Overall though, great job.
