Sin City was the first new movie i've seen in months, the last one being Ong Bak. I never read the graphic novel, so I dont know how the two compare, but I enjoyed the film. Were parts from the graphic novel cut from the movie, or was the movie pretty much it? The 4 stories told in the movie dont really seem to intersect much, is there more of that in the book? Is there much more to the story that's not in the movie? So many questions, any answers would be appreciated |

I think that Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller co-directed the whole thing except for one scene that Quentin Tarrantino directed, but I dont know which one that is. My sister just bought it on DVD and we watched it last night. I hope there's some kind of better edition later that has more special features though, this release seemed a little light. The coolness of the movie alone almost makes it worth a purchase, but I think i'm going to wait for another version. |

I hear Best Buy is packaging a comic with it...not sure if it is the full version of the Sin City graphic novel, or just a preview...I think Gen may have picked it up... Bel |

I loved this movie!!!!! This is the best comic based movie ever!!!! Because Frank Miller (the comics writer) wrote the script and also helped produce it, the movie is just like the comic and the acting was over the top! I remember being in the cinema and shiver watching the close-up of Elijah Wood's eyes. I guess after watching the horror that was Elektra the movie, Frank Miller decided that the next movie based on his comics or any character he created, would be with his saying so (and also because he has the rights over Sin City). He plays the priest who is killed by Marv and he's also killed by Bullseye in the daredevil movie (we only see his head falling in the ground). Quentin Taratino directed the scene inside the car in which Benicio Del Toro and Clive Owen are talking. P.S: yes, I'm a comicbook geek, you got a problem with that?! |
