over at SegaFans, I've started putting up 30 second samples for each of the soundtracks I've got listed. Haven't finished them all yet.

The ones that ARE done are
Sonic Heroes
Toe Jam & Earl Panic on Funkotron
and
Virtua Fighter 3.

Since nobody at the SegaFans forums seems to care, I thought I'd ask over here since many of us (if there are indeed enough people here to constitue "many") are Sega Fans.

So, Bel, at least... what do you think?

I've got a good 10 to 15 soundtrack CDs that aren't yet on there but will be added when I have time.

More power to you, I think it's a great idea! Other than it being in WMA(grrrrr), I don't see any problems with it. It'll make a nice resource for those considering picking up the soundtracks. :)

I'd do it in mp3, as that's how I originally ripped the files, but this way takes me about 15 seconds per track, and the only way I can do mp3s would take me about 5 minutes per track.

Yeah, I understand. There are programs out there that'll do what you're looking to do, and output in MP3, but I'm all for using what you have, and know. :) It's mainly just the ".wma" that I don't care for...the actual quality, and whatnot, is good...plus iTunes will convert it...so no big deal. ;)

Sega tunes are cool. I often rip my Sega Cd and Saturn games for mp3s.
Driving down the road listening to Sonic R is Zen :)

I've about finished redoing my videogame music, at some point I'll post it on the site, secretly give ya'll the links. It's about a gig's worth of music from the Genesis all the way to the Saturn/PSX.

Well interestingly enough, the full tracks I've ripped are in mp3 format, but its still faster to convert it to wma.
