Count me as a recommendation for KOF:Maximum Impact. It's not really at all like the old KOF games - which is good because I didn't really at all like the old KOF games. It's no Virtua Fighter, but it's very playable and very combo-friendly. KOF 2006 is also 3D (japanese release was Maximum Impact 2, but they renamed it for the US). Haven't played that one though. |

Yeah, I may have to try this one. I wonder, because it's 3D, if the online play will be a lot better, without super-lag like all the 2D online fighters... Bel |

Yeah, starting up a new job always sucks like that. I've actually worked at places that didn't pay you for a full month...I couldn't believe it. Bel |

Well, on a lighter note... I have my mom Genesis game hunting when she goes on her trip tommorow. I would have given her a few Saturn games... but she ended up with a few loose ones, and I am picky about loose Saturn games so I had to scratch them off for her and my sake. :( |

You know... I did some playing around, and it seems the Xbox version of the Suffering might be a better deal. Now that I think about it... I might just sell my PC copy and buy it on the Xbox, along with the sequel. Getting the game to run on the PC was a pain, a bit too glitchy, and I can see it controling better -- like Max Payne. The same with Area 51.... I'd redownload the demo, but the game would be completely trippy with my video card. I don't know about control, but I can adjust. I only bought the PC version of the Suffering, because it was loitering around Big Lots for $6 a while back! |

Both Suffering games on the Xbox are fucking excellent. If you've got a 5.1 system, prepare to be spooked. I've got both, and have played through both. If you beat part 1 before starting a game on part 2, it'll give you a special option to start with...
From what I recall, the control scheme for A51 was pretty similar to Doom 3 and Halo(with their grenades and flashlights) so you'll do alright.
I can dig it. The only reason I got it on PC was because my Xbox was in storage(along with everything else I owned) and it was only $8 at EB Games. :) Bel |

Sounds familiar...but I can't quite place it. Is it any good?
This one is great. Be sure to check out Columns '97, the newly rendered gems are fucking cool looking. Bel |

Oh yeah, I used to have that one(for *one* night) as I bought it for $5 at EB Game so I could turn around the next day and use it for that "Trade 3 in, get 1 Free" deal they were doing at the time.

I played it, briefly, the one night I had it. It wasn't terrible, but I didn't get too much into it as I knew I'd be trading it in the next day. Maybe I'll pick it up again at some point. Bel |

I got MINT copies of Shanghai 2 and Legend of Galahad both complete after I got home from work. Too tired to play right now... my new job is exhausing, and who thought stocking would be hard? Being stuck in a freezer is pretty fun... not. |

Let us know how this one is, I was kind of interested to see if they fixed some of the issues from part 1.
I've got this one, and though it's alright, I'll bet it quite a bit more fun on Live. Can't find anyone on nowadays... :(
This is the one by Namco?
I can't remember how it was who really liked this one, may have been Scott. I always looked pretty good to me. Bel |

I'd be interested in hearing how this is. It always looked alright, to me at least.
You know what? I'm gonna say it: This game really isn't *that* bad. I mean, for how early it was, it's really advanced. The city really feels alive with everything going on, the graphics were alright, the story was pretty immersive, etc. It definitely has its issues though(framerate especially). Once I get everything back up and running I plan on putting more time in with it. Bel |
