Well, actually, I take that back...GG stuff isn't hard to find around here, the local place has quite a bit of it, it's just hard to find stuff that I don't already have around here.
;) The local place sells GG titles for $4.90. Bel |

I need to do less game shopping! Man, no more until next year (I have enough new stuff to keep me busy for awhile), except these two new ones and they are cheap! Genesis Collection (PS2), I already have a reservation on this one, so I *have* to get it. Capcom Classics Collection 2 (PS2 or XBox, haven't decided yet), didn't even know this was coming out til I saw it on a to be released list in a mag a couple of nights ago. Here's the titles it will have on it. My comments in italic. 1941 I like the 194x series but this one is just too peashooterish and old school Avengers like Marvel Avengers? Black Tiger I think its an overhead shooter, never played it though Block Block what a fighting game maybe Captain Commando Yes! Eco Fighters Never played it Knights of the Round Never played it King of Dragons Never played it Last Duel Never played it Mega Twins Never played it Magic Sword Never played it Quiz and Dragons Never played it Side Arms Another shooter I think The Speed Rumbler Never played it Street Fighter I !!!!Finally I get to play this without getting the TG-16 port!!!! Super Street Fighter II Turbo Is this Hyper Fighting or just plain Turbo, the names are so confusing Strider Very nice Three Wonders Never played it Tiger Road Never played it Varth Never played it Both of this come out in the middle of November and are $20 new. |

Yeah, I know it...I always think that, but then there I am buying more. ;)
At least you can finally play Golden Axe 3. JD recommends the panther guy...;)
Italic!? Damn, you're getting better at this than I am, ya bastard!
Yeah, I like the series too, but I can never remember which one is which.
No, unfortunately, no. In fact, wait until you see it...fucking-a it looks like ass.
If this is the one I'm thinking about, I used to play it all the time on the old NES. It's pretty good.
Probably some shitty puzzle title.
Yup.
A shooter, very good stuff, you'll like it.
Beat'em up, pretty fun.
Same here.
I think it's a shooter...I'm not sure though.
I *think* this is Chiki Chiki boys on the Genesis. If so, it's great!
Side scrolling adventure, pretty hip.
Not sure on this on either.
Great shooter, you'll like it. Played it on the NES all the time.
Yeehaw! ;)
This is the final revision of SFII before they did III. It is the Turbo version of Super Street Fighter II.
I'd get more excited about it if the version that came with PSX Strider II wasn't already pretty much perfect.
Yeah, not sure on these. There's a trailer for all this over at GameTrailers.com, but as they don't seem to allow for direct linking, I can't really do anything for you here. Just head on over and type in Capcom Collections or whatever, and you'll find it. Shows all the games, I believe. Bel |

LOL :)
I've been really bad, even with trading stuff like $100 a week for a month. I'm on restriction, so broke right now.
O Rly? jk Obviously it doesn't work all the time though. ;)
Probably 1943 I would think, not this one I doubt. I have that 194x Collection import for SS and I like all the games except 1941, which is just not modern enough as far as lack of powerups, strobing, choice of planes, etc.
I seem to remember that this is an overhead shooter in a helicopter and its supposed to be pretty good.
You know, this is another of those it has a really bad name so it must be bad games I never took a chance on, be looking forward to it.
No doubt, I had forgotten about that. As sweet as Strider II looked and the control was good, it didn't really do it for me in comparsion to the original at all. |

Ha, ha, I fixed it, ya bastard! Was missing one "/" on a Quote thingy down at the bottom. ;)
I can dig it. Speaking of, I think I may try to take pretty much everything on my trade list down the local place and see what they'd offer me in credit.
Only when you're a moron like me! ;)
How far does the series go? 1941, 2, 3 and then X?
Hopefully it is Chiki Chiki Boys, I thought I remembered seeing it in the trailer for the collection.
I really liked it, it was a bit easy...but still pretty rockin'. The original is still damn good though, I still really like it(on pretty much any platform). Bel |

I'm pretty sure that the Capcom Generations disk had four games: 1941, 2, 3 and I think something called like 1943' or something.
Ha! :P
Yeah thats what I meant with Strider II, a bit easy, unlimited continues (I sound like a broken record huh) made it that much worse too. To get *any* side scrolling game in that everything has to be 3d period of Sony was always pretty nice though! I seem to remember some pretty nasty slowdown on the original on PSX? |

Hmmmm, I may have to check that out. I've only got that Capcom Generations 5 on Saturn(with SF2, SF2:CE and SF2:T).
Yeah, some of the 3D remakes were pretty hip.
I don't remember any slowdown, but it's been a long while since I've broken it out. I remember reading in GameFan that they said it actually ran a bit faster than the arcade version. Bel |

*Looks not-very-guiltily at the TG16 collection starting at .99 cents on e-bay* *grins*
Awe crap, but I'm going to have to play it with a DS2! Has there been *any* rumor of this coming to the Xbox or Gamecube in the near future?!
Captain Commando and Knights of the Round are good, I wonder if Capcom won't screw them up somehow (subdued chip music, unlimited continues with infinite respawns, etc). They could be stand alone XBL Arcade games if they did them right.
Think hyperactive Cadash, it's pretty good if not the ultimate in repetative arcade hacknslashers. I ended up trading the proclaimed arcade "perfect" SNES game after months of loathing it.
The *legendary* Turbo version of Super Street Fighter II you mean? ;) Strider on PS1 had way too long of load times, the Sega CD could have done that game with 3-6 second load times. If this loads the game and you can play it, it'll be better than the PS1 game. When I owned Strider II, I played through the actual sequel once, beat it my first play, and then I found myself popping in Strider on Genesis rather than bothering to wait the 3 minutes it'd take to get the Playstation fired up to play the same game with only marginally more colorful graphics. |

What's it consisting of?
What's a DS2? As for the Xbox or GC version, no word...and if I know that shithouse known as Sega of Japan, I'd bet they won't port it to anything else(except the fucking PSP, which it's also scheduled for).
Well, virtually any arcade game could end up being a XBL Arcade title if they'd let them have the rights to do it. Capcom would either have to do it themselves or let the guys at Digital Eclipse handle it(like everyone else does). You know, I read somewhere that the Sony online thing isn't going to allow older stuff like this, at all. Now, granted, who wants to pay $10 for fucking Dig Dug, but man stuff like UMK3, Contra, etc? That rocks!
I think that they did such a good job with the Genesis version that it makes it so that you don't really miss the arcade version that much. I, too, hate the loads...but I don't break it out very often, so when I do, I don't mind sitting through them for the one time I'm going to play it within a 6 month span. ;) Bel |

I found a store that had old Sega CD games. A little late for me. 5 bucks each tho' Wing Commander, Brutal,Microcosm,Time Gal, Batman Returns... They also had Robotech Invasion Xbox, Worms US Saturn, WWF Royal Rumble DC and 2012 Psychic Force. These games did not escape... |

Ah, lesse, I'm looking down the gullet of: Legendary Axe Forgotton Worlds CD Shadow of the Beast CD Valis III CD Arcade Card DUO Art of Fighting 2 CD At least, that's what I limited myself to watching. Some dildo is already bidding on the crap in order to drive the price up though, so we'll see what comes of this. I'd be willing to bet I'll end up with at least two games for less than $20 when all is done.
Sorry, Dual Shock 2, that crap Sony fans call the "perfect controller". Ick, well, I guess I'll wait and see if it comes out for something else, since my PS2 is staying hooked up to my PC AiW card, and it just doesn't make sense to get a Genesis disk to display in analog on my PC monitor when I already have a Genesis hooked up to the same thing. ;)
I agree, and that ought to be one of many things that cause Sony to fall flat on their face this generation. Then again, I thought making a system with multiple processors on the CPU, half the Video RAM of the competition, and twice the price, last time was going to do them in. Silly me didn't realize that "Sony" is the new world religion. |

Batman Returns, the driving sections, will blow your fucking mind! The 2D areas, though the graphics and music are bad-ass, suck due to the shit gameplay. Never played Wing Commander, but I don't like flight sims...and that's just a little too simm-y for me. Brutal kinda blows... :( Microcosm is a fun, FMV shooter. Keep trying to find the two-pack that has it and Prime together. Time Gal is an FMV game like Dragon's Lair, but with a cute, green haired anime chick. Get Road Avenger at some point if you can... Rock on! I really dug LA.
Is this any different than the card version, or is there only a CD version?
I'd like to see some screenshots/comparisons of this one vs. the Genesis/Sega CD versions.
You lucky bastard!
Hmmmm, not sure on this one? Upgrade card?
AoF2!? Wow, I thought only the first one made it! Man, if they eased up on the AI, this could be really quite good. The Neo Geo version was just too hard and the characters were just WAY TOO BIG for it to be any fun.
I don't really have any issues with the PSX pad other than it doesn't have 6 face buttons. I like the analog sticks, but don't like it when I have to use both at the same time(that just seems off, I like the upper/lower config the Xbox controller has). As for the Genesis collection, I wouldn't worry about it too much....other than GAIII, eveything else on it can be easily acquired for a low amount.
You'd think...but unfortunately, I really think they'll win again, and then again after that. Honestly, I don't think there's any way, even in Hell, that anyone can stop them. It's a sad, sad world we live in... Bel |

You know I'm not sure if I have AoF2, I think I may have the SNES port or that could be AoF1. Don't really like AoF1, something about it, but I *love* AoF3! God its so good, too bad the load time lick ass so bad and the cart is pretty damn expensive for a game of that age. Thats one I will get on the cart one day though. |

The SNES got both AoF 1 and 2, though 2 was import only. AoF 1 on the SNES was fucking good, but I like the Genesis version more, seems more playable and the control is much better(imo).
Yeah, like Sengoku 3, they *completely* redid the engine and gameplay for AoF3. I agree, it's fucking miraculously good. I had it on the NGCD, but the loads(like you said) just killed it for me. Bel |
