Some Japanese copies of Revenge of Shinobi actually DON'T have Batman... but if you where to buy it, there'd be a good chance you'd have him. :) |

I should have picked up that copy of the Japanese version at the local place while they had it. Literally, too, it was a *copy*.

I'm not sure about anyone else but I can tell you the places I hit around here, maybe you'll have a few I don't know about. Tell you what, let me try to PM(Private Message) you tomorrow. If you have pop ups blocked, you may miss it, but at the top of the screen you'll see something that says "Inbox(1)". Bel |

After missing out on several auctions by a mere $10, I resolved to lower my standards by about that much. Last night I snagged Rondo of Blood for the Turbo for $106, just a ten spot over what I was hoping to pay. Stupid thing jumped from $88 to that in the last ten seconds too. Ah well, that's my last major "rare" purchase, so it'll be well appreciated. I still got it for almost $100 less than it goes for from the resellers, so I can at least console myself with that. I figure that it's a better purchase than buying any two 360 games at full retail. It'll sure present more of a challenge gameplay wise. |

Holy fuck! I guess I shouldn't say anything though, I *did* buy Rockman MegaWorld on Genesis for $99.
;) Ah well, at least you've now got it. Hasn't it dropped quite a bit in price? I swear I remember it getting upwards of $200+... Bel |

It's still going for over $200 if it's from a reputable reseller. I think that the actual value is around what I bought it for, which is why I wanted to get it for less than $80 (i.e. a steal). I had to buy it mainly because I really wanted to play it on the actual console. But it is also by far the best platformer on the system. The only way I'll end up regretting it is if the price plummets below $50 after the PSP release. The state of Turbo collectors though is nearly as infamous as Nintendo fanboys though, so I doubt that the demand will ever really change for Rondo of Blood. The high price will just ensure that I muscle my way through the game. ;) |

Yeah, I agree, I don't think it'll drop that much once the PSP version hits...at least, not that much. The only thing it'll do is stop the casual Castlevania fans from jumping in, and bidding up, the auctions. What you'll probably start seeing is higher starting bids in an attempt to counter this...but I'd guess it'd probably just go for around the same amount. Still, kudos to finally getting it. I do miss the thrill of the hunt...I've pretty much found and bought all of the super rarities on the Genesis. :( Bel |

That Area 51 is pretty slick. I'm somewhere in it on the PC, but haven't played it in a while. I really liked it though...need to get back to it. Bel |

Yeah, that dual analog setup can be a bitch. I do alright with it, but certainly nothing as crafty as Gen and his brother wield it at(it's all those Halo 2 deathmatches). Bel |

The other auction I was watching with a similarly rated seller (from Japan instead of Ohio though) has already gone over what I paid for mine with two hours to go. ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...DME:B:WNA:US:12 |

On a side note, a friend of mine who recently got his PhD in some kind of Chemistry degree told me something very interesting. Apparently CDs have less than a 20 year lifespan. Eventually the data on the foil will be lost to some kind of molecular break down. He also said the same thing about older circuit boards, and hand no idea how accurate his information was. Since he owns almost 3000 games, mostly from the PS1 and later, I don't think he's too worried. ;) |
