Ah, In the Hunt, yeah, I knew it sounded familiar. Let us know how it is, and if the slowdown is as bad as they say... Bel |

Wow, great job on the Genesis and Xbox pickups. Columns 3 is a blast, if you can, try it with three or more people. I have Otogi 2, and am thoroughly impressed with it...will be getting 1 at some point. The Punisher is fucking excellent...man I love that game. Bel |

I got my tax return today, that was pretty damn fast and it came from Texas. I only pocketed $100 for entertainment, because I felt guilty about spending $313 when I didn't actually "need" games. So I have about $17 left. Columns 3 was at the pawn shop... store credit so it was nothing out of pocket. Going to pick both Hunter the Reckoning games up tommorow - I think I saw both of 'em for sale locally. I'm tired, and going to bed early. No work tommorow, so... Early to bed, early to rise. I am looking at a copy of the first Burnout for Xbox on ebay.. we'll see how that goes. |

the first burnout game is so awful compared to the second one... really, you're better off pretending it doesn't exist. I wish I had. |

Yeah, there was so much improvement in all the sequels, the first burnout game really isnt worth picking up. Bad music, almost none of the extra play modes, its pretty much race, win, unlock more cars that don't really drive any better, race, unlock, repeat |

I have a feeling I'll like it anyway. I like all of the games in the series, so I might as well take the plunge. |

I want to pick both of these up because they just look so great...but fuck, the fact that they only run in 480i really depresses me. Still, I'm sure the fun would outweigh it... Bel |

Right after I got the HDTV...;) Trust me, 480i on an SDTV looks fine...in fact, it's all I had ever seen until I got the HDTV(never had a TV that had component input, just S-Video) but when you see 480i on an HDTV it looks fucking horrible. I'm trying to find a way to describe to you how bad it looks but it's difficult. Actually, let's try this: Imagine watching a VHS tape on your PC monitor: Fuzzy, fucked color, completely unlike anything else you've seen on the monitor. That's how 480i looks on an HDTV. Imagine going from Oblivion to a VHS tape...does that sound tempting to you? ;) Bel |

I find that hard to believe that it would look THAT BAD, but I'll take your word for it. Makes you wonder if it would make sense to keep both kinds of TV's around. |

I know it man, I felt the same way the first time I saw my Genesis or Saturn on the TV...but it is true. Anything that's not component, putting it on your HDTV, it just looks like ass. Oddly though, some of the Dreamcast games looked great...I don't know how they managed it when even 480i Xbox title look like ass, but they did.
It is. When I first got the HDTV I was completely prepared to move all my systems on to it....then I saw how everything looked. Then, I found out you can't play *any* lightgun games on an HDTV. That pretty much sealed it. As much as I love my HDTV and the Xbox, I wasn't about to loose 7 or 8 systems by ditching my old Panasonic 27 inch SDTV. Now I have both, side by side, in the living room. It's pretty hip, it's like having a 27 inch Picture in Picture. ;) Bel |

Got Otogi 1 and 2, and won Burnout the other day. Mailed out my SNES to Canada, and should be expecting some other stuff in the mail. I've played a bit of Otogi 1 and 2, and they are pretty damn awesome. Worth paying a bit extra, but why the hell eStarland shrinkwraped the used games is beyond me. I knew they where used and in pretty damn good condition to boot, but it boggles the mind. |

Canada? Anyone we know? ;)
I've noticed that a lot of retailers that do sell used stuff, and have a shrinkwrap machine on the premises, will indeed shrink wrap the stuff again. I don't mind it... Bel |

It's not 16bitman. I'm getting a SMS from a dude on another forum. The shipping about killed me, even though I had my own box... Right after I shipped it out, I was broke. I had enough left in my wallet to cover the shipping. Thankfully I got paid today, and my check was rather small so I just cashed it there. |
