Terminator 3 has a variety of gameplay experiences, there are FPS parts, driving and shooting parts, some third person action, I liked grabbing weapons off of other cyborgs or beating them with my fists in the first mission, after which you get sent back to the past into a very difficult driving mission trying to catch up to the chick terminator in a car chase where the cops try to take you down.

Now, which Terminator game is this one? There are two on the Xbox, I think one called Dawn of Fate(maybe) and the other...just 3, maybe? Have you played the other one as well? I've often times been tempted to pick both up...

D&D Heroes is very Diablolike, except instead of managing your inventory constantly to rearrange stuff to fit in that box, you're restricted by weight to determine how much you can carry.  There are four classes/characters to choose from, Fighter, Cleric, Rogue and and some Sorceress chick.  I've been craving some kind of Diablo like experience since playing that Hellgate demo and being disappointed.  I don't think the level design is random in this game, but it's well worth the $1.

Grimshade *loves* this one. I haven't played it just yet, even though he's let me borrow it for months now. I hear the co-op is very good in it.

It's the one based on the movie, Rise of the Machines

I'm not sure it could be worse than Action Fighter or Shinobi on the SMS. Get a stamp for finishing the last level, enter your initials (that won't save to the cart) and say hello to the title screen. ;)

Replace stamp with a shitty red tinted picture with a sack of gold and a "The End" screen and you've got Sunset's ending. I think the game you just mentioned and this one may be tied for worst game endings ever.

I replaced Quackshot with Road Rash... it was either that or Batman Forever.

Wow, you missed a major bullet with Batman Forever. It's gotta be one of the *worst* Genesis games out there. Man, I still have nightmares...

Mega Man Powered Up (PSP) - $20 used This is a remake of the original MM with suped up graphics. Has the original stages and a new mode with checkpoints so you don't have to start out from the beginning plus when you beat a boss you can play the game as that boss.

Metal Gear Solid: Portible Ops (PSP) - $20 used Story wise, occurs just after MGS 3. Works pretty well on the PSP. Cool still cutscenes instead of the FMV.

Dai Senryaku VII (XBox) - $7 used If you played Iron Storm on the Saturn, well thats one of the games from this series. I have been looking for this for a while because I loved Iron Storm. This one just has brutal difficulty and isn't WWII based just a generic Yellow, Red & Blue countries against each other.

I'll have to look in to this because I swear I've seen pics of it, and they looked (sadly)like the NES versions(why can't any of these compilations be bothered to use the awesome, upgraded graphics of the Genesis/MD conversion of MM 1-3?).

Since I was one of the less than 30,000 who bought Sega Rally Revo, I decided to trade it in while the price was still $60. It's an awesome game, and I'll be sure to pick it up again when the evil retail industry has discounted it to $17.95, six months from now. In the mean time, I got a decent haul. Nobunaga's Ambition (Cart only) and Life Force (with cruddy manual) for NES, Adventures of Batman and Robin (Complete) and The Tick (boxed, cart label damage) for Genesis, and Sega Touring Car Championship (Complete) for Saturn. Aside from Touring Car, I've played all of these games and am glad that I now have them in my collection. Touring Car was the real treat of the bunch though, and I'll post about it in the Sega section.

Probably a good choice. I have been seeing 360 games for around $30 used at a lot of places, and with it doing so badly, I'm sure Revo will be there quickly.

I don't know that it'll hit that, I'm sure Sega will just pop it in under "Platinum Hits" packaging so they can still try to sell it new for $29.99(making used copies $24.99).

Why NES for NA? The Genesis version, though not leaps better, is an upgrade. Plus, it allows for Mega Mouse usage...

Batman and Robin is fucking excellent, but you better have a Game Genie or you'll be stuck on level 2 forever. As for The Tick...you fucked up. Trust me, just play to the second level and I guarantee you that you'll be dying to run it back to the store for a refund. ;)

Batman and Robin is one of the two genesis games that I play in mute. The other is Road Rash. They don't sound good enough to be that damn loud and obnoxious.

I didn't realize that 360 Platinum hits were $30, I also didn't realize that games got to be called "hits" when they bombed. ;)

Because it was there and not the Genesis version mostly, that and the NES version was out earlier and seems more popular. The thing that stinks is that I didn't get a manual, and the game actually needs one. I'll have to read some cruddy gamefaqs to play the game at all.

I know, I played it four levels last night and it is just like a SNES or TG16 beat-em up. It's definitely a kids game, and it's funny that falling off buildings results in a quasi boss fight. I only paid $3.50 for it, so I don't feel robbed.

As far as I've seen, 360 Platinum hits are $29.99...and they don't necessarily have to be hits, but just sell over a certain amount to qualify. Trust me, just go to Xbox.com and look over some of the 360 and regular Xbox PH and you'll see all sorts of games that did horribly, yet made it over the required amount.

Yeah, you'll need some sort of direction to play that one...but shit is it good! I still remember buying it on the NES, and playing it for over *8 hours* straight. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it. When I saw the Genesis version, I jumped at it. I'm still depressed that sequels for the game have come out on various systems, but each time only in Japan. :(

I could barely stay awake through the first level, just kept praying it would end. It just doesn't have whatever SoR or FF has that keep them interesting.

I trust that will be the only UMD you'll own on the system? ;) Man, I don't know what the fuck Sony was thinking when they came up with that...

Well, I imagine these will be just dirt cheap especially used so if I say something really cool and really cheap I would. They have a TV out cables for the new PSP also.

Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles: $30 (new) - pretty sick, graphics are nice but not too spectacular, gameplay is nice old school style instead of Metriod-vania style.  Haven't figured out how to open up Syphony of the Night yet but I'm still digging on Rondo of Blood anyway.

They say that the original TG16 CD version is on there as well...though I don't know that I'd recommend playing it. ;)

Yeah, you have to beat the game to open that one up. You actually have to unlock SotN also, alot of hidden stuff like that music and things. Good thing for an older game for replayability I think.

Not too shabby. Don't forget about all the emulators out there for the PSP as well...

Man, I really need to that. I think I need to learn the ropes on the PC first. I really don't know the first thing about it but since I love arcade stuff its something that has to be done eventually.

I've never much cared for SFA3, and I can't imagine it being any good on something that only has 4 face buttons. Still, I'd be interested in hearing who the three new characters are(I'm guessing they are simply palette swaps?).

Three characters from SF3 actually. The sprites looked like the same ones from that game.

I usually see most places having a "Buy One Get One Free" offer on them all the time. They can't give those things away.

Sounds pretty hip, and a really good package deal. Still, I don't know that I could handle playing it on the PSP, but at least there's always the TV hookup cable. BTW, how does that work out? Is it like the Super GameBoy/GBA Player where the game doesn't take up the full screen?

I forget where I was reading it, may have been RGVS, but someone was saying there's a way to play original PSX games on it, like you can transfer them somehow. That'd be fucking pretty cool!

I didn't like it when they did that on C vs SNK 1, I don't think I'd like it here. It just makes the older Alpha sprites look so shabby, or makes the SF3 stuff look over animated. Sort of fucks up the aesthetics of the game, imo. Still, it's wild that they added it in there at all...

The version of SFA2G they have on there intrigues me. IIRC, it's said to have a survival co-op mode(like SFA3 does). If that's the case, if I ever get a PS2, this will be my first buy...

Got Contra 4 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the DS.

It's nice to have a portable MK that isn't total balls. It actually plays really well (It's basically UMK3) and I haven't had any lag issues playing online. Puzzle Kombat still sucks in single player (cakewalk until the last stage, then rape).

Contra 4 does the franchise proud. Anyone with a DS who doesn't get this game needs to get kicked in the beanbag. Twice.

Re: Sunset Riders ending

The Genesis ending is almost the same as the Arcade ending, which also only shows the Eastern-Money assassins riding into the sunset of a barren wasteland.

Went out for a bit today, picked up these Black Friday sale items:

BioShock(PC) $24.99
GameCube Controller(Mad Catz) - $7.00
TMNT(GC) - $13.98

Will use the GC controller and TMNT on the girlfriend's Wii. Always wanted to play TMNT, but sadly it never made it to the Xbox.

Installing BioShock now...

EDIT: One last deal, found Stalker(PC) for $14.98!
