A certain forum moderator conspired with my wife to land Marvel Superheroes Vs. Street Fighter under the Christmas tree this morning. From what I understand I was sitting mere inches from it at his house too, and I recall that he very casually lured me into the other room while Amy made the switch.

In addition, I have Contra 4, which so far seems like a very good advancement for the series.

No games for christmas, but I got my camera so I'll get video reviews on games up on YouTube. I got alot of money though ($100 bill almost made me shit myself) so I'll go get Virtua Fighter 5 and get started on my Toonami Revival.

I don't know whether there is a way that we can play each other online, in VF5, but if there is we've got to do that.

I think if I send you an invite like I did with SOR2, it should work out alright. :)

Kitty will be so pleased to hear that. With all the praise he's gotten on both YouTube and Divx Stage 6, he's getting a big head. ;)

Give that cat a danged name will ya! ;)

I feel a random woo coming on.

WOOOO!

Pirates Gold!
Buck Rogers
Bonanza Brothers
Star Control

All complete, $17 total at a Game Force in Colorado. The owner was a real wanker, wouldn't even admit to being the owner even while he bragged about not carrying stuff I wanted because there was "no real market" for any of it.

(edit)

Unreal Tournament (DC)
Rage Racer (PS1)

Complete for $22, the owner of this Game Force was *very* knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to.

Not bad, not bad at all. Pirates Gold, complete is a real find.

My favorite are these fuckers up here known as "Console Game Exchange". Any Genesis, SNES, N64, NES or any other non disc-based gaming media, they simply won't let you have the box when you buy the game. They're thoughts? "You don't really need the box anyway". Gotta love it...

Yeesh, that's a bit high. I mean, UT on DC is worth a good amount, but man $22. RR, I got for $1 at EB games. ;)

Still, UT is damn impressive isn't it?

No kidding, and I'm pretty sure the owner was referring to what I was pulling out of the bin under the table when I heard him say "Whoa, shitty."

Yeah, FX here in town does that too. When I offered to create a database of box art so he could make display boxes and charge a few dollars extra for customers who wanted a box he delayed until I decided he wasn't going to do it.

That was $22 total, not each. I haven't seen UT for less than that alone, and I figured Rage Racer (not Ridge Racer), for $10 wasn't a bad deal until I played the damned pile of poo.

(edit)

Ack, I know nothing of what I am doing. I paid $5 for Rage Racer and $10 for UT.

It really is. My former roommate and I were really enjoying playing its multiplayer modes. It is a lot better than Quake III is in split screen, and I love the delicate balance they have between auto aiming and challenging AI. It makes the game very entertaining, not like FPS today that just brutalize you until you either quit or turn into a weirdo who plays nothing but FPS. ;)

Shinobi Arcade full service and repair manual, $15 shipped. Here's hoping the screen being black even though I have sound coming from it and the PCB means it's a simple repair issue.

Well, I just call him "kitty" most of the time, so it's not like it's widely known...I wasn't holding out on ya'll, I promise. ;)

Gozer was the being from another dimension that the KeyMaster and GateKeeper opened. He is also the being that meows at me for 40 minutes solid every time I walk in the door.

Wing Arms for Saturn. In the old fashioned Sega CD era case too.

Let us know how it is...I remember it being released back in the day, but as I'm not much one for flight sims, I didn't want to take the chance on it. I'm hoping it's arcade-like.

Oddly enough, I was looking through a Japanese Sega Saturn mag that Gen gave me, and they've got this huge poster for the Super 32X. One of the games coming soon? Wing Arms. Yup, on the Super 32X. Might have been interesting...

He obviously doesn't know how much it's worth on ebay, complete or not. You should have gone, after you bought it, "Whoa, idiocy!"

I've never understood the stores and their incessant need to hold on to the boxes. What really kills me is that they just have one copy of a lot of these games, so once you buy it they just simply throw the box in a back room until someone else trades another one in.

Ah, yeah, I missed that it was Rage, not Ridge.

Ah, now this is much better. Though UT is worth that, or hell, even up to $20 used(imo), Rage is only worth about $5 or less(again, imo)...so, you did good. :)

Gen and I played the fuck out of UT on the DC, we loved and only really played any of the events that allowed for us to be a on a team. One thing I *really* love about the DC version, and because of this I'll keep it forever, are the custom maps. There are a shitload of maps on the DC version that are *not* on the PC version...at all, anywhere. Some of those maps are some of the best I've ever played on, it's almost depressing to play the PC version knowing that you'll never seem them there.

I got XBLA games today:
Omega Five
Metal Slug 3
and Prince of Persia.
All are solid and hard games.

Omega Five only has Local Co-Op, but that could be for the best as there's alot happening on the screen, and you have to share what little credits you have. It's very much like Forgotten Worlds and is pretty fun after you get used to it.

*Edit*
3 titles for the Genesis... well 2 of them anyway, one didn't work.

Cliffhanger: HAHAHAHAHA! Were they serious when they made this half-ass game? I've never played a bad Beat-em-up before, but lo and behold. Ah well, it was only 50 cents. I'll use it as review fodder.

Madden '93: Just wanted to bring back a piece of my past here. Nothing to say really. Also 50 cents.

Menacer Game 6-PAK: It wouldn't start. It was $2.75 but since it was broken, I'll get my money back. Does anyone know what it is anyway?
Just call me Steve. ;)
