Grim dragged me to it Sunday night...other than Charlize's hot-ass(in spandex, no less) it was just kind of "meh".

Scariest part: Grim and I almost got stuck in a damn elevator leaving the theatre. Fucking scariest moment of my life.

I liked it, not as good as Equilibrium in terms of action and gun-fighting, but entertaining. I haven't seen the anime on MTV, but am curious to check it out now. I'm always a fan of either post apocalypse movies or movies that take place in a utopian society that falls apart. I guess it has to do with my secret desire to see society either fallen apart or falling apart.

A lot of people refer to the original Star Wars as the holy trinity of movies, but for me, it will always be the Mad Max movies.

As for a spoiler free review of the movie, I think it was paced very well in terms of exposition and action. But, I have no idea if the movie resembles the story of the anime in any way, shape, or form. The anime series has been released on DVD recently, i'll probably rent it and check it out.

If only they'd make a live action version of Cowboy Bebop, that would be pretty damn cool.
I'm thinking about what I want and what I need. I want a peaceful soul. I need a bigger gun
