For the few of us who have Live, I thought it may be fun to report what games we're seeing each other playing and then discuss them and whatnot. Could make for some new conversation, and even those who don't have Live could discuss just the titles we're seeing each other playing. :)

Alright Drkstlkr, you bastard, I see you're playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance tonight. Can I assume it's either the "Gold" version, or that you've paid for the Hero and Villains pack? Man, I love that game! Played through it on my Xbox, would *definitely* buy it again if I ever get a 360 or PS3, just so I could have all those extra characters!

Grimshade has the "Gold" version for the 360, so I got to see all the new people(and the exclusive 360/PS3 characters). Most of them seem to be X-Men that you got to use in X-Men Legends 1 and 2, but then there are people like Venom and Hulk, etc. Very cool, I wish that the packs were available for the original Xbox version, I'd pay for all of them!

I thought I saw your tag pop-up on my TV. You got Spider-Man killed thanks to your distraction. But that's okay, because you don't get to play with the Hulk. Mmm... Gold version... ;)

Actually,I was right in the middle of whoopin' Doom's ass when your tag popped up. After that I started up hard mode, not for it's achievement though since I used a few cheats after I beat the game on normal mode, just for the chalenge since normal was kinda easy to me. And damn is it hard, your enemies just will not die and they have no second thoughts about beating you down. But it's still nothing compared to Ninja Gaiden or God Hand. God Hand was fun to me though (Action Replay FTW... and the loss).

The Orange Box is Halflife 2, Halflife 2 Episode 1, Halflife 2 Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal..... all on one disc. So far it seems pretty keen. I never got around to finishing HL 2 years ago, so here is my chance I suppose. But this time it has achievements so maybe I'll finish it. In fact this game has 99 achievements. :)

So far I've mostly been playing Portal. I guess you could describe it as a first person puzzler platformer. Quite fun, pretty creative, and it has a great sense of humor. So far I'm having fun with The Orange Box, at least when I can pry myself away from Halo.

So Bel how's X-Men? :P

Wow, that's quite a package! How much was it?

I have Half-Life 2: CE, and all the stuff that comes with(HL: Source, etc). I thought HL2 was alright...I didn't feel it was the messiah that everyone else considered it. What really got me about it were the inane box stacking puzzles and the in-level loads(really took the momentum out of a lot of levels).

I've seen video of this one, it does look interesting. I'm not much one for puzzle games though. :(

Pretty good. Just beat X-Men Legends 1, so I am now going through X-Men Legends II. If you like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, you'd like these. Sadly, they are not on the backwards compatibility list just yet. Justice League Heroes is though... :)

It's a $60 game, but for all that you get it's quite the deal. I just finished Portal this afternoon and it's really, really great. Plus it has cake. How can you not like cake. Definitely worth a try even if your not into puzzle games.

I got the HL2 CE too on the cheap, but never got around to finishing it. Box puzzles drive me nuts too.... so we'll see how far I get this time. :)

I'm wondering if I should get The Orange Box or "The Walking Pillar of Hype" Halo 3. But I think that The Orange Box would be the one to get since I'm not "Gold" right now. After all, I can play 4/5 of HL and apparently only 1/3 of Halo 3 because of this.

If they could have just added more ammo to the game(not even just more enemies), so I could afford to shoot people rather than shoot paint cans at them with the fucking gravity gun, and ditched that idiotic loading scheme I think I could have put up with the box stacking puzzles more easily.

*Yanks hand out of Cookie jar* What?!

Eh, it's actually very good. I was trying to play with my squirmy son in my arms last night and I could only manage fourth place in two different Championship sets. After playing Outrun 2006 for so long, I had become used to Sega's dumbed down controls, but this is pure arcade concentration. I love the dramatized physics in this game, for some reason I'm actually entertained by figuring out how far my car is going to slide in mud, water, over track deformations, or if I hit asphalt. Simply awesome.

On a side note, I'm amazed that I am still capable of being entertained by such a simple game. I mean, with so many adventure titles and sandbox games out there with driving segments, I wouldn't have been surprised if straight driving just felt boring. That is how I feel about most racing games nowadays, I'm not entertained by stunt racers or simulators. Sega Rally Revo has something special about it though, something concise that it forces you to experience over and over.

I'd bet it'll say something like "Groover is in Xbox Media Player" or something.

I really do, like part 1, it's excellent(and long). This, part 1, Marvel Ult. Alliance and Justice League Heroes are some of the best super hero games I've ever played.

Sorry, sheath. I know I was supposed to have VF5 by now, but it's not looking likely right now. I'll see what I can do though.

I feel like posting some drooling fanboy post about how good it is, but I really had to get this Hori stick to feel that way. After a rough start, I went on to seriously kick some ass online last night. I may do so again tonight if I don't team up with anybody.
