Avengers is awesome. I'm going to be seeing it again soon, it's classic Joss Whedon tomfoolery.

There were teenagers fighting vampires while studying for finals in the Avengers?

Just about. They go from bickering with each other with no clear direction to coordinating impossibly complex combat tactics as a team on the fly. In the movie it all makes so much sense, once I got out I began to realize it was Whedon's voodoo applied to different characters.

I wanted to see it this weekend, but I knew the *only* way I'd be able to sit in the theatre would be to try for the Sunday 9*am* showing...and that was going to be tough for me....so, it was no-go. May try to see night, really late throughout the week. Cannot stand crowds, cannot stand packed theatres. I've only ever braved them both once....for one movie...and I stand by the decision: Blade II. Opening night...PACKED theatre, you got up without someone holding your seat, you were not getting it back. Still one of my favorite movies of all time...

The Avengers is in 3D, right? I thought I not only heard that, but that the 3D was fucking awesome!

Kurt Russel, man, you're right, that would be bad-ass! I was happy to see they got Van Damme this time around, though.

The Amazing Spider-Man, though the early trailers made it seem like a remake of the first Spider-Man movie, is shaping up with these newer trailers. I loved the older ones, but this one is looking pretty good too. Here's to hoping we can get Venom done properly in a sequel!

The 3D effect in Avengers is pretty impressive, at least it was in the XD theater we saw it in. When I watch the movie again though I'm going for 2D. 3D makes my head swim just as often as it looks neato.
