Remember when Gears of War was kicking your butt, and then you switched it to Casual mode and enjoyed it more? Go ahead and do that with Bionic Comando. I've had fun with the game except for one level on easy mode and I don't feel that I have to play it on a harder mode to get more out of it. Trust me, starting over on easy mode is the way to go with this one. |

Yeah, I'll get around to starting over on Easy, so I can actually enjoy the game rather than just sit around wishing I could sell it. ;) Bel |

Oh yeah, definitely, it really feels like Total Carnage(the psuedo-sequel to SmashTV that takes places outside, in the world), but I still dig it. Would have been nice if Capcom could have throw in the arcade original, it's still a lot of fun. Bel |

Dead Space demo is available. It was short, but now I want the whole thing. It was pretty cool.

I tried the demo, and it's short as fuck but you get a quick preview of what the game's combat system will be like. I gotta say that there's no way I could play this on the 360 due to the extreme precision it takes to kill the enemies. I was out of ammo in no time flat. The PC version, however, I am considering! FEAR 2: Project Origin: HAHAHAHA! Die, puny flesh creatures! Bow before the mighty ZIM!!! ... Sorry, that tends to happen when they let me pilot a mechsuit. Anyway, it's FEAR again. I love it again. Alma still creeps me out. I'll buy it after I find a job. Wipeout HD: Much harder than the other PSP Wipeouts for some reason. It's really fast and fun. I wouldn't play it too much in one sitting though. It's a bit tough on the eyes after a while. |

I've got part 1 on the PC, but haven't installed it yet. Have played the demo though, and I really enjoyed it. Creepy stuff. I sure wish the WipeOut series could find its way off the Sony systems again, as it did back in the Saturn/N64 days...would love to play some WipeOut on the 360... Bel |

Played the PC demo for FEAR 2(it's available through Steam and the official site, for those not wanting to wait in line 3 years at FileShack or FilePlanet). It's a solid game, that's for sure. Was impressed by how well it ran on my dated hardware...but it was depressing to see some of the game's obvious bugs(no support for mice with more than 3 buttons, rockets magically flying through enemies, etc). By the time I get it though, it'll probably already be patched and whatnot(like I said, I've yet to even install FEAR 1 on the PC, let alone it's two or three expansions).
Was that an Xbox 1 game? If so yeah, I tried it(on one of the Xbox Exhibition discs). Really wanted to like it...but man the control was just way too floaty. Bel |

This was originally a PS3 exclusive that ended up being multi-platform last year. I thought it was decent, certainly not great (which is squarely where I put the Wipeout series as well). |

Hmmmm, I wonder what the horrible WipeOut clone was on the Xbox then... I am looking at the demo for FI, it says I've downloaded it once before, so I guess I tried it while going through the entire library...am downloading it again, to see what it was I didn't like(or simply couldn't remember) about it. Resident Evil 5 demo is available on XBL. I know if some of you are getting it, it will probally be for the PC. I would really like to try out the Co-Op with someone I know. Single-Play took some getting use to as the incredibly fine, Sheeva Alomar, is not as intelegent as I would've liked. She's a good shot, but wastes ammo and it's almost impossible to item manage in a middle of the fight since they took away the pause menu for it. The new controls overwhelmed me at first but I was good with the RE4 controls. The games pretty much a hardcore, co-op of RE4 and I'll most likely get some time in the future. I just hope Sheeva's A.I. improves. By the way, Chris is 'roiding. :D Edited by DarcSeven, Jan 26 2009, 11:43 AM.

Played Fatal Inertia last night...as soon as it started I immediately remembered why I hated it: The control. Man, it's almost like the team that did this one is also responsible for Quantum Redshift(that Wipe Out-like game on the original Xbox), they both control so horribly. Game ruining. Ugh. Can't get the RE5 demo yet(only on Silver). I am hoping it's like what I hear of RE4. I've got a bunch of GC games on loan from Wang, using the girlfriend's Wii to try them out with. One of them is RE4, as well as Zelda: TP. Man, why couldn't Nintendo let us use the fucking GBA Player with the Wii...or just have put a port on the side of the machine for GBA carts. I'd actually play the Wii every now and then... Bel |

I thought Quantum Redshift was great - never had a problem with the controls most of the time. A couple of the characters were pretty difficult to control, but for the most part it wasn't too difficult. Of course, once you unlock the higher speeds, control becomes far less manageable, but still doable with some practice. |

Fatal Inertia isn't bad by any means either, you just have to figure out the controls. It actually does play with inertia quite a bit and requires the player to compensate for the more advanced physics. I thought it was okay because of that and the level designs. If the rest of the game has high production values I'd probably end up liking it after some solid play time. I just can't make myself care about these types of games though. Maybe I'll snag it for $10 at some point and give it a shot. |

Tried the RE5 Demo... Well, and I hate to do it, and read carefully folks because I promise you this will be the *only* time you hear this on the ENTIRE internet: I wasn't real impressed. Downloaded it Wed or Thurs night(whenever they released it for Silver members) and tried out both scenarios. Now, help me out here guys, I thought this was supposed to be based on the RE4 engine/gameplay mechanic...and I was told that was just awesome. What's the deal here? Still haven't tried RE4, despite borrowing it from Wang and having it sitting next to the Wii. The gameplay felt old, like a sightlier more friendly control scheme from RE1 or 2. We've still got that ultra-shitty inventory system? In 2009....are you fucking kidding me? The graphics were nice, I'll give you that...probably some of the best I've seen on the 360...but that gameplay just kills it for me. I don't know, maybe it's just me, maybe I just let the hype-train from RE4 run me over, but I was expecting something bad-ass, something that was RE only in name....but it looks like we got the same old shitty control with some nice graphics to try to cover it up. What's with that lack of ammo? My God, were the designers huge fans of Half-Ammo...er Life 2? If you're going to put someone in a game with billions of enemies and only 38 rounds of ammo...might want to give them something better than a worthless knife to resort to. Even Half-overhyped-Life 2 gave you the shitty gravity gun to annoy the enemies with when you ran out of ammo 3 minutes into the first level... $60 for RE5? Fuck. You. First the disgraceful SSF2THDR and now this Capcom? Um, wake me up when you go back to Lost Planet or some other game that doesn't make me want to shoot myself in the throat the second I hit start.
