Actually, after playing the RE5 demo a little more, I ended up disappointed. After a few playthroughs, I still cant get over the crappy inventory system. I got used to Sheeva a little more, but- and I hate to say this as well... I think Dead Space ruined this game for me. That game is what I thought this one would be like. I'm really having a hard time going back to these controls. Hell I don't even need to be able to move and shoot at the same time, but it feels awkward now. Street Fighter IV still looks great, but this one's getting rented. Bel, you borrowed RE4 for the Wii and didn't play it before RE5? NAUGHTY! ;) |

I just don't understand why we *still* can't move while we're shooting. There's even an interview with some dickfuck from Capcom, on the XBLM, where he talks about a "Gears of War" control scheme, that allows you to do that....*none* of the control schemes allowed for that. As for RE4, I need to give it a shot...but every time I think about turning on the Wii I think about wanting to try Twilight Princess...and I know that's going to be a full time affair right there. ;) Bel |

Halo Wars: Nice. It's kinda simple compared to PC RTS's but it's very accessible to a noob like me. I'm still not sure that the typical Halo 3 player will dig it though. |

They fucked up, bad, by saying it's not coming to the PC. A 360-exclusive RTS? Give this cracker a break...;) Bel |

Phantasy Star Portable: I kinda liked this one. I think it's similar to Phantasy Star Universe, I'm not really sure... I'll have to check it out. |

I, literally, cannot believe you can stand those graphics. DS 3D is like something prisons should start using to punish the guilty. Bel |

3D DS is pretty bad. But I really should start putting the name of the system next to the game that I mention. The funny thing about this one is that the systems name is actually in the games title. Phantasy Star Portable Edited by DarcSeven, Feb 8 2009, 08:30 PM.

Ah, ok. The PSP could actually do PSO/U a little bit of justice....definitely more so than the DS. I, literally, cannot believe how bad the 3D is on the DS. I swear it's worse than Saturn/PSX 3D... Bel |

Afro Samurai: Pretty average slice-'em-up without much thought. The music however was amazing. Buy the soundtrack, rent the game. It's not long from what I hear. |

I liked the demo, and the music...plus Samuel Jackson's voice over was great. Have never seen the actual cartoon though. Bel |

Killzone 2: Well... that was pretty. The only real issue is the quarter-second lag on the controller input. I love how the Helgast soldiers bodied react from the shots. I thought this was fun, but I'm so tired of FPS at the moment so I'm not excited for it right now. Bad timing. |

The demo for the new XBLA Watchmen game is out....fucking *1 gig*, the largest XBLA title ever. I guess MS lifted the maximum size again. Also the new Riddick game demo is out...though I still wish the PC demo was out instead. As a HUGE fan of the original, I will *find a way* to get this the day it comes out on the PC. Good stuff. Note: I haven't played either demo yet, just thought I'd mention that they were out. Bel |

Riddick: Couldn't do stealth kills worth jack. I don't think this was a good demo to use. It felt underwhelming and I've never played the original. Watchmen:$20...Well the demo was kind of fun and I was satisfied killing prison inmates. The gameplay is slow for a beat-em-up though and there's NO ONLINE. Really? Wanted: That was fun, I love doing the adrenaline cover move where you can take out enemies in slow motion. I'm gonna keep track of this one. Legends of Wrestlemania: This was ASSSSSS! I already knew I hated/wasn't intrested 85% of the roster in the game, but this is worse than I thought. I hate the controls, it moves too fast, the wrestlers don't sell at all, the camera is stupid, and what the fuck is up with all the unnecessary quick time events!? Skip, SKIP, SKIIIP!!! Riddick is one of those FPS games that really makes you feel like you're in the game...to that extent, there aren't any on-screen indicators for stuff like the stealth kills, you just have to watch his hands. It gets easier, trust me.
Though I've still yet to actually play any of these demos, I hear this about Watchmen all over the place. Honestly I don't mind a slow-paced brawler, but the lack of online play is unforgivable.
I need to break this one out, it looks pretty hip. Bel |

Played the "Wheelman" demo...and I've gotta say, I *loved* it! Could still use a little polish, but man it's fun! Loved the BGM too! Bel |

Alright, time for more demos. UFC Unleashed 2009: Excellent. I'm great with Chuck Liddel in this demo. I want this one so bad now. :) Red Faction Guerrilla: Generic. It wasn't very entertaining. just because things break easily doesn't mean it's fun to do so. Virtual-On: OT: I liked it alot, but I wish it was more than one-on-one. I am thinking about buying it. Ninja Blade: Weak shit. Next. Bionic Commando... Actually it being a damn multiplayer demo, I haven't touched it yet. I want to, I just haven't. Lode Runner: zzzzzzz Still as boring as ever... Outrun: Kinda fun, but I don't know if it's something I want to buy. |

If you ever get to playing Outrun or VOOT for an extended period they will both hook you. VOOT in particular. Once you get to where you're strategizing during a match, should you try to get in to strike, should you be dashing in zig zags and launching ranged attacks, etc, it really becomes the most intense death match game ever. |

X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Good lord this is more violent than I imagined. It plays great too. Me want! :) I've been playing a lot of the VOOT demo, so I'm looking to have that as well. I found out about the large mech in the back of the lineup in the demo. His attacks are deadly. |

I think that's Raiden, he's a bad ass. I refer to him as the Megatron of Virtual On, the game pretty much paints him as such also. |

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: *Shoryuken to Capcom* Another local multiplayer only demo? Why? ...Whatever, I can still practice a little bit. It might be just me, but why is it so hard to do FDC moves now? The timing seems way too strict. Edited by DarcSeven, May 4 2009, 12:44 PM.
