Hey wow, Facebook integration with XBOX Live. Now I can take tests that have no validity from my couch without my Mamebox on. ;) _edit_ Oh yeah, and 1080p instant on HD sounds awesome. I'm looking forward to that killing something we all know and hate. |

If Natal is what they're showing, we're in for an absolute revolution in gaming. They will be able to do gun games with real guns (hopefully people will keep the safeties on). An interactive AI with simultaneous facial/motion/voice recognition like Milo is not possible. A bunch of mini-games like Wii Fit and Wii Sports is. If Molyneaux delivers on Milo in the next five years, with fewer than three full releases I will be impressed. |

http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/867131/red-steel-project-untitled-sequel/videos/rsteel2devwalk.html Damn, Red Steel 2 might get my ass in shape. It looks very motion heavy. http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14281102/call-of-duty-6/videos/moderncombat2_trl_e3.html I want this game NOW! So far this E3 actually feels like it's worth something. Interest list: Modern Warfare 2 Red Steel 2 Splinter Cell Conviction Crackdown 2 Metal Gear Solid Rising Mass Effect 2 That's three exclusive points points for Microsoft. I thing they did great with this years E3, especially with Splinter Cell looking great for the first time ever. Let's see if Sony or Nintendo can match them or do better. Kojima is an idiot. "Who said anything about Solid Snake?" You did, when you called the game Metal Gear Solid, dork. |

^^ Um, everybody was saying stupid stuff yesterday. Why does the man that can barely speak engrish from a script get your hate? Nintendo's conference has started. Multiplayer Super Mario Bros.... w00t. Reggie with another video for the Wii motion plus. I'm actually looking forward to it but not with these tech demos. Edited by DarcSeven, Jun 2 2009, 10:22 AM.

Kojima is almost single handedly responsible for teaching the markets that cinematics are more important than gameplay. His highest aspiration as a developer was to create a game as "emotionally charged" as Rambo, he said so in an interview following the release of the first MGS. He's a terrible influence on the industry, and his idiotic naming schemes make him an idiot not his engrish. |

So basically you feel about Kojima the same way I feel about Will Wright except for a different reason. We've seen Wii Sports Resort before, and I wouldn't mind messing around with it like I did with the last Wii Sports, but we've seen it already. |

What has Will Wright done besides a bunch of the industry's best simulators? -edit- Reggie just said that more 3rd party games were sold on Wii last year than any other platform. I don't think that's true though, I was pretty sure the 360 is still selling more 3rd party titles week for week, by almost a factor of two last I checked. |

Your ire for Will Wright would be the same as mine for Kojima if, after the release of Sim City 2000, every developer stopped making action games and started making city simulators. Furthermore, if the comparison was going to be apt, every game review of any action games that came out from the release of Sim City 2000 on would complain about them not having a simulation element on par with Sim City. -Edit- And oh yeah, every time games from the 90s were mentioned in a "retro history" or "best of" article in the media Sim City would be at the top of the list and praised as absolutely perfect in every way. Am I painting the picture for yah? |

I know but it blows my mind anyway. I'm not feeling any of the games he makes and every time I see one, I get annoyed. Granted not upset at Nintendo's shovelware, but still. Didn't they have the same praise about Metal Gear solid , though? Nintendo's killing me right now... |

I'm not sure I understand your question. What I'm saying is that Metal Gear Solid actually shifted the entire industry away from action gaming toward cinematics in games. Every review of top notch action games, especially by Sega, since the late 90s has taken massive points off if the cinematics aren't exciting. Mediocre or even bad games get marked up to incredibly high scores of the "experience", read as cinematics and mood, was considered high. |

Project M looks, interesting, not mature as Nintendo says, but still. Since we know that Team Ninja isn't Team Ninja anymore, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. |

Metroid Other M: It's not a FPS and it's looks awesome. It should be freaking hard though since Team Ninja's behind it. Edit: Whoops that's right, it's different now. I'm not sure what to expect now. Interested list: Metroid Other M Kingdom Hearts Super Mario Galaxy 2 At least it wasn't embarasing, but it sure was a boring show. All that they only two surprises and only one got a big reaction from me. Microsoft leads. Edited by DarcSeven, Jun 2 2009, 11:23 AM.

Nintendo lied about third parties. http://vgchartz.com/ayearly.php?year=2008&boxartz=1# Third party software sales: 360: 28,592,500 PS3: 8,163,972 Wii: 6,937,869 DS: 4,029,723 Nintendo platform third party software sales were the worst of any platform in the top 50 for 2008. They're even below PS3. |

I thought so. Oh well, I never listen to company spin anyways, I'm here for the cool stuff. :) Well next up is Sony's conference. I guess I'll be talking about this one by myself so I'll keep the post to a minimum. Thanks for posting with me though, sheath. Even if you totally owned me at the end of it. \_o_/ |
