Wow, with that many big egos in it, i'm surprised the movie completed filming and made it in to post production already according to IMDB. I remember reading articles about Curtis Jackson being in the movie and then being replaced on Aintitcoolnews.com. I don't like the idea of them making two versions of the movie, one R and one PG-13 to see which one tests better. If the whole point of the film is to pay homage to the badass movies of the 80's and early 90's, why wuss out and make a PG-13?

Hehe, just watched Hard to Kill the other day, can't believe Seagal is still making movies. Plus, why would Van Damme turn down a part in this movie? Although I'd rather Dolph Lungdren make a comeback than Van Damme

I'm not seeing anything on the Wiki, but it's possible they killed it(as those cunts do to a lot of legitimate information). IMDB has some info though:

Good to see you on the forums again, Gen!

Whoops, sorry about the link not working originally.

Yeah reading the wiki, I was somewhat disappointed by some of the people that didn't want or couldn't do because of timing. I wouldn't have minded seeing Van Damme not get cut by any flying glass... I agree in that they should just make it an R movie and go all out.

On another note about Steven Seagal did you see that they are casting him in this?? Got this off Yahoo...

The Big Surprise - 'Machete': Weirdest Cast Ever?

It started as a joke, but one of the fake trailers from 2008's "Grindhouse" is becoming a real movie. Robert Rodriguez, the director of "Desperado," "Sin City" and the "Spy Kids" trilogy, has begun work on "Machete," which began as a preview that ran before his "Planet Terror" segment of the double-feature he made with Quentin Tarantino.

For the full-length movie, Rodriguez has assembled one of the most eclectic casts ever: Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Michelle Rodriguez, Don Johnson and Lindsay Lohan. They will join the stars of the original trailer: Danny Trejo, Jeff Fahey and Cheech Marin.

In the movie, Machete (Trejo), a former Mexican Federales, is hired to assassinate a corrupt senator (De Niro). But then he is double-crossed and pursued by a government agent (Alba). Lohan plays a gun-wielding socialite who comes to Machete's aid, and Seagal plays a drug lord from his past. Filming has already begun in Austin, TX, and it will most likely hit theaters next year.
