I may be on to something with the Private Message system...if someone sees this, shoot me a PM, I am testing something. Thanks! Bel |

Ok, thanks to your help, I have figured out the part about the "pop up windows" not showing up. They no longer exist, but are now replaced with "alerts". These show up in the bottom, right hand side of your screen and let you know you have new PMs waiting for you. There's a small catch though: You have to enable this feature. To do this, go to to your "Inbox", then on the top left side of the screen, under "Message Center" click on "PM System Settings". Put a check in the "Display an alert whenever you receive a new PM" and you're done. I am still working on why it no longer sends emails to people letting them know they have new PMs... Bel |

is there a 'view new posts' button or something? That was a useful feature (though for some reason didn't always work on IPB) |

The folders on the left side of the main window will not show a paper coming out of them after you have looked in that Forum section. This is useful for a visual scan after you click on every forum in the group to clear them. After that, if you have read a particular topic (in the new boards) and click on the link to said topic on the left it will automatically jump to the new post. |

Unfortunately, no, it's been replaced by that "My Assistant" feature. Another thing you can do, if you want, is right before you leave the board, hit "mark all forums read". This way, the next time you come back, the folders that are telling you there are new posts are truly posts that you haven't seen just yet. Bel |
