Sort of bored, thought I'd see if anyone noticed that the board now has its own Favicon(it didn't for the longest time)? I guess ZetaBoards finally got around to adding one(they did this around a month, or so, ago). Speaking of, does anyone else really care about the whole "Favicon" thing? It's one of the few net gimmicks I really got in to...every page on WAG has its own Favicon, from reviews to FAQs to even the WAG Search page(powered by Google). Bel |

I don't see it in firefox, I even did a ctrl-refresh. Oh wait, there it is, is it an orange swirl kind a think with two blue swirls in the middle? I thought that was something that I saw in the admin section. |

Yeah, that's it...the little swirl-like thing. I would have given it the "Whip Ass" favicon that is used on the front page of WAG, but I couldn't find a way to make it happen. Anyway, it's nice that they finally got around to adding one. One things that has always puzzled me: I've almost never had Favicons work in IE...any version. Has anyone had any luck with that? Bel |

None of the favicons I've designed work in IE. If I recall, the favicon idea was a Netscape/Mozilla idea to begin with. |

It's possible, but they *do* work in IE...it's just sort of hit and miss. I know the method I use doesn't work in the browser, but it will, occasionally, show up in the "Favorites" menu. Thing is, my method *does* work in every other browser...so I don't worry about it much, just thought I'd ask to see if anyone else had had any luck with it... :) Bel |
