Now, now, hear me out before you tear my ass up... So we're at this huge-ass, city-wide garage sale last weekend...Pleasure Kitty and I. We come across this old man in a cowboy hat, start sifting through his stuff and come across at slim PS2 unit for $5. Again, *$5*. Had two controllers, $5 a piece as well. No cables, but for $15 I figured I'd buy it for PK as she used to own one back in the day, before intelligently trading it in on an Xbox. Actually, I bought it and then offered it to LoneCrusader but he felt he was too busy with the 360 to put any time in with it. Picked up the component cables and AC adapter on ebay for $1.32 and $1.00, with similarly low shipping(all from HK). All in all, a slim PS2 for less than $20...even I would put up with it for that price. PK mostly wants it so she can keep powering forward on that "Shadow of the Colossus" she used to have...she even kept a PS2 memory card with her save on it in case she ever got another one. I own one PS2 game, I got it during Blockbuster's "50% off Sale": Sega Classics Collection. I LOVE that fucking version of Alien Syndrome...CANNOT get enough of it. I have played that thing, probably, 100 times...and it just never seems to get old. Even dragged Wang through it a time or two. I will admit that there are a few PS2 games I've always wanted to play, and here's my chance. Just yesterday I picked up Twisted Metal Black for $2(complete)...have always wanted to play this ever since I heard that SingleTrac came back to do it. I've got Ghost Rider on the way currently($6, complete, with shipping) as I was all set to pick that up on Xbox when 2K Games canceled it. I think these two games, along with the flurry of games on the Sega Classics disc ought to keep me busy for a long while. Just have to find "Shadow" for PK, for a reasonable price...her PS1 games ought to keep her busy on it until then. Bel |

I don't have to remind you that PS2 slims break just as often as the big models, and they can't be fixed like the big model, do I? ;) |

For $5, I don't really care. Even broken, I could probably sell it for $20 on ebay. ;) Bel |

For $5 everybody should own whatever console, no matter how contrived and overrated. |

Somehow, I still don't think I was wrong for passing it up, but I appreciate you looking out for me and am glad that the unit worked when you got the right cables for it. |
