No, no, no. You want to see idiocy? A real comment...from a real moron, on GameTrailers, about Kinect:

"There will be no next year and beyond you are seeing this at its best. I can tell you now and I do game programming for a living. Most developers are throwing flags down saying they will not design for a system that does not use a controller. So keep dreaming of a Halo Kinect cus its not going to happen. Why? because Kinect is shotty and does not have the complex data needed to produce games with such calibrations. Go watch the E3 demo of them attempting a shooter game. You will see exactly what I am saying its dead in the water amigos. A dead fish just sitting there floating. Oh yeah and how does dead fish taste all you Gaynect users?"

"I do game programming for a living"

I'm embarrassed for him.

The Sony fanboys are scared shitless of Kinect. This sort of thing is rampant all over the net...it's just like when Blu-Ray was fighting HD DVD. They show up and post fake reviews everywhere bashing it. The amount of Japanese cock in their mouth is absolutely astounding.

Wow did that kid ever give himself away. All the same, since I'll never own a PS3 or Move, my choice is between pilfering the bargain bin Wii library or waiting for Kinect to drop in price and come up with games that interest me. My relatively large living room is not big enough for 2-player embarassathons with Kinect so I will likely wait for a while longer.

I'm also jonesing for a 42ish LCD TV that I hope I can land for ~$450 in black friday sales. ;)

I'm telling you...the best thing about the Wii is the fact that it plays GC games and the Component cables are cheaper...that's it. With you already owning a GC, with the GBA Player...I would just try renting a Wii first. I *dare* you not to get bored with it within the first day. When the best game on the system is the pack-in...you know the system has issues.

I actually have several relatives who have had one for years and have yet to be impressed by their game collections. I also hate paying to see how a game plays, so that has held me back more than anything else. Also, these days I just don't tend to pay more than $15 for most games, or $40 for ones I know I like and want to play. Then I don't play them. So...

I am about the same way...and it's lead me to another another thing I am going to start unloading: Xbox 360 games. It seems like almost every game I have on the 360 is available on PC...and if you just wait about a month, the titles drop down to $20 or less...then another month and they are $10 and less. From here on out I am only buying 360 titles if they are exclusive to the system. There's just no point in paying more for the game when I can get the exact same game, complete with full 360 Controller support and even possibly run it with more special effects, a higher framerate, better textures and the option of a mouse/keyboard config on the PC.

So, I am going to sell off all of my Xbox 360 games that have PC versions(and I can run them), and then use that money to get them on PC...and still have quite a bit left over. I never get around to buying these games when they're new anyway, so I just don't see even paying $20 to $30 for the Xbox version, when it drops down that low, when I can get the same game on the PC for $1 to $10 usually.

If you look at PC games from other regions, the library opens up even more. I mean, Sonic All Stars Racing didn't come to PC here in the US, but you can still get it and run it without issue(and it doesn't cost the $30+ the 360 version still demands). I was shocked to see some of the titles that hit PC, too...shit I had no idea about(like that Blaz Blue that hit PC). Plus, if it's an online game it's FREE to play online with Games for Windows Live.

The sale will begin once I do a full inventory and then look to see which games have PC versions(I am going to bet it's going to be about 75% of the library that does).

I think what kicked this off was that I have, in about the last week, picked up 4 to 6 games on PC for about $1 to $3(all on clearance at Half Priced Books) and all had more expensive 360 versions. Seems like I buy these games and then get to them about 6 months later...so I just don't see paying that money the 360 wants. Paying $40+ for a game I finally get around to when it's $20 on 360 is bad...paying $1 for a game I finally get around to when it's $0.25 is acceptable. ;)

...and this goes for PC stuff too: No more buying brand new PC games. Every time I buy one I almost immediately regret it as I see it drop $20 to $30 within the first month. There have been a slight few that I have bought at full price and immediately installed and played, so it's not all bad...but more times than not, I don't get around to installing and playing them immediately, and then I look and see them for $1.90 at GoGamer or something. BTW, if you guys aren't signed up for the GoGamer Newsletter, GO DO IT NOW! You won't believe some of that fucking pricing! I almost go ass-wild every time a new one comes in...but then, I remember, even at their low prices, the games get lower every following newsletter...
