I want to think I've heard about this website before, http://www.estarland.com/. I just don't think I have seen it. I am thinking this is going to be my new first shopping place when I am actually looking for a game. Looks like a disreputable company to me.

Oh, I've heard about them alright...

Things may have changed since a lot of this happened, but I'd just be careful...pay with Paypal or someone who will get your money back should anything happen.

Whoa, look at that last one from Nov 2010, looks like they still suck!

I was just thinking the pricing for all of the "retro" stuff was higher than ebay and Amazon without decent descriptions.

You know who I thought they were, at first? Buy-Rite...but, get this, look at what Buy-Rite has become. I *love* their new title...

I doubt I would have pegged them for the infamous buy-rite. That bottom bar link of sister sites including a link to "Beuaty Supply" with a link of beautybuy.com sure does a number on the site's general respect for anything though.

I like eStarland... I bought a lot of Neo Geo AES, Sega Cd, and Sega Saturn games from them. I also traded in a lot of games. A lot of the Sega CD/Saturn games I ordered from them came with cracked hinges, but what can you do. Everything else was in a good shape. The only thing I don't like about them is when you request cash from your trades, it takes them 2 weeks to pay. I almost missed out on getting Kinect at launch because I was short of $ and needed eStarland to pay me.

I bought some things from buyrite back in the Dreamcast days, mainly because the price was right. So you haven't had any trouble with them not sending you stuff or not allowing you to return games? How is their email communication?

I've never tried to return games at eStarland. Their email communication is poor, I never did receive a response when trying to get cash instead of using the credit to buy more games. Every time I've bought a game though, I've been satisfied. The worst I can say is that when I bought Fatal Fury 2 (AES), the "warning" card that comes with some Neo Geo AES games must have been stuck in between the plastic and art because the letters were "burnt in" to the back of the box art/slip cover.

I traded in a bunch of games to eStarland and the trades were completed on April 1. I requested three cash out payments on that day for $410. I need to pay bills. Anyway, it's now May 3 and they still have no paid me my PayPal payment and they're giving me the run around. Last week they told me to "wait longer". This week they said they "forwarded the matter to their accounting department" and i'll be paid shortly. Meanwhile, my credit card payment is due. As a last resort I've been informing people about it on their facebook page. eStarland apologized, and then deleted my post. So I posted again. I never thought it would be almost 5 weeks and still no money from them. They don't care that I have bills to pay or even that their own website says cash payouts take 2-3 weeks (which is a ridiculous amount of time anyway).

That sucks! Hopefully they get the money to you, the local better business bureau will be able to squeeze it out of them besides. This is bad enough news that everybody should stay away from now on.

After complaining on Facebbok multiple times, the webmaster contacted me and paid me immediately and gave me a $20 credit to use at a later time. It sucks that I had to go public before they bothered to magically pay me. I missed my credit card payment because of them.

Ugh, yeah, nothing good about that. Sounds just like buyrite, I wonder what their freaking problem is.
