Ok, before I begin I want to make sure to get this in there: I really am not trying to brag here. I've just been either so busy, so tired or just too depressed to actually do anything with this stuff since about August of last year. I figured that if I posted it all up here, someone may see a game they really liked and we could start up some conversation. Back in RGVS, my favorite posts were always people just listing games they liked, had just bought, wanted etc. I would always find a few that I had something to say about...it lead to more conversation, which is what I am attempting here.

Anyway, as you can imagine, working for Wang's Retro Gaming Addict, I am *constantly* pummeled with unbelievable deals for games and gaming hardware. I liken it to back when I was working a bookstore: I had all sorts of books, more books than I knew what to do with because I was around them all the time and would get such great deals on them...I couldn't pass it up most of the time. Well, now I work for a guy who sells games...

This is just sort of a chronicle of the finds I've come across and have decided to keep, rather than sell off. I had wanted to do this since the beginning, but just didn't have the time. Anyway, there's just so fucking much, so I am going to start with what I find to be the easiest to deal with: The PC stock. I'll list it, if you guys see anything you want to talk about, please do so.

NOTE: Like a lot of what I've come across, I haven't gotten a chance to play a lot of these games myself, so I'm just throwing some initial thoughts out there based on what I've heard, seen or read about them.

PC:
Bet On Soldier($2, complete) - I remember this coming out back in the day, heard good things, just never got around to it.

The Incredible Hulk($2, complete) - I loved the one on Xbox(Ultimate Destruction) - Part of my "Buy it on PC unless it's an Xbox 360 exclusive initiative". Looks great.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box($2, complete) - Haven't heard great things about it but 1) It was only $2 and 2) it's another game I can use my MS SideWinder wheel with.

Command & Conquer: The First Decade($3, complete) - Have never played any of them, but want to try that FPS "Renegade" game...and 12 games for $3? How can you loose...

Time Warriors($5.98, big box complete) - Horrible-looking Soul Blade-like weapon fighter. I love this like this.

The Mummy($2.99, big box complete) - Rebellion-made, looks great on the PC, decided to give it a shot.

Realms of Haunting($5.98, big box complete) - I remember David J bringing this one up, it looked great, couldn't pass it up. I love big box PC games!

Deus Ex: Invisible War($2, complete) - This is a great example of how bad it's gotten: I am re-buying the same games just to get them in a case I don't even care about it. I already had this game, but it was the jewel case-only version...found the DVD-like case version for $2 and just bought it again. UPDATE: So I open this up to find that it has both install discs...and also Tropico! Wild!

Freedom Fighters($2, complete) - It runs at 720p on the Xbox, but man is it hard! Remembered playing the demo of it on the PC, thought maybe with the mouse and keyboard I could do a little better(at least, I remember doing a little better). Great game if anyone out there hasn't tried it yet.

Kill Switch($2, complete) - Had always wanted it on Xbox, but the dual stick thing really just doesn't do well for me...found it on PC, grabbed it.

Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga($2, complete) - Star Wars RTS using the AoE engine, includes original game and expansion. Looks interesting.

Freedom Force($2, complete) - I swear to God, they either stole or are using the engine from the *awesome* Justice League Heroes game(on Xbox, PS2) and made it so that you create your own hero and run around whipping ass with him/her. Looks awesome!

Star Wars: Republic Commando($2, complete) - Another one where I owned the jewel case-only version, but wanted to bigger box and manual so I re-bought it. It looks great, I remember trying the demo on the Xbox way back in the day.

Unreal Tournament 2003($3, complete) - Known as Unreal Championship on the Xbox. I loved it on Xbox, but couldn't do very well with the dual sticks...thought I'd play it proper with the PC version.

The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind - Bloodmoon($3, complete) - I finally manage to get the final expansion that I needed for Morrowind and now all I see at Half Priced Books is the GotY ed for PC that comes on just a single DVD, in a nice DVD case. I will probably end up buying it just for that....(I know, I know) UPDATE: Just opened it up...the disc is missing. Fuck.

Redline(free from RGA, jewel case version) - An interesting hybrid of driving and FPS shooting.

Quake III($2.98, jewel case version) - I really don't like Quake III, but I ran in to Quake: Gold a while back(it's just QIII and QIII: TA in one package), installed it, didn't care for it and sold it on RGA. Forgot to uninstall it and then noticed that all it requires is the QIII disc, so I bought it just so I could run it from time to time. I do love the graphics and music...

Road Rash($0.95, jewel case version) - It looks so fucking good on the back of the case, with full 3D support.

Duke Nukem: Kill-A-Ton Collection($3.49, jewel case version) - Comes with DN1, DN2, DK3D, Plutonium Pack, Level Editor. Though I already have DN: AE, I have never played DN1 and 2.

Lego Chess($0.99, jewel case version) - It's BattleChess with Lego guys...can be played over the internet, talk about a win!

The Need for Speed: SE($1, jewel case version) - Like RR, it looks so fucking good on the back of the case, with full 3D support. Thought it'd be bad-ass with the MS SideWinder wheel.

Omikron: The Nomad Soul($2.98, flip case version) - GTA before GTA. This game was mindblowing on the DC...I can only imagine how incredible it's gotta be on the PC. It's not so much that it's a great game, but rather that world they have built in it was just so fucking far ahead of its time.

Level Master V for Quake($0.99, jewel case version) - Another add-on for Quake...for some reason, I feel I have to own every single one of them.

Need for Speed II($0.65, jewel case version) - Like RR, and NfS...you get it.

Disciples II: Gold($2.48, complete) - Has the original game and like 9 other campaign packs, plus 5 more bonus quests! Have never played it, but it won all sorts of awards. Again, for $2.50...how do you go wrong?

TrickStyle(gift, jewel case version) - Love it, love it, love it on the DC but it has framerate issues. Cannot wait to see this thing at full res, graphical effects and 60+fps.

Return to Castle Wofenstein: GotY Ed($2, jewel case version) - I have the big box version of the original release, thought I'd switch just the game out so that I have big box, big manual, GotY ed disc, jewel case, inserts.

Commandos: Strike Force($2, complete) - Everyone loves the Commandos series, this was their attempt at an FPS version. Thought I'd give it a shot.

...alright that's, like, a fourth of them...I've gotta take a break, my hands are killing me.

Will be back with the rest in a bit, trying to get them cataloged, added to WAG, etc. I need to do inventory on all of them anyway, pull(off WAG) what I had to sell on RGA, add in the new stuff, etc.

Again, if you see anything you want to discuss, just hit it!

Bel

Ok, that didn't last long, the way I've gotta do this...I just have to list it here first or I'll never remember everything. Anyway, back to it:

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage($2, new) - Played one of the FO games at Gen's place and it was pretty fun. Thought it would be fun with the SideWinder wheel.

Wolfenstein(Free, complete) - The dispicable story...

Mirror's Edge($6, new) - Played the fuck out of the demo on the 360, bought it as soon as I saw the price.

Gunman Chroncles($1, complete) - Some FPS I've heard about it...they says it's really good.

Wanted: Weapons of Fate($4.98, complete) - Loved the demo on the 360...but me, dual sticks, suck, keyboard/mouse = purchase.

Space Siege($2, new) - Diablo in Space, Grimshade said it was great.

Darkest of Days($2, complete) - I hear it's not the greatest of games, but I just really love games where you travel to different periods in time. Basically, if it's got time travel, I'm in.

Sam & Max - Season 1, 2(gift) - Wang got this for me for busting my ass on the listings.

Red Faction: Guerrila($7.98, complete) - Kind of got fucked on this one. THQ made it so that once someone uses the key for this game, you can never reinstall it unless you have their log in. I couldn't get it to install at all, so I actually had to crack it just to play the motherfucker.

CrashDay($2, complete) - Looks amazing on the back of the case, another game for the SideWinder wheel.

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena($1, complete) - Bought it on sale on Steam, then found this for a fucking dollar...couldn't resist. Has some exclusive GameStop map, but the download link is, of course, dead.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames($2, complete) - I bough this thing twice, both for $2 just because I couldn't remember that I had it. I've got to start updating the lists on WAG when I get this shit...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine($5.98, complete) - Man, what a deal, this game was fucking GREAT!

Wheelman($3, new) - I loved the demo on the PC, another one for the "Only 360 Exclusives on 360, PC for everything else" thing.

Rogue Warrior($5.98, complete) - Looks great, plays pretty well, is about 2 hours long. What happened?

DarkSector($1, new) - Looks and plays exactly like Gears of War, but with a boomerang...why no one likes it is beyond me.

Mythic Blade($4.98, complete) - No product key, so I've yet to get it installed legitimately but I did download the abandonware version. It's fucking CRAZY! Another 3D Soul Blade-like game on PC. Check it out.

American McGee's Alice($5.98) - Originally $30, but I bought it because it goes for $70+ on eBay...but it was missing one of the discs. So, they dropped it to $6 as I said I'd take it for a lower price just for that awesome-ass manual(it's a diary of Alice in the asylum). Just downloaded the missing disc, works fine.

Transformers: War for Cybertron($4, new) - 3 player co-op? Really!? That is fucking awesome!!!!

Singularity($9.98, complete) - I will buy any FPS Raven makes...and they are all incredible.

Batman: Arkham Asylum($4, new) - Wang found this one for me at Goodwill.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Dags($4, new) - I found this one at Goodwill for me.

Alpha Protocol($4, new) - The same Goodwill...

ParaWorld(free, new) - Came with this huge buy I did. Looks to be a sort of "Lost World" RTS. With Raptors, how can you loose?

(get ready)Ominous Horizons - A Paladin's Calling - A High Quality, Biblically-Based PC Game($1, complete) - That's the full title(no shit). The pics on the back of the box actually look alright.

Tomb Raider: Underworld($2, new) - I don't want to give up on this one, hoping a patch fixed some of the control issues I saw in the 360 demo.

Prototype($4, new) - At that same Goodwill, I think they just get overstock from Target and push it out at that price. I have almost re-bought this one a dozen times...thank God it was always more than I wanted to pay.

Metro 2033($4, new) - Yup, Goodwill. Wanted it the day it came out, but I am not paying full price for PC games anymore...there's just no point.

Necrovision($2, complete) - Not the greatest use of the PainKiller engine, but it is actually pretty good(from what I played of the demo, at least).

Ok, give me a second...will get to the absolute last of the PC games...

Bel
Ok, here we go:

Tomb Raider: Anniversary($1, new) - Have wanted it since it came out, but wasn't going to buy it in pieces on the XBLM...and it was never cheap enough on the 360 for my taste. Argh, four discs down I find that I have another copy of it. Man, I've gotta get to listing this shit on WAG! ARGH! I must have the DVD case version of it as well, as it's just a disc in a jewel case.

Hexen II($6, RGA buy, big box complete) - Man, the manual alone is with the price of the game. It's incredible, like some sort of book or something.

Tetris Worlds($1, jewel case version) - Have it on Xbox, thought I could extract the awesome-ass soundtrack from the PC version more easily(and I was right, it's already in MP3 form).

Blade Runner($3, jewel case version) - Looks awesome and it was in mint condition.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2($1, jewel case version) - This was a great surprise, I didn't even know I had this until I was going through this stuff! Man, this game is awesome! I wonder where I came across it...it was only $1, so maybe CCA.

Quake III: Team Arena($2.98, jewel case version) - Scratch what I said about not having QIII: TA, I apparently do.

Frontlines: Fuel of War($2, complete) - Just one of those junk FPS games I couldn't resist, not for just $2.

Dungeon Keeper 2(free, disc only) - Found it in some old CD-Rom I came across. Isn't worth anything, but has that hot S&M chick in so I thought I'd take a look.

Chess Platinum($1, jewel case version) - Comes with US Chess, Battle Chess and Battle Chess II: Chinese Chess. In my neverending quest to find that one version of BC(3.1) that plays over the internet, I bought this. Not sure if it's the version or not.

Penumbra: Overture($1, jewel case version) - I hear this series is every bit as scary as Doom 3 and that has me seriously interested. Have two out of the three in the trilogy...but now, and you'll love this, every time I go to HPB I see "Penumbra Trilogy" for $6.98. One DVD, DVD case...I know I'm going to cave, I hate mult-disc installs...

Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile($1, jewel case version) - I have no idea...I just like games about ancient Egypt.

Requiem: Avenging Angel($3.98, jewel case version) - Heavenly FPS from 3DO...gotta have it!

Cold War($3, complete) - Third person espionage game from DreamCatcher. I think I bought it before I realized it was on Xbox...

The Dame Was Loaded($1, jewel case version) - Either a port of a CD-i game, or one that never made it to CD-i. Full FMV and point and click...should be wild.

Microcosm($1, new) - Should be a treat to see this in full color, I hear they used actual medical video footage for the backgrounds.

The Fortress of Dr Radiaki($3.98, big box complete) - Originally bought this to resell until I found out it's not worth anything. Uses the BUILD engine, I think, so I'm interested.

Fate($2, jewel case version) - I hear all sorts of good things about it.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D($2, jewel case version) - Like it on the N64, but the framerate was less than desirable and I think I can use my Logitech flight stick with it on PC.

Tetris Elements($3, jewel case version) - Another version of Tetris, I know...

Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness($1.98, jewel case version) - I had no idea this even came out on PC. Have always wanted to try it, despite hearing about how awful it is. Never made it to the Xbox, so I never did...

Thrills & Skills Pack($1.98, jewel case version) - Comes with three Interplay games, I bought it for one. VR Sports Powerboat Racing(2nd copy), Virtual Pool Hall(will be hard pressed to beat Maximum Pool) and Earthworm Jim 3D(had no idea it came out on PC, it's the one I bought it for).

ReMission($5.98, complete) - Weird, Indie game(I'm guessing). Sort of like Microcosm, you're (get this)attacking Cancer in someone's body. It's fully 3D, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Again, I love weird-ass, unknown PC games like this.

Ultimate Motorcycle Series($3.98, complete big box version) - Comes with three EA motocycle games, and again I bought it for one. Road Rash(2nd copy), MotoRacer 2(that's the one! Loved it on PSX, looks amazing with full 3D support!) and Superbike World Championship(looks ok, wouldn't mind trying it).

Alright, that's it...that's all of the physical games...will pass on listing the digital buys just because they weren't really RGA-related.

Buckle up, we've still got Sega(yes, everything Sega), Xbox, PSX(it's insane) and Nintendo(not just N64, I ran across a GBA SP, so now we're in to that too).
