Personally, I think if we spend a tremendous amount of time on the artwork, mechanics, etc. that this could pull off a commercial game. According to a recent poll on various communities, about %78 of poll voters said they'd pay anywhere between 8-15$ for a Biblical Cries download. Only a small percentage stated that they'd not buy it at all. They were judging on storyline concept, gameplay cocnept, and artistic value of what was shown (Latchingdon, creature, a few concepts)

Discuss. Note: Making a commercial game is reasonable withour talent pool, but requires more work in the way of perfecting game bugs, etc.

It depends on how polished the finsihed game looks. If you theink its good enough that people will pay for it then by all means sell it, btu then again if youredoing this as a precursor to making the fuill 3D version having it for free would most likely mean a lot more would actually play it adn it could be a good boost for the 3D version and mean more people will be willing to buy it instead, and with it being 3d you could proabbly charge more too.

Nightmare & Nightshade. Destiny, for eternity. <3
If people are willing to buy it then it could be worth selling to make some money. That money could help for future projects and the 3d remake. It doesn't matter overall, but if we can make money we may as well do so.

Well seeing as crappy AVEYOND can sell and that's practically just recoloured XP sprites, with a generic battle engine and a very weak storyline, it COULD always sell for something. :P Anything will sell, depending on how you advertise it and where.

I've sold games before and crap. Its just an option for us if we want to consider. :P

Commercial because those main character and creature sprites are the shit. I would pay for it.
