I'd just like a post to explain the new protocol in Chaillot.
The three first rules of Protocol are now:
1. Dominate 2. Subjugate 3. Control
But each of these new rules are more complicated than they seem.
If you can't protect what you dominate you don't deserve it and another male will take it. If you don’t cherish what you subjugate than you aren’t worthy of it and you will lose it. If you can’t serve what you control than it will slip from your grasp no matter how hard you try to hold onto it.
If you disobey these rules other males are free to kill you if they outrank you in any way.
Also the new protocol in Chaillot is much the same as the old Blood Protocol, but with a few changes. It does place males in a position of power and gives them the clear advantage in blood society, but it does not give them permission to do whatever they want. Males are held totally responsible for the welfare of witches that they interact with, if anything bad should happen to the witches Azmodean and those in his court will come down on those males like a ton of bricks. It’s not about male control vs. female control. Azmodean wants to control everything and this new blood protocol reflects this. If any male steps out of line in the end it will fall to Azmodean to deal with it if it gets to him. As for females he hasn’t changed anything on the surface, but indirectly he’s changed how males interact with them.
If you have any questions please ask in reply and I will try to answer it.
Effective immediately all changes to Protocol made by my predecessor, Azmodean Brutarus, are hereby revoked, and people are to return to following the Protocol which pre-date those changes. Anyone seen to not comply with this declaration will be subject to disciplinary action at the Province Ruler's discretion.
