When 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not

The Guild at a Glimpse:

The Priestess Guild, Aberdyn Manor, is home to some of the most esteemed Priestesses in all of Dea al Mon. A majority of the exterior of the manor is very opulent and grandiose; ivory and golden yellow walls bedecked with golden swags and ornamental terraces surrounded by wrought, gilded railings extending from every window. However, thirteen years ago a tragic fired raged through the Guild, decimating a portion of the manor. What was lost has since been restored, although the newest renovations are oddly different; with the golden ornaments removed and replaced with simple ivory walls and undulating, organic vines and blooms painted in varying pale shades of gold and yellow, the gilded terrace railings replaced with simple, lacquered wrought iron.

The Inner workings of Aberdyn Manor:

The interior of Aberdyn Manor is broken down in a similar fashion, there being two separate sections within the Guild walls. The first are the public rooms, any sort of offices, the rooms that hold the registrar’s and the classrooms where young priestesses are taught the knowledge of their caste. The rooms are open to the public upon appointment only; extenuating circumstances granted approval only by the High Priestess of Dea al Mon. The private quarters consist of the living quarters for the Priestesses, pupils and live-in staff of Aberdyn Manor. In addition to the Priestesses and students that inhabit the guild, Aberdyn Manor is also home to several Warlords, Witches and a resident healer that see to the comforts of the Priestesses, the students as well as the maintenance of Aberdyn Manor and the surrounding grounds. Funding for the Priestess Guild is provided by the Ruler of Dea al Mon. There are also males at the guild who serve as protection for the witches there; they are also trained in Virgin Nights and give safe options to the young Priestesses training there. Not to mention practice: both of the Protocol kind, and the inevitable flirting kind. Some of these males are there because of spouses, a love of lore, or simply receiving their “court” polish.

The Importance of Priestesses:

The Priestesses at Aberdyn Manor, those of the trained persuasion, provide many services for the citizens of Dea al Mon. They are qualified to educate a person in protocol and Blood Law, as well as any specific concentration they have trained in such as literature, mathematics, et cetera. They also oversee any Birthright Ceremonies and Offering Ceremonies, and may upon request oversee births, deaths and marriages within the Territory. They also, of course, tend to the altars that are spread throughout the Territory. Trained Priestesses at Aberdyn Manor primarily spend their time teaching young, gifted caste-sisters the craft as well as managing and protecting the Territory-wide registrars as well as the capital’s altar. The leader of the Guild is the High Priestess of Dea al Mon.
