Government Type: Monarchy
Monarch: King Frederick William III.
Capital: Berlin
Currency: Prussian Thaler

Prussia is made up of three distinctive parts. The first part is 'old' Prussia, it includes Brandenburg and the area east of the Elbe. Generally conservative and Protestant this region depends on Baltic trade and agriculture. The second part is East-Prussia. This area has been part of Prussia for a long time, and is a mix of conservative and liberal elements. Its capital is the city of Koningsberg, which is one of the most important cities in Prussia after Berlin. The third part of Prussia is the newly aquired Rhineland. Mostly Catholic and Liberal this area seems to be a pain for Prussia. As it also boarders France.

Following the war with France, the Prussian Army has two main components. The Regular Army, and the Landwehr. The Landwehr is made up of old regulars, and during wartime it is mobilised. It has tasks such as manning garrisons and providing a core of trained older recruits in time of need. The Regular Army of Prussia is made up of Regulars - the full time proffesional troops such as NCO's and the General Staff, and Conscripts. Conscription is universal in Prussia, and every able man has to join the colours for two years. After this time they join the Landwehr, during their time in the Landwehr (until 65) they must train four weeks a year with the Army. The Prussian Artillery and Cavalry is a proffesional force, and this made up entirly of regulars.

The Capital of Prussia is the beautifull city of Berlin. Built around a river, and filled with majestic government buildings, this city is without pear in the Kingdom of Prussia - or indeed most of Germany. It also is at the heart of learning in Prussia, having many famous universities. The Guard Armeekorps and III. Armeekorps have their barracks in or arround the city. With the Guards forimg the protective detail for the King, and the palace.

Province - Capital

Brandenburg - Potsdam
Großherzogtum Niederrhein - Koblenz
Großherzogtum Posen - Posen
Jülich-Kleve-Berg - Koln
Ostpreußen - Koningsberg
Pommern - Stettin
Sachsen -Magdeburg
Schlesien - Breslau
Westfalen - Münster
Westpreußen - Danzig

The Kingdom of Prussia has one law code. The Allgemeines Landrecht. Prussia is ahead of other nations in this aspect, because the law does not make a differance between landholders/nobility and peasants. Everybody is allowed to argue their case all the way up to the highest court in Berlin. The Judges are also supposed to be completely fair, judging on their judgment, and not on the title of the person who is to be juged.
