Faction Name: The Brotherhood of Tranquility Location of Capital or Headquarters: Modami, Terral, Kravvec, Lelstral, and Celestria. Current Land Under Control: The Brotherhood does not necessarily "control land", rather they own land in many different areas. Being that they are civil-made and contain people of many areas. Current Members: None of Interest Available Army Points: {I'm not sure? I think you decide this} Current Army: [Must wait for Army Point Count] History & Origin: The Brotherhood of Tranquility was established soon after the Wrath of the demonic swarms that plagued the lands. Based strictly around the containment and or destruction of magic and super natural abilities. Not being aggressive other than when needed, the Brotherhood does seek for a peaceful resolving to the spread of magic abilities, but is not afraid of conflict. They remain in power due to their growing numbers and high level of skill. Every member who joins must complete rigorous training and put in a certain amount of hours within the engine. The engine, is a training exercise that has taken many lives, but does not claim to do so. It is an incredibly hard task to defeat and is made of 95% physical training and 5% of magical resistance training. In the physical training the members undergoing the exercise must not only beat themselves but beat others attempting to join. With multiple objectives and the final task, it makes for an incredibly hard task. The magical portion, although the smallest, is the most difficult part of all the training. It requires the member to undergo a mental takeover, in which a magic user, which is used strictly for training, sit across from the member, or initiate, and attempt to infiltrate their mind and take control. If successful in resisting the takeover the initiate shall be hailed a Brother, or Sister, of Tranquility. Now, magic isn't considered illegal by the Brotherhood, but it is to be contained. The organization does not want harm to be done by magic users, and they are particularly effective in accomplishing this goal. Usually travelling in groups of 5, the organization scarcely loses a battle, even to skilled magic users. This being said, do not tempt them, for even by themselves, a brother, or sister, can easily defeat a magic user. (((Okay, before I get a rant about magic not existing, this is too be "founded" after the "Hell's Wrath", I just wanted to make it now since I was bored and was inspired to. I know this is awfully similar to the "Templars" in "Dragon Age" but it is mostly built off them. Although there are difference in accordance to power and such, such as them not having a larger political aspect, by this I mean the power to consider non-turned in magic users illegally on their own. People are allowed to live outside of the Brotherhood but are looked down upon in a huge way, discriminated against, and many teams hurt, although they are usually provoked to attack first. Wow, this explanation became a lot larger than I had planned. Anyways, whether or not it is scarcely, or largely, based of the "Templars" it makes perfect sense, since only some were granted magical abilities which made them much stronger than others who were not. It only makes sense that others would want this power gone. Now, thank you for much of your time.))) |
