What do you guys think about things that have been happening lately on the internet which could cause an "internet war"? I mean first we had Wikileaks, then we had the fact that Twitter was compromised and details of over 200,000 accounts released, what will be next? PayPal account details leaked? Internet is becoming dangerous and untrustworthy, and the Government need to pull out their finger and do something about it before serious damage is caused by these people. |

I'm not a fan of the instrictions that could be imposed, and I'm certainly not a fan of saying "hey government, come sort out this problem" when we as a society don't want our privacy compromised, don't want restriction of information and are more than willing to rally against them when they do something we find 'big brother state'. There is the risk of security breaches and leaked information in any medium - you have to be prepared to take the good with the bad. It's like, you've gotta be prepared to get viruses and malware if you download certain contents, regardless of any steps that are taken to avoid such. |
