Alex smiled at the girls reaction to coffee, and the look on her face when she tasted it. Especially the look on her face when she tasted it. Alex attempted to hid his grin, but failed miserably.

"I don't blame you for finding the taste...terrible. I can't drink coffee with out a good deal of foof. My sister takes it straight black, I don't know how she can do it. "

"Well how new are you, I've only been here for a few weeks. You?" Alexander asked as he picked up his soda and sipped it thoughtfully, setting it down again to address Gambit. "What can you...do, if you don't mind me asking? You know, like power wise."

Alex was fairly confident he knew what Alix could do, and if she was more than a telepath she certainly didn't seem to carry the air of being very powerful. Well looks can be deceiving.

Red-on-black eyes widened a little at the demonstration of Alex’s power. “Well, I’ll be,” he said softly, watching he sat comfortably on the food isle. A tad bit unhygienic in the Cajun’s eyes; just as well he didn’t plan to organise anymore food behind the teen’s butt anytime soon. "I have to agree with Gambit Alix, but i can't really vouch for American coffee. I'm more partial to cappuccinos and such myself.” Gambit grinned, “Nice ta be knowin someone be agreein wit me,” he simply said, taking a sip of his own freshly brewed cup of coffee, eyes now on Alix.

::It tastes.. interesting,:: Gambit nodded. “It be an acquired taste most be enjoyin, Aldough, no’ all be havin de stomach f’r it in de early mornin,” he admitted, listening as Alex spoke up yet again. "What can you...do, if you don't mind me asking? You know, like power wise," Remy figured that was an inevitable question around this place. “I be kinetically chargin objects, an on will be makin dem explode. Dere be two options ta de whole end product,” he began. In a movement too quick for the average eye, two playing cards appeared in his hand, already glowing with reddish purple energy. “I no’ be doin it in ‘ere, but if’n I be lettin dese go dey be goin boom, either straight away, or when I be wantin dem to.”

The cards disappearing back up into his jacket sleeve, Remy sighed, suddenly a little restless. “I be tinkin it be time f’r dis ‘ere Cajun ta be goin on mah own tour o dis place,” he announced, putting the already empty dishes in the sink, where he proceeded to rinse them off and place them in the dishwasher.

Once he was finished, and after glancing around the kitchen one last time, he nodded, “Oui, I be headin off. One way ta be seein if’n I be wantin ta be a part o dis place is ta be seein if’n dere be any parts o it worth stayin in,” he quipped, a smirk on his face. Passing by Alix, he said, “Tank yo f’r bein de cheeky little stalker yo are an bringin me here.”

There it was, the admittance, as he left the kitchen, that, so far, this place did indeed intrigue him.

"Impressive" Alex said, as he watched gambit light his cards up, almost the same color as Alex's smoke. A similarity Alex might have to look into, but he doubted his powers had anything to do with kinetics. But if truth be told he didn't have a scientific answer for his powers like Remy could. Just what he learned in seventh grade about matter transitions and the properties of matter.

Alex half wanted Remy to demonstrate the end result of his power but he understood he risks. He heard of mutants with powers so dangerous they couldn't touch thing, or people. Alex morbidly wondered if Gambit could charge people just like those cards.

Alex nodded to Gambit as he said his farewells even going so far as to say "bye" when gambit left. As Gambit walked out the door, Alex by change spied the clock, and remembered he had to leave, something to do with course selections. He didn't want Alix to think that everyone was leaving so he decided, but he had to go

" Hey, sorry Alix, i don't mean to abandon you but I have to go select courses, I think." Alex finished off his burger and soda, threw( or really set) his plate in the dishwasher and threw (this time he did through) his can into the recycling bin, with a little help from some strange air currents. "It was nice to meet you, hope to see you again soon." Alex said as he walked out the door, transitioning into smoke as soon as he was out the door.
