“A lab,” he repeated. “Sounds familiar.” Dia sighed and nodded. "Yeah. I told you we have a lot in common." More than anyone would really guess, unless they had read her thoughts and Logan's. The professor knew just how much the two were alike but with his passing so did Dia's half with him.

"Thanks. I'll have to bake you some cookies or something sometime. My brothers always loved my chocolate chip cookies. Even naming them after me." She was about to spill out the name but held back for a moment. He probably knew her full name via reading her file. "Heh. Rydia's cookies." She then shyly stated after that, "Rydia is my full name. You'll probably hear my family call me that." So what was the true harm in him knowing it was her full name? "I shortened it after realizing I was a mutant."

"Yeah. I told you we have a lot in common." Logan was tempted to say, “Yer think?” but held back. This was a pretty serious state of affairs, and he didn’t know whether to be grateful there was someone he could relate to, or saddened that there were so many more Strykers out in the world. He just leant back against the couch behind him, pondering what he was finding out here. Would there be anything else the two had in common?

He raised an eyebrow at her offer of cookies, unable to help the smirk that spread across his face. “Cookies,” he repeated. “Dia, Darlin’, yer might wanna rethink that offer. Not a big fan of cookies,” he thought about it for a moment. “Then again, I could be convinced ter eat some if they were wickedly chocolate.” Yes, Logan did have a weakness for chocolate, often getting up late at night to satiate this desire.

“Rydia, that’s a nice name,” he simply said. “I don’t remember my real name, just know Logan was given ter me from someone from my past. Stryker made sure ter erase everythin before tha operation.” He wondered if he’d ever find out the truth behind the name Logan, or what he was called before that? Every day he wondered…

“Dia, Darlin’, yer might wanna rethink that offer. Not a big fan of cookies,” he thought about it for a moment. “Then again, I could be convinced ter eat some if they were wickedly chocolate.” "I don't mean to brag but you haven't tasted cookies until you tasted mine. A lot of people praised my cookies, not just my brothers. Often asking me how I made them. Sad thing is the only thing I do is follow the recipe off of the back of the bag of chocolate chips." She shrugged. A lot of people did that, even those that praised her cookies. Yet each time she spilled her "secret" they would always respond in awe and wonder why their cookies never came out the same. Dia just had a natural knack for baking chocolate chip cookies.

"And if you want I can use a different kind of chocolate other than Nestles. I do believe there are bags of Ghirardelli chocolate chips." Her eyes rolled up as she thought about it then focused back onto Logan as she nodded. Yep, she was sure there was.

"Thanks. Since I'm the only girl in my family..." She paused as she smirked, "well other than my mom." Laughing lightly she continued, "My mom wanted to name me something unique. I don't know how she figured to name me Rydia but I like it. Though I like being called Dia more." It was alright for her family to call her Rydia because they were her family. But as for the rest of the world, Dia suited her just fine.

"I'm sorry that you don't know your real name." It was sad not to know one's true name. A true name, despite any heartaches it might have behind it, still gave a person a sense of normalcy.

The girl certainly didn’t lack in confidence. He just hoped, when he tasted the cookies, he too could say they were delicious. “No promises that I’ll like em too, Dia,” he said, just to cover his tracks, and any future possible offence. “And Nestles chocolate is just fine. Ever tasted tha main type over in Australia, Cadbury? It’s tha nicest chocolate my tastebuds have ever had tha privilege of eatin’. There ain‘t anythin like it.”

He had to agree that her name was definitely unique, his gaze falling on the clock hanging above the TV. “Listen kid,” he started, quirking a brow at her, well aware he hadn’t just called her Dia. “I’ve gotta few things ter do back at tha mansion, but need ter do a bit around here first. Yer welcome ter stay, watch TV, listen ter my music, or have a good look around,” he said, moving to place his beer bottle in the recycling bin. “If yer do stay, just lock tha door on tha way out, okay,” he informed her, heading for a side door that led into storage room/workshop.

"I'm sorry that you don't know your real name." he paused, glancing over his shoulder. “It’s okay, Dia. I’m hopin one day I’ll remember it,” he said, the tone of his voice full of conviction, as he disappeared into the room, closing the door behind him.

"I think I'll be heading out. I have a few things I need to do." Before she actually went to her house she'd need to figure out what she wanted to say. Frowning a bit as she walked out the main door she mulled over how she wanted to do what she planned on doing. She could either go into her room and roleplay a bit, that is if Alix wasn't around. Or she could type out what she wanted to say on a computer, that way she could also type out possible things to say in case her family said something to her.

Deciding that the latter route was the best she maneuvered her way back to the mansion. Upon finding her way to a computer she turned it on and double clicked on Word, then Dia began to type.

(Dia exits)
