The only comforting memories Anne Lee had of her family were with her grandparents. The years between when she was one and eight would always live inside her heart. At night in the orphanage alone they had helped her carry on. However this place was her new family and new memories would be created. Comforting was the thought.

She silently giggled at Arjun's attempt at modesty. Her eyes drifted once more to her basket and for the first time she noticed that a corner of Mittens underwear was sticking out. Not a care did she pay to any unmentionables for they were just clothing that needed to be cleaned. Of course slight embarrassment would follow if her underwear was shown but she would make sure that they were covered up before throwing them into the washer.

The small blonde stood up to her full height and jumped from the table top landing upon her sandaled feet. Pushing the basket over to the now free washer she thought briefly whether to separate the clothes; darks in darks, whites in whites, and colors in colors. But a clanging sound brought her out of the thought. Three more times the sound was made as whatever objects appearing landed on the washers top.

"Funny," she began with a joking laugh. "I've at last made it so quarters would appear whenever I did laundry but now I don't need them. Ionic," she ended in a smile. Picking the dollar up she threw them on the table and began to shove Mittens and her clothing into the washer. Only one load of clothing was needed for they never could afford the luxury of outfits upon outfits while traveling.

Arjun smiled. Anne Lee was by far the most interesting person he'd met yet, and was looking forward to up coming conversations they might have. He pulled his clothes into his basket and slipped on a teeshirt.

"Anne Lee, I liked our talk. Let us have another soon. Good luck with your laundry." he said, alittle too politely. After all, they had just shared a wonderfull experience.

Slowly but surely he walked out of the room, with one final nod to the girl.
