Time of Day: Noon-ish (mid- day) Where in Timeline: Jean and Scott's Wedding day In one location in the world, Spring came early… at least for one day. As Wanda Maximoff walked to the center of the garden, her footstep crunching in the snow, she knew that people, more than only her beloved brother, were putting great faith in her. Se would make the garden warm and beautiful. Later, Avery would arrive and use her plant magic to summon roses and make the garden bloom. She looked at the white crusted hedges and raised her hands to the sky. Although she had no knowledge of the elemental composition of water, nevertheless, at her whim, the bonds weakened and the water disappeared into the air, leaving the ground firm and not a waterlogged quagmire. High over the gardens and the walkway back to the mansion, a sparkling mesh appeared, trapping heating and repelling the winter chill. Wanda closed her eyes and breathed deeply, a smile formed on her lips; she had captured the feel and smell of a Spring day. Spring… the time for a fresh, new beginning after the frozen, barren time of winter. Wanda walked through the warm but depressingly barren garden. Hearts… Roses… were not only at the mansion but everywhere; yet another holiday tradition that the twins were experiencing for the first time, St. Valentine’s Day… the day for lovers. As her thoughts wondered, she gazed at the ground, not in the least surprised when plants with luscious red blooms, which looked vaguely like roses until you got a better look, and long green stems, smoothly emerged from the ground… growing and unfurling like a time-lapse film. Wanda looked at them and grinned; they were alive. She bent down and rested on her heels as she watched the animated roses, at least several dozen although Wanda didn’t bother to count, free themselves from their soil and walk away, using their leaves as little feet, disappearing in all directions. One scampered over her shoes and her hand darted down, closing over its thornless stem-like body. After a brief startled struggle, its squirming stopped. As she made her way to the music room, her thoughts filled with the music Pietro and Avery would play later, her finger patted the flower’s crimson petals. In her hands, the animated rose-creature bobbed and wiggled in apparent enjoyment. OOC- These little rose creatures have scattered and can now be found anywhere. There are non-hostile but other than that, can do things and react anyway you would like them to if you wanted to participate in a mini crises before the wedding. You could help find and gather up the rose-creatures... and considering that they look like roses and the entire mansion is decorated in roses, it isn't going to be an easy task. |

Rehearsal had gone well. Pietro would not be playing his violin, for the ceremony. Instead, he would be accompanying Avery's own, with the gift his beloved sister had made for him with the help of Ari Boyd. A series of glass tubes of various thickness, widths, heights, a cross between the parlor trick of playing water filled goblets, an xylophone and, in many ways, rather like a harp. It was a complicated instrument, the product of his sister's overactive imagination, and could likely only be played by one with Pietro's preternatural speed. The sound it made was ethereal and unearthly, as beautiful as the women who had pooled their talents to make it, and fitting to honor the man and woman would come together this day. Pietro and Avery walked together towards the gardens. The warmth of the air, a gift from his sister's spirits, called to them both. Avery surely because she did not like the cold, Pietro because he was so very proud of his sister for her participation. Wanda's gifts sometimes isolated her from the world, but she had risen to the occasion and he was pleased to see her so involved. It was as if she was returning to the world and that made his heart leap. Hearts... the theme of the day. Between his sister and Avery, Pietro's own heart was full unto bursting. What a glorious day. His pale hand held Avery's green one, in a casual grasp, the lightest touches of fingers, and as they saw Wanda approaching, they stopped. Pietro gaged his sister's face, to make certain she was not coming to report that something had gone wrong. "Is everything well, my love?" he asked holding his free hand out to her, "You have had no trouble have you?" She caresses the red rose in her hands, and it squirms at her touch. "Wanda..." Pietro gasped, and her took the little rose creature from her hands, "What is this? You have created something that lives? Is it.... the only of its kind?" |

Avery already prepared herself for the winter chill, knowing that she would hold her breath the second she stepped outside. Her mind told her that Wanda had already made the gardens hospitable but out of unconscious habit her body readied for what was suppose to come, muscles bracing themselves lightly. Fortunately, for she should’ve known better, a warm, pleasant breeze would caress her face. With a thankful smile she would let out her held breath and breathed in the lovely spring air that Wanda had created. No one would understand how comforting a scent that was. It was one of Avery’s favorite outdoor smells. With their practicing done, it was one less thing that Avery had to worry about before the wedding. She had been a little skeptical of Pietro’s new instrument. It was beautiful and sounded so angelical, yet initially she hadn’t liked the fact of not being accompanied by Pietro’s own violin. If anyone commented later upon her playing she could have humbly corrected that it was Pietro who had the real talent. Silly girl she was sometimes. Though with some kind, encouraging words from Pietro, Avery had gotten over it. In the past she had done solo pieces for people ten times the audience that would be here today. Though that felt like decades ago, she would still manage it.. Really she wished she could be up peeking in on the bride at the moment, but there were things that would need to be done first. A whole garden awaited her botanic talents and she herself had yet to get ready. If she wished to get her hair up and curled she best set determination in decorating things right the first time and not fussing and dilly dallying in her usual indecisiveness. Immediately afterwards she would have to run to the greenhouse where the bouquets were being kept. Why go to a professional florist when you had two or three under your own roof? Of course, without Wanda’s help in the arrangement Avery wouldn’t have been able to create anything as beautiful, credit would have to go to her. Once done with the gardens Avery would deliver them to the women in the Staff wing, which was no doubt in a chaotic frenzy as the ladies prepared, just to get a glimpse of the Jean, Mina and Ari. She was just dying to see their dresses. With Pietro at her side, he too wore a smile as they walked the towards gardens. Just lightly they held hands in a most adorable, sweet fashion. In their new budding relationship, Avery was still very much shy to displaying her affections publically. Not that she was ashamed to be with him, but she just wasn’t the cuddley, lovey-dovey types. Such displays of affection were set aside for more private moments where such things would be even more so appreicated. And so when she had first reached for his hand she had wrapped her index and middle fingers around the crook of his pinky. Nothing too bold but enough to let him know she cared. His eyes searched and fell upon his sister whom he called out to. He reached out to her as he spoke, suddenly becoming amazed to the creature that she held. Avery’s own bright eyes widened at the sight of the exotic creature. An animated rose of sorts, it seemed to wiggle and delight at Wanda’s touch. Immediately she had been drawn to her. It was something Avery had always tried to do once she had become familiar and well learned in the other aspects of her powers. It wasn’t a easy task for her, but the thought of one day bringing a tree to walk and move as ally of hers would be a great asset in a battle indeed. Sadly she had only managed the tiniest of dandelions which had withered and died minutes after it had been uprooted. There had to be a way of adjusting its composition so that it did not expend all its energies in moving above ground. Avery was just to figure it out. "Wanda..." Pietro gasped, and her took the little rose creature from her hands, "What is this? You have created something that lives? Is it.... the only of its kind? As Pietro took the fray creature Avery was allowed a better look at it. She smiled as she tilted her head, wondering if it would smile back. “It’s adorable Wanda!” She exclaimed in soft tones, her violet eyes flickering up to Wanda. “I’ve always wanted to create something just like this..” |

Anna knew that this would be a busy day. Already, from the first dawn of the morning, the mansion was busting at the seams with activity. People scurrying about, trying to find a missing shoe, or what to wear. Anna's own mind was swept up in the excitement. She was good friends of the Groom at least; Scott was her squad leader. And she had a few classes and run-ins with Jean. it was like the marriage of an uncle to her. Anyways, it could be fun dancing with some of the other students. But Now, Anna didn't need to get ready yet. Well, any more ready...She had her hair straightened, but not put up, her dress was o, but the sash wasn't tied, ad her cheeks were powered slightly, but other then that, Anna was o more prepared then anyone else. So, Anna wandered down the garden, where she heard rumor that it was going to be cleared for the wedding, though the thought of an outdoor wedding in the middle of winter made her wonder. someone HAD to be using their powers. It was something that was surprisingly rare in the Mutant High, seeing someone else use their powers. Except for the occasional spar, or training, Anna had never really seen another's powers in use here. She walked out of the door, bracing herself both for the shock if it worked, and the cold if it didn't and stepped outside the door. Anna stepped outside, expecting her shoes to sink into snow and her toes to freeze. However, Anna's foot firmly hit ground, as a warm spring breeze played with her hair. "Wow..." She said, spinning around, trying to look for the Glass over her head. However, the entire way up was all sunny skies right up to the sun. She looked around and saw Wanda, Pietro, and Avery fawning over something in their arms. "What's that you got?" she said strolling over to the group. But as she was walking over, Anna tripped suddenly on a stone, and toppled forward. Luckily, Anna windmilled, and staggered forward a few steps, before she regained balance. stepped down on her left foot, and felt the cool stone and the warm earth beneath it.. Anna looked back and saw he4r shoe laying in the walkway, about where she slipped at. She rolled her eyes and walked over to the ejected article, but something beat her to the punch. Something stirred in the bushes, walking off towards the shoe. Out of the foliage, a...walking rose come out, timid, but curuous over the odd shaped, blue rock that Anna had dropped. Anna froze, unable to think what to do next, as the Rose being reached out and crarressed her shoe, prodding it, looking it over like some sort of scientist, or a child. Then, suddenly, the creature picked up the shoe, which was about as big as it was, and dashed off into the underbrush lining the path. "HEY!" Anna hollered, snapping out of her stupor. "That...that thing's got my shoe!" She said, as she traced it's wake though the bushes. Anna looked around, being proper and all, she ran to the other side of the clearing, to head the caper off. |

Alexander truly disliked Valentines day. Having been lucky enough to be raised overseas he'd been sheltered from the blitzkrieg of marketing and media that accompanied this so called 'holiday' for most of his life. A few years ago he had the misfortune of discovering the holiday when he moved to France. He promptly took a disliking too it. Sure, giving a sweetheart flowers or chocolates was a nice gesture, but when you take away the spontaneity and replace it with a practically forced social custom the appeal was lost. Placing it in the winter also seemed like a poor decision, it was too cold to do anything but stay inside. Or perhaps that was the point? Either way, Alex was doing his best to put his misgivings about Valentines Day momentarily behind him for the sake of the wedding. Which was excruciatingly hard with all the decorations lying about the school, practically begging him blow them down. But he kept his free spirited ideals to himself, making a mental note to ask who was cleaning up the decorations and provide assistance. So instead of spending his day avoiding people and hiding in his room, he was getting ready for the wedding. He didn't really know Mr.Summers amazingly, other than the average faculty student relations. But he did know Mrs.Grey well enough, her being his team leader and all. Even if he didn't know the soon-to-be-couple, a wedding was a wedding, and let it never be said Alex would pass the chance to get all dolled up and got to a party. Besides, Alex was confident he would be able to steal some wine, something he'd sorely missed since his relocation, The first part of his day began with an extensive grooming, fingers to be trimmed, teeth to be flossed, and hair to comb. This was one of the times when he was glad his roommate rarely visited their dorm, although based on the large pile of plushies strewn about his side there was a strong chance he may very well have helped. After he got his person all straighten out it was time for the suit. He'd been waiting for the opportunity to wear the suit for a while. Perfectly tailored, even accommodating for the recent growth spurt he'd undergone, Italian, nearly black with a corresponding black shirt and no tie, two-piece single breasted, and most importantly pinstriped. Yes Alexander was reasonably choice when it came to his formal fashion, which he considered a boon rather than blatant vanity. Alright, so maybe it was vanity, he still looked good. So after fawning over his appearance for an absurd amount of time, Alexander was ready for the wedding. Of course, he realized in dismay he still had some hours to go before the wedding. And there was no way Alexander was going to take all that time to take off the suit and risk wrinkles. So Alex bravely ventured out into the world, hoping to find some menial chore or perhaps a few friends to pass the time with. So Alexander made his rounds about the school, trying to get out of the way as people rather frantically went about preparing for the wedding. Suddenly Alexander didn't feel as absurd about his advanced preparation. After a dozen more minutes spent wandering the halls, and stairs, and kitchen, and dorms Alexander decided to give up on his hope of finding something to do and decided to investigate the gardens, where the service was being held, mainly becuase the door to the gardens was only a few feet away. Alex was initially surprised by the warmth of the air, finding no need for the traditional bubble of warm air he normally wore on his winter outdoor escapades. Of course this casual surprise was nothing compared to the sight of an animated rose popping stealthily out of a nearby shrub, carrying a shoe. This instantly brought back memories of the magic crow tree, and his annoyance that he was never prepared for these sort of things, though a mobile foot wear stealing flower was generally hard to prepare for. Though the flower apparently was prepared for a run in with a student apparently, for a soon as it saw (can flowers see?) Alex it started to book it in the opposite direction. Which was more like an awkward hobble than a getaway. Still, it was impressive for a flower. But, unless the flower was also a shoe cobbler, that shoe definitely belonged to someone else, and Alex was not going to let any flora get the better of him. He was still a little jaded from falling out of the magic tree. So with a bit of willpower and a movement of his hand a contained blast of wind swept up the fleeing flower and his ill begotten loot, delivering the flower and shoe to his outstretched left and right hand respectively. Along with adding a few inches and thinning him out the last effects of puberty had given him a much more fine tuned control of his element. Now all Alexander had to do was find who had only one shoe. Or perhaps interrogate the flower, but for some reason Alex was nearly sure the plant wouldn't have much to say. |

Wanda’s face lit up when she saw Pietro walking toward her, with Avery at his side. Her gaze looked down to the rose in her hand when she saw their clasped hands hurriedly part, their fingers reluctantly separating. She smiled proudly as Pietro took the little rose; even though he could be abrupt at times, she knew his strong hands would treat it as delicately as a kitten. In Pietro’s pale fingers, the rose twisted, this way and that, as if taking in the view; its mind as inquisitive as its creator’s. As it … detected… Avery, perhaps sensing a link or affinity between them, its little leaves waved, reaching for her and crimson petals fluttered, furling and unfurling in its own form of communication. “Is it.... the only of its kind?" Pietro asked. Wanda’s response however was interrupted as one of the little flowers, perhaps a result of a bad bringing or simply that it was a good flower who had fallen in with a bad crowd, turned to mugging to made off with the loot in front of their eyes. Wanda broke the shocked silence of what they’d just seen, “Uhm… there were… a few … others. But they are sweet and good and,” Wanda spoke hurriedly but was interrupted by: "HEY!" Anna hollered, snapping out of her stupor. "That...that thing's got my shoe!" Wanda smiled proudly, “And do you see; they are making friends already.” |

Pietro held the tiny little flower creature in his flattened palm, the stem bent, roots swinging as they dangled off his hand. It looked for all the world like a little kid perched up high, looking around brightly. He showed the sweet thing to Avery, and it furled and unfurled its leaves eagerly, 'looking' between the elven and the witch as if it was overwhelmed by them both. Pietro smiled and said, "You see, your creation is struck by the beauty of you both. It knows not where to look. Silly little flower." He turned it so that it was looking at him and he said, teasingly, "Do you not know that I am the fairest of them all?" The flower scrambled into a 'standing' position and tilted its petaled face his way. The little thing reached up a leafy appendage to stroke his pale cheek and then it gave an exaggerated shudder, spinning around and holding out its leafy arms to the women, rejecting him entirely. Pietro pulled a pout, "My heart breaks," he said, melodramatically. The commotion as one of the little creatures stole Anna's shoe and Alex was forced to come to the rescue made Pietro realize that things could quickly get out of hand. "They are a delightful creation, my beloved, but do you think they should brought under control I think before the wedding, or they will surely upstage the bride and that is not fair. It is her day after all." He phrased it so, making it Wanda's decision to corral her beasties, giving her the chance to do something noble. He was not giving her an order, oh no. He wanted this to be hers and hers alone. |

Peering at the creature with a smile she lightly giggled as she seemed to grab its attention. Perhaps it sensed a common ground with Avery or merely attracted to her uniqueness. At Pietro’s comment she just shook her head wishing to given him a nudge but retracted it. She did so enjoy when he joked. On the surface Pietro came off as such the serious type. As he stayed in humorous, dramatic character Anna made her appearance known as she closed in on the group. For a moment Avery tore her eyes from the wondrous animated flower. "What's that you got?" [Anna] said strolling over to the group. Unfortunately it wasn’t long before she tripped and another little fray creature appeared and with excitement for the dropped shoe, ran off with it as if it were a prize. Like Wanda, Avery stared at it as it made its getaway, making no move to chase it nor to help poor Anna get up. One never got used to the unusual on goings of the institute. She would definitely write a book when she got older. Wanda’s voice snapped her from her thoughts. Wanda broke the shocked silence of what they’d just seen, “Uhm… there were… a few … others. But they are sweet and good and,” It was she then that was interrupted by Anna. "HEY!" Anna hollered, snapping out of her stupor. "That...that thing's got my shoe!" Wanda smiled proudly, “And do you see; they are making friends already.” Well at this Avery couldn’t help but see the humor. Truthfully it was all harmless. What damage could a little flower do? And so she burst into a string of musical giggles, coving her mouth as Anna bolted to block the flower’s path. “We may have our hands full here...” Avery muttered to herself in amusement as she watched Alex make his way onto the scene, rescuing Anna’s shoe. Then as Pietro spoke to Wanda of perhaps bringing a little control upon the creatures, Avery carefully took the flower that still reached out for relief. Cupping it in her hands she brought it close to her face to peer at it. It swayed to and fro and waved its leafy arms expressing its joy before it nuzzled itself against her cheek. “Why yes, I like you too!” Avery replied softly with a cheerful smile. Though at this point it was hard to tell if Avery was just playing along with it or if could actually speak to her. None the less she moved away from the siblings, giving them a more private moment. “C’mon, you can help me decorate, kay?” She asked it as she walked to the part of the garden where the ceremony would be held. To this it gave an enthusiastic nod of what could only be considered its head. “Oh no...the pleasure is all mine..” She seemed to protest with a smirk, giving both Anna and Alex a friendly wave from afar as she passed. |

Avery took the little flower and Pietro smiled, looking to his sister and said, "You bring so much delight, my darling," He cupped Wanda's dark cheek in his pale hand, remembering a time when their skin to was the same, and he said, "How very honored the Summerses are to have you bless their wedding with your very special brand of decorating. They will surely have a long and happy marriage, with no end of joy, and soon this school will be filled with many babies for you to play with." He kissed her chastely, and then pressed his forehead to hers. "Do you know how very proud I am of you for being a part of this? Your participation in the world beyond our little room is so very good for you, for us both, and I love you for every step you take towards being well again. You needn't worry about arriving there, my beautiful sister, just focus on the journey. I will walk beside you every step of the way." He stepped back from her and took her hand, "Come, my sister, let us round up your wayward roses and teach them how to behave properly at a wedding. We must be the standard of adulthood for these naughty floral children." He lead her over to where Avery was and said, "My love, do you think it could be possible that you use your affinity towards the botanical to summon them, perhaps, or to get your haughty little friend there to lead its brethren back so we may gather them up?" He cast an entirely feigned look of disdain at the snobbish flower that had so callously rejected him. |

Anna tried to hobble off to catch the shoe thief...but it was almost impossible to do with only one shoe on. Anna was sorely afraid that if she dropped the other shoe, she wouldn't have any foot wear left for the wedding. Luckily, Alex Legard showed up, and in with a blast of air, swept up the caper, and the loot back into his awaiting hand. He looked around for a moment, apparently trying to find the original owner of the footwear. Anna hobbled over, and smiled sheepishly as she took the shoe from his hand, and slipped it back on her foot. "Thanks", she said, as she teetered awkwardly to lift her foot to reach her hand. She reached over to his shoulder for support and finally got the shoe on. She smoothed the wrinkles in her dress, and smiled softly to the ground. It wasn't so much that she was embarrassed that a animated rose took off with her shoe. It was a bit more simple, yet exponentially more complicated then her critical mind would recognize. She was simply embarrassed that her glass slipper was saved by Prince Charming. She glanced at the Rose and tickled it's flimsy body gentle, like a baby. "I guess their not so bad..." She said in her soft voice. She looked over at Wanda, and the others. Anna shrugged her frilled shoulders at Alex party, and wondered over to the rest of the group. She sighed lightly, observing the surrounds in awe of the powers at hand. At an odd thought, Anna mused if...after all was said and done...SHE could pull something like this off. From what Cerebro thinks, her powers are simple reality warping at the simplest level. However, her powers and Wanda's were different in the respect that The Scarlet Witch had more experience, and more playground then little, young, Entropy. "Wanda," She said, unable to pronounce her last name. "I was wondering...if maybe after this was done you could show me how you do something like this..." She asked with all the air of student asking a mentors help. However, even Anna couldn't bring herself to flat out ask for her guidance. That would have been too intrusive; not to mention too simple. She glanced over at the Avery, on the other side of the Biodome garden preparing to add her part to this oasis. |

Time of day: about two hours too soon... Place in timeline: three weeks and some odd days since Intro Lesly, of course, came at a very interesting time to the Institute. Almost on the brink of Valentine's Day, and oddly enough a wedding of two of the faculty members. Anna had told her about it in passing, but she never realized that she would be required to attend. That is until the day of the wedding, when the sounds of people polishing themselves, and finding dresses and missing shoes woke up the normally grumpy morning person. Lesly got up and started to wander towards the kitchen when she was bowled over by a girl rushing over to her friends room with a hairdryer. The Author decided to go with the flow and just let it happen. She went in her room, and found a Sunday skirt buried among her belongings, and she wrote it clean and pressed. With a regretful sigh, she tied her hair back and was ready in fifteen minutes. Lesly followed a few students down to the first floor, (cause she was very lost in the mansion still), and swung by the kitchen on the way out to the reformed garden, where the ceremony was being held. Lesly whole heartedly expected to find an arch placed up in the middle of a snow field and benches lining an alleyway from the door. Instead, the warm spring air caressed her skin, and the fragrance of roses kissed her nose. She slowly took a step outside. taking in the simple smell of the flowers. "Only in Mutant High..." She said making her way across the path towards the seats. There, a few of her fellow classmates huddled around something in their hands. As she approached, Lesly recognized one of them as her sister. She rolled her eyes and sneaked around the other side, as to get behind her. Lesly got within two inches of Anna, and before Anything could be done, She lanced out and tickled her sides. "So," Lesly said, once she had Anna's undivided attention, "Did you really want me to skip this historic event on propose; or was it just a mistake?" she shrugged her shoulders playfully, knowing full well that Anna wasn't above retaliation. But then Lesly saw the Rose everyone was fawning over, and she immediately jumped in. "Awwww!" She said, pushing her sister aside to see the rose herself. "It's so cute!" Where did you get it?" she asked, looking among the faces in the crowd. |

Alex looked closely at the flower in his hand, it in turn doing the same to him. It seemed normal enough, green stem red flower leaves and all that jazz. It also seemed to have some degree of intelligence, moving its leaves around like little stubby arms, it's flower like a head. It certainly was something else. It also seemed to be a criminal, based on the shoe that Alex had in his hand. "Hey, who'd you take this from?" Alex asked the rose, who looked up at him with as much innocence as it could muster, even trying to use his(or her) leaves in as close to shrug as it could muster. Alex wasn't buying it, but he wasn't surprised the flower wasn't saying anything, half becuase of it's criminal nature, and half because it didn't have vocal cords. He looked away from the miscreant flora at Avery as she walked away and waved towards him, he returned the gesture, noticing the flower draped across her neck, a flower very similar to the fiend he had in his hand. So there were more of them, apparently some were friendly, or maybe it just appreciated being near someone with a similar shade of skin. Either way, he could see a horde of these flowers certainly causing some trouble at the coming festivities. Not to mention the number of shoe-less girls if more flowers shared the same obsession with stealing footwear that the flower lounging in his hand had. When Alex turned his attention away from the flower he noticed Anna Cuff hobbling towards him, so she was the unfortunate victim of the thieving flower, one mystery solved. "No problem" Alex said as Anna thanked him, nothing like a job well done "I blame the schools really." he joked, allowing the flower in question more room to move in his hand as it gazed towards Anna. He was about to offer her help in putting on her shoe, which she was having some difficulty with, but she got it herself, using his shoulder as support. He held out the rose as she examined it, obviously not holding a grudge towards the little flower. Alex had to admit that when it wasn't making off with peoples footwear it seemed pretty nice. Maybe having a few around school wouldn't be to bad. They'd just have to reform the bad apple, er rose, in his hand. Although it really didn't look that dangerous now. Alex followed Anna towards one of the Maximoff twins, the female of the the two the most likely cause for this rather unseasonal bubble of spring. Not to mention the the rose he still held in his grasp, looking about at the small change in scenery like a child, or maybe a puppy. While this wasn't Wanda's most spectacular achievement, it was most likely the cutest. Unless she animated some teddy bears Alexander didn't know about. Then Anna's sister appeared behind Anna, jabbing into her sides like his sisters had done to him. The sight of sibling quarrels made him almost homesick. Almost. Then the younger Cuff started to examine the rose that was now freely moving about his hand. The last thing the little flower needed was all this attention, it's probably got strait to his head. Next thing you know he'd(or she'd) be stealing articles of clothing. "Yeah well if either of you two want him or her" he said to the two cuffs "you can have him or her, I just found him or her by accident." Although he was getting attached to the little guy/girl. |

Avery stood with her new flowered friend at the designated ceremony area. She had been given lots of time a suggestions to get this right, of course highly influenced by Jean’s tastes and suggestions. Though Scott’s opinion mattered too, it was a common belief that the wedding was the brides ‘day’ and most men would agree with their ‘wife to be’ just for the sake of making her happy. Lucky for Scott, Jean had great taste and was no ‘bridezilla’. With a little love and creativity Avery’s part in the decorating would turn out beautifully. Or at least she hoped. She strolled up to where the isle was to be, all things imaginary in her mind as everything else would be sat up shortly after she finished. Shifting the delicate rose creature to her left hand, she raised her right and willed shimmering white mist to her finger tips. Vaguely she could hear the others speaking around her, with her sensitive hearing it was constant, but she payed no particular heed to their words. Eerily glowing fingers curled, resting on her chin in thought as in pictured the layout in her mind. “Let’s start with the archway shall we?” She asked her little friend with a nod and smile. It seemed to cheerfully bob its head enthusiastically, petals ruffling and shifting in approval. “Okay Ave, time to work some magic...” The elven muttered to herself. Once again she found herself ever grateful for Wanda’s dome of warmth. After last night and her usual strife with the winter season, Avery hoped she had enough energy to pull this off. Her mind secretly fretted once more of all the things she had left to do. Luckily her hair had been washed earlier but still had to be put up and her dress and her accessories applied. Not only that but she had to check in on the girls, give the boys their boutonnieres, get a chlorophyl injection and at least fifteen minutes under the uv lamp to ensure she looked fresh, healthy, and most importantly energized. Briefly she wondered how everything seemed to become forced together in the last possible moments causing her to be nearly overwhelmed and rushed. But, it was something that Avery was accustomed to and would pull out gracefully in the end. She always did. About to start she heard footfalls close to her, which was directly followed by Pietro’s voice. To this she turned to face him and his dear sister, allowing her powers to sparkle and drift away. "My love, do you think it could be possible that you use your affinity towards the botanical to summon them, perhaps, or to get your haughty little friend there to lead its brethren back so we may gather them up?" [Pietro] cast an entirely feigned look of disdain at the snobbish flower that had so callously rejected him. She granted him a smile that was both soft and mischievous before she chuckled at the look Pietro gave the rose. As if to comfort it from such hard looks she caressed its petals and cooed softly as she played along. In turn the rose ruffled its petals at Pietro as if it would stick out its tongue had it one. “I don’t know if I can bring myself to detain such free spirited expression...” The elven replied in a soft, slightly sarcastic manner. It was fun to watch the creatures run about and play at their own whim. Of course she knew they would have to be corralled or disciplined before the wedding or face conceivable disaster. By the subtle undertones of her voice it was possible that she could be coaxed into this sooner though.. |

JP between Wanda and Pietro "Come, my sister, let us round up your wayward roses and teach them how to behave properly at a wedding. We must be the standard of adulthood for these naughty floral children." “Oh, Pietro, it is a day for happiness and joy… they are just having fun,” she took her brother’s hand. “Besides, they are spirits. I can only ask them to come, not make them,” she said, her voice carrying a hint of slyness, as though she were planting an excuse in advance for not bringing the roses in to be controlled. Pietro kissed his sister's hand and said, "Ah, it is a day for happiness, but how happy will you be when the newly named Mrs. Summers trips over one of your spirits and blames your poor old brother for her plight. I will end up just a pile of greasy ash, and won't that make you a sad sister. You know how I hate to make you sad, and I would do anything not to hurt you. So, you see, I am only thinking of your happiness here." Wanda quirked her lips in smile, knowing that Pietro liked to tease and blow things out of proportion; it was their way of playing together. “Yes, that would be bad. Hmmm,” she hummed in thought, considering the problem. “What do roses like?” She caught his one quizzically raise eyebrow and gave him an exasperated sigh, then patiently explained as to a child. “Why run here and there and everywhere looking under rocks for them? Make them want to come to you. Sooo, what do they like?” Pietro smirked a little at her explanation, recognizing her tone as the one she used to use when they were younger and she was the one who was the caretaker. His muddled head often saw too many connections, too many facts, too many distractions, and so his sister had to speak carefully and so he would understand what she was telling him. He thought, but could not think of anything that a rose would like, except perhaps for fertilizer and he certainly did not relish the idea of sprinkling that about the wedding stage. "I do not know," Pietro said, "The rose, it did not like me, that was plain. Perhaps they will like you and Avery better?" Wanda considered and finally said, “I thought perhaps some ribbons but Avery is good bait too.” She turned to Pietro, “I think they would like your playing… you could be the Pied Piper,” she waved her hand airily, “or violinist… getting their attention while I dance and Avery uses her magic.” "Do you think it would work, my darling?" Pietro asked, picturing himself dressed in patchwork peddlers' clothes and skipping down a road as he played, followed by dancing roses. Ah, life was never without adventure when his beloved twin was nearby. "I dare not question you, though," he told her, "You are the expert in spirit behavior. Besides, it is a chance for me to see you dance, and you know how that always makes me to smile." He zipped off to return in moments with his violin and he tucked it under his chin, "What is it you think the little ones would like me to play?" Wanda didn’t have to pause to consider what he should play, “Magic Bird,” it was her favorite and she would graciously assume that the little roses had at least as good a taste in music as she did. Automatically, her hands grabbed a fistful of skirt on either side of her legs and she twirled experimentally. It had been such a long time since she’d danced, first she was blind and had nothing to really dance for, and then Pietro seemed to be gone or too preoccupied. Wanda kicked off the flat slippers she’d been wearing and strolled over to a large clear spot, gliding her bare feet along the tops of the grass as she went. As her slippers came off, Pietro was momentarily concerned. Though they were in a bubble of spring, outside her sphere of influence it was still winter. But she was so pleased and so excited by the prospect, he would watch her to make sure she did herself no harm, and would not hamper her should she be safe. He stepped to her side, and with a little bow of his head towards his sister, he began to play the requested song. Alex Legard, Anna and Avery were still within earshot, and might find this an odd turn of events. He cared little for that though, knowing that his green skinned elf at least would be amused. "Wanda," [Anna] said, unable to pronounce her last name. "I was wondering...if maybe after this was done you could show me how you do something like this..." Anna called to her just before Pietro started his song. For a moment, Wanda pursued her lips to ask What?, did she mean the dance, but in a spark of inspiration, the other possibility flashed in her mind. The Romaly dances were a distant cousin to the Middle Eastern belly dances and Wanda’s hips rolled like flames in the air as she looked over her shoulder at Anna. “Show you? You must have the magic in you… and you have to believe...” Pietro smiled, his sister made it all seem so simple. What an amazing girl she was, and here in this place, everyone who mattered could understand and recognize the gift they have been given by her presence. He was... feeling good. How unusual. |
