When: Around noon
Place in the Timeline: February 8th

Logan found himself wondering when the last time was he’d been with the woman he loved without there being some sort of drama involved. It hadn’t been for a while, not since… the Wolverine grinned. Oh, what a wonderful day that had been! A picnic near the waterfall, and then… well, he’d carried her back to the boathouse, where their relationship had been taken to the next level. He’d been more than ready for it then, and he was more than ready for it now, but, this time, he had something else in mind first. A surprise that he hoped would send her happiness levels skyrocketing over the moon.

Taking in the familiar scents as he closed the door of the boathouse behind him, heading up the path towards the mansion, the Wolverine’s own emotions were elated. He just knew what he was about to surprise Mina with would be taken with nothing less than overwhelming excitement. He couldn’t wait to take her out, away from the mansion for one night;; away from it all, for one night. He wasn’t usually the dating type, didn’t usually know where to start… thankfully, with the help from a certain Cajun friend, and really giving it some thought, he’d come up with something that couldn’t possibly fail.

He wouldn’t let an ounce of negativity get in the way of that sureness either, for, if he did, he’d be reminded of what the love of his life had gone through recently;; what he hadn’t been there to protect her from;; what everyone at the mansion had suffered, and then he’d be right back down in the doldrums like every other time, reminded about what exactly the life of the X-Men could be like.
He stepped onto the polished wooden floor past the threshold of the main back entrance, the Canadian’s destination not too far away, a smile lighting up his face even further as his enhanced abilities picked up on the familiar scent of one Mina Harker. “Time ter have some real fun Darlin’,” he said to himself, reaching the door to her office and knocking without hesitation, before just walking in, because, really, no one else was in there;; he’d have smelt them if there was.

He said nothing, just walked up to her desk and placed the tickets on whatever it happened to be she was looking at, “Time ter be a teenager again Darlin’,” he said, grinning from ear to ear and looking so very, very forward to her reaction.

When Mina first picked up on Logan's adamantium as he came up to her office, she almost wanted to hide under her desk as if he wouldn't be able to find her there, and then had immediately felt bad for the thought. It wasn't his fault that every time she'd seen him lately there had been some sort of drama involved, but still...when he knocked on the door she was worried that something else was going on, and mentally braced herself for it.

The smile on his face when he entered her office eased her fears somewhat, but she was still the slightest bit nervous, though it wasn't like he was going to tell her Sentinels were attacking the perimeter with that grin on his face. She tried not to pick at the fact that he'd just walked in without waiting for him to answer, and smiled as well.

"Hey Logan, what's up?" she asked, but he didn't answer, just strode right up to her desk and laid a plain white envelope on top of the file she was looking at. "What's this?" she asked curiously as she picked it up, turning her gaze away from him as she reached inside, pulling out the two slim pieces of paper.

Immediately her eyes went wide in disbelief, and she was tempted to pinch herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming. Her eyes darted up to Logan for confirmation, and that look on his face told her she wasn't dreaming. She looked back down to the tickets and read it again, just to be sure. The Rolling Stones, February 8th, 8 pm, at the Sovereign Performing Arts theater in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Now, many would expect Mina to be a ballet and symphony type of girl, and while she did love those, she'd been raised on rock and roll. "Oh my God, Logan, are you serious?" she exclaimed, bolting out of her chair and around the desk to practically fling herself into his arms in a rather girlish show of enthusiasm. "I can't believe it! How in the bloody hell did you get these tickets? This tour's been sold out for months!"

Ah, the simple joys of leaving someone hanging, "What's this?" he watched her pick up the envelope and proceed to take out the tickets, knowing full well he was about to surprise her with something she’d missed out on way back when she was still a young girl. Logan suddenly let himself think about what she would have been like back then, young, beautiful, but with the whole other side most really did want to forget when they grew up. Teenagers were sometimes disrespectful, ‘I know everything’ brats, and Logan had been at the Institute long enough to understand that to its fullest degree.

When her reaction came, it was everything he had hoped for and more, her eyes widening merely the first step to something he’d already pictured her doing, "Oh my God, Logan, are you serious?" his arms tightening the moment she landed in them. "I can't believe it! How in the bloody hell did you get these tickets? This tour's been sold out for months!" Wolverine just grinned, “Darlin’, how long do yer think I’ve had em hidden from yer,” he stated, more than asked. “I’m good at keepin stuff a secret, thought yer’d already know that by now,” he teased, hugging her close to him, then planting a kiss on her lips.

“Yer better be free ter start gettin ready now, we need ter hit the road ASAP,’ he soon informed her, unwilling to let her go, yet, having to if they were going to get there on time. “And, Darlin’,” he caught her gaze, winking, “this ain’t just about tha concert.” He was pretty sure she already knew that though. “I’ve planned ter get yer away from the mansion, away from tha drama, and in my arms all night. Of course, that’s after we get there, and, now, before, cos I am rather reluctant ter let yer go,” he leaned in to kiss her again, this time not about to pull away anytime soon.

“Darlin’, how long do yer think I’ve had em hidden from yer,” he stated, more than asked. “I’m good at keepin stuff a secret, thought yer’d already know that by now.

Mina grinned broadly at his words -- not that she hadn't been grinning already -- and wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders as he hugged her in return, nearly lifting her off the floor. All her worries and concerns that their relationship seemed to be based off of nothing but drama began to slip away and she returned the kiss he gave her, happy little butterflies blooming to life in her stomach. It was silly, really, but with everything that had been going on, well...she had just needed to be reminded how he could make her feel when the world wasn't crumbling in around her ears.

He told her about the rest of his plans and a little thrill of anticipation shot through her. It would be the first time they'd been together away from the mansion, just the two of them, with nothing to worry about but each other. Here, they could be alone, but not really. There was always something going on at the school that called them back from the boathouse if they spent time there, or there was Meghan to worry about in the next room if they stayed in her room.

But Pennsylvania was just too far for them to go to for the concert and drive back the same night, and so that meant a night away from the school, away from everything, and Mina couldn't wait. And, apparently, neither could he. At his last statement she bit down on her lower lip slightly, smiling coyly up at him. "I'll see if Jean and Scott can take Meghan for the night," she murmured before his lips were on hers and she stopped making a list of things she had to do before she left inside her head, instead concentrating just on the man currently holding her tight.

There was no doubt about it, he’d hit the jackpot with this one! This trip was going to be well worth anything he’d had to sacrifice to make it happen. Just watching the sheer joy and excitement light up Mina’s face;; feel her hug him so tightly because she just couldn’t wait for what was about to happen. The anticipation levels had been growing for quite some time, now, to see the entire surprise come to fruition, to actually know the woman he loved was over the moon about it all, well, it simply gave Logan a strong sense of satisfaction, like nothing he’d felt before.

Gently pulling away from the kiss, he was reminded of what had been mentioned before his lips had found hers. “Yer think Scott an Jean’ll mind, lookin after tha little one while we’re gone?” he had to admit, that was something he hadn’t thought about… who would watch over Meghan. Shoot! He was definitely still getting used to this father thing. Actually, it wasn’t that he hadn’t thought about it at all, it was more along the lines of simply assuming someone would be able to take care of her. They had so many members of the ‘family’ to fall back on, after all, little Meghan would be greatly taken care of no matter what was going on.

“C’mon Darlin, time ter get movin on this,” he leaned in to kiss her again, “as much as stayin like this all day an night would suit me just fine too,” he freely admitted, with a knowing smirk. Stepping back, he gave her room to retrieve anything in the office she needed, before giving her a grin and leading her out and away from her responsibilities at Xavier's for just one night.
