There's an open tag to all Woodwork taking students, as well as anyone else that may be passing by in Carving Cupboards.

Will be a good chance for some actual in-class interaction, but, most of all, a chance for those involved to meet and get to know one of our newest members, Kay... her character being Erin Kerrigan, AKA Replica.

So, come and join in, cos "Yer all know tha consuequences of not turnin up ter one o my classes..."

Can we say Obstacle Course, anyone?

(((Woops! Posted with the wrong account...)))

Timeline: April 2nd, 1330 hours... (1:30 PM)

Warren Worthington, Alias; Angel. That was the man Shina was looking for right at the moment, and she wasn’t going to give up very easily. It was naturally her first order of business to meet her section sergeant or squad leader or whatever it was they called them here at the Institute. Still, it was indeed Shina moving through the halls, and the way she walked reflected that. Muscled arms moving perfectly in tune with another, fingers curled but not in a fist, and a large stride… definitely something that had become force of habit with all the Drill and Ceramony she had done in the military. She wasn’t trying to look that way, it simply was just the way she walked. Still, kids moved out of the way for the blonde woman, curious to know why she seemed to be on a warpath, and not wanting to be in the way.

Shina had, or more correctly Jane had found out that the winged man liked open spaces, where he could stretch his wings in quite a literal sense. Considering that he likely would have at least a six foot wing going in either direction, it made sense for the man to be cramped unless outside. Not many places within the school could deal with such large amounts of personal room for a good stretch… at least, not as far as she knew. As Shina approached the door, she cracked her neck by tilting her head to the right suddenly, and then pushed out into the lawn.

Everywhere mutants did things, most of which normal human kids activities, that they otherwise would never be able to partake in because of fear and oppression. Here, they were smiling, having fun, making friends… and that made even the stone cold Shina smile. Xavier had built quite a good place for these kids to call home… and it wasn’t like they were just lazing about either. Shina had taken a look over the shoulders of a study group on her way here and seen some of the topics they were studying… some of which were college level, easy. Very impressive.

Not knowing where he might be, but knowing full well that he would stand out, Shina sent out a pulse of her invisible energy outward, acting like Sonar, and giving her a general direction in which to travel and look. It wasn’t long before the feedback from her pulse identified where the man was. He wasn’t very easy to miss, considering he was the only one currently gliding around the grounds. She walked in his general direction, sent out another pulse to identify his exact location as she got closer, and then stopped completely. “Excuse me, Mr. Worthington! May I have a word with you?” she said, her vocal prowess powering her voice, honed to do so if need be from calling cadence while marching soldiers. She just hoped that the man, still in flight, would hear her.

Since the Johansson's attempt to ruin him, Warren had been getting used to a lot of changes in his life outside the Mansion. By far the strangest was the fact he no longer had any reason to bind his wings nearly as much, and having them out while he was not in the Mansion was a pretty strange feeling. It wasn't quite as liberating as he used to imagine it would be when his wings were harnessed and he was sitting in a board meeting almost going out of his mind. In fact it left him feeling kind of tense and uncomfortable, constantly on edge, but he supposed he was getting a complete welcome into the life of a mutant. He still had extremely conflicting emotions about the whole thing, the way his business was treading water, the protesters that surrounded the building and the sheer amount of hate mail and death threats didn't help his peace of mind but generally he tried to carry on as normal.

No longer binding his wings so often didn't mean he wanted to get out and stretch them any less, and so flying was still a regular thing, being confronted by a member of the Institute, who wasn't Scott, Jean or Ari, while he was still in mid air however, wasn't a regular thing. The sound of someone calling his name reached his ears, and as he came into land a little way back from the young woman who had come to speak to him he merely gave her a smile and closed the distance between them. He tried to recall who she was, searching his mind before it clicked. "Of course. Shina isn't it? You're on Paragon." he questioned, recalling what he had read about Shina and the little that Scott had filled him in on. He had seen the file photo, but she stood out, anyway, so even from a description he probably could have put a name to the face. "What can I do for you?"

Shina was amazed by the man who was flying around. It was always humanities dream to fly… Shina herself had found herself immersed in a dream where she was capable of flight… and that feeling was like nothing else on earth. This man… her squad leader, had the ability of her dream fully realized. It was easy to see why he was called Angel though, seeing that the blonde was a peak of human so called ‘perfection’. Still, she noted his reaction to her as she called out, a little surprised for one reason or another. Not a big deal, by any means, but it showed how much the man loved his own ability, and got caught up in it. Still, he gracefully landed and slowly approached. His look seemed curious and thoughtful, as though he were trying to recall something.

"Of course. Shina isn't it? You're on Paragon."

Shina snapped to attention for a moment, but knowing that even for her that was a little much she quickly went to ‘At Ease’, her hands in the small of her back, straight with her thumbs interlaced. Feet shoulder-width apart, face locked with his, and body rigid, she responded. “Yes sir, I have been assigned to Paragon Squad, and I was informed you were the appointed squad leader.” Shina’s words were both respectful and straightforward, presenting exactly what was going on.

"What can I do for you?"

Shina continued to track his movement with her head, and her blind lightly glowing blue eyes saw something that no one else could. His blood was laced with enough bio-energy that he likely had something special tied to it, something that only Shina could see. “Sir, I am here for familiarization with my squad leader, as well as requesting any taskings that you require to be complete.” Her response was instant, clear and strong. Anyone with half a brain cell could see she was military, motivated and ready to do almost anything he asked. Her muscled figure didn’t waver, the only motion being her head moving to track him and the slight rise and fall of her chest, indicating that she was indeed not a statue.

“Yes sir, I have been assigned to Paragon Squad, and I was informed you were the appointed squad leader.”

Warren cocked an eyebrow in slight surprise at the mannerisms the younger mutant exhibited, the military baring and the formal way of speaking. He wasn't really used to it, even as an X-Man with Scott as the leader. "Yes, I am." Warren informed her, giving a slight nod. He had to admit, his knowledge of the blonde woman was very limited, as he hadn't really had the chance to sit down and read through her file properly, or even arrange a meeting with her. Currently the squad groupings were slightly defunct anyway with the new measures taking place around the school, but he wasn't going to turn her away if she wanted to talk to him as he was technically her mentor and therefore supposed to help her settle in.

“Sir, I am here for familiarization with my squad leader, as well as requesting any taskings that you require to be complete.”

He studied her for a brief moment, watching the movement of her head, reminiscent of both Scott and Max and the glow of her eyes. He couldn't help the little flicker of concern however at the statement of blind obedience and the way she spoke with such confidence in placing herself in his command. He wondered briefly how far she would go, what kind of orders she would follow before her free will kicked in and she refused. It was troubling, especially with the changes in the school and the world, if there were people of such obvious servitude, ready to do whatever was asked of them without question.

"To be honest, there is a lot going on right now, Shina." Warren explained to her. "I will try and organise a group meeting at some point, but as you know there are a lot of...changes going on at the moment, a lot more pressures on the school as a whole that cuts into time that might be spent in squads. However, we can maybe organise something for another time and I'm free for the moment so if there is anything you want to ask me, then please go ahead"

Shina hadn’t doubted in the first place that she had found the right person, but opening with confirming his identity was something that was good for first sentences between strangers. At least the man hadn’t criticized her for her normal militaristic manner… it was just her way of showing respect to him. If Scott had deemed it wise to be put under his guidance, regardless of experience, than obviously there was a reason. Scott didn’t seem to be the type of guy to be placing people around in random squads without any rhyme or method… and so, she would trust that this was a good decision.

He then went on to talk about his lack of free time… and how he was planning to organize some kind of meeting with the rest of the squad. It took a moment, but Shina realized that she was likely imposing in some way on what very little free time her squad leader had to himself, of which he was obviously enjoying before she had interrupted him. Still, he had invited questions, and honestly, there wasn’t a single bone in her body that didn’t tell her to ask a series of questions that would likely take hours to properly respond to… but she knew better. Shina was to wait for him, not the other way around… that was the meaning of superior, in a way.

“Actually Sir, I think I will hold off on my questions until the Squad Meeting that you are planning to organize. If there is anything you need to ask me, or anything you need me to do, let me know.” Shina was being particularly nice to this gentleman, perhaps because she had to ease off a bit on her military-honed rough edges. She could be downright harsh if she chose to be, and more often than not, she came off that way… but as Scott said, this is a School, not Basic Training, so she needed to ease off a bit. That was something that did not come easy to the woman who had lived, ate, and breathed military for several years prior. Still, there were other things she could busy herself with… so she wouldn’t take it personally… and rarely did with anything.
