Time of Day: Around five in the evening Place in the Timeline: May 1st, 2022 ((OOC: Obviously, this is a future-thread, and sort of AU, set 14 years in the future. Rosie is 18. No worries!)) ![]() (Future Rosie) Rosie was nervous. She paced the foyer restlessly, heels clicking against the parquet softly, and evey few moments her face turned to stare at the grandfather clock in the corner. He was late. Of all the days that Will could have possibly been late, it was on the day he would meet her parents. And, well, the rest of the mansion. Though the eighteen-year-old had spent most of the day in the hangar, tinkering with a plane that she was currently updating and refitting, there was no trace of oil or grease anywhere. Every hair was perfectly in place, every bit of makeup perfectly applied, and god help anyone in the mansion who messed it up. Heaving a deep, but soundless, sigh, Rosie sat down on a bench and crossed her legs daintily, careful not to let anything show beneath her sundress. After careful consideration -- and fashion advice from Ari -- she'd chosen a jean jacket to pull over the sundress, not wanting to seem too formal. This would be the first boyfriend that she'd invited to the mansion. While Will was a mutant, his power was harmless enough that he didn't have to live there (he possessed the power of finding items that people had lost, strangely enough). Now, Rosie grouchily found herself thinking that he'd better find himself soon, and get there before she found him. As her carefully-lined eyes turned to the clock again, Rosie felt a pang of worry. What would the others think? Well, it wasn't as if it mattered, really...not in theory, anyway, but Rosie desperately wanted Will to get along with her family. He was of the sort that would, and famously, but Rosie only worried about those first few awkward minutes. Hopefully, no one would try and kill him. Underneath the folds of her skirt, Rosie crossed her fingers, praying. That wouldn't happen, but still. Just in case. |
