Taylor moved between the library shelves, arms full of various text full of techno-babble. Despite his uber-1337ness, Taylor's expertise lay within software and programming. Of course, extensive programming skillz were required to be 1337. If you're a 1337 programmer, you can easily become a 1337 hacker. Gaming 1337 was a mildly different category, but usually it intertwined with the others.

While Taylor, true to his codename, was all of these various types of 1337, but his particular brand required more knowledge than most people. It came to him while he was in the Danger Room. His abilities required that he had knowledge of software, which he did. But he had the ability to use the software and circuitry of a given piece of technology to control the hardware.

The book in his arms all concerned robotics, mechanics, computer circuitry... Hardware, in short. The physical peripheral of Taylor's software manipulations. His powers, as they were, were good for support-type characters (switching into RPG thinking for a bit). If he was to become an a attack type character, he would need to bring his cyberpathic doings to the physical. That was why he needed to know precisely how the mental and the physical connected in his case. He had to understand how circuits relateded to and their precise effects on hardware. This was something that nobody he knew could help him with. Even Jean's powers, though similar, were very different.

Hell, maybe one day he could build his own techno-gadgets. Like Forge. That'd be cool.

Ok, I think this'll do for now...

As Taylor made his way to a table, so he could at least skim some of these books before borrowing them. About half-way from the middle of the shelves to the clearing with tables, Taylor noticed one more book that struck his fancy. Robotics for Dummies. Ok, he wasn't a dummy overall, but in the field of robotics, he had only a very basic knowledge outside of computer systems.

As he attempted to maneuver his arms to grab the book (without disturbing the books he already had), he noticed the one on the very top of his pile beginning to slide. As he moved to compensate, he threw another out of balance. After that, it was a chain reaction. Taylor could only watch as his carefully constructed pile crumbled in his arms, jumping back slightly, lest some of the more heavy texts land on his foot. That would suck.

Place in timeline: Two days after Where Loyalties Lie

The library was one of her favorite spots in the mansion. The first and foremost was her dorm, followed by the student media center, and then the library. So it wasn't a surprise for the small blonde to be scanning the shelves for a book she liked. Anne Lee was whistling to herself. As she walked her black dress swayed a bit. It was as frilly as it normally was with white lace accenting the cuffs of the short selves and the collar as with the edge of the skirt. Today she opted to wear solid white stockings and of course her black Mary Jane's with their thick soles. Talk about comfort and odd dress style?

A couple of days had passed since the possible rebellion came to her attention. The thought of it thrilled Anne Lee to the core. There had to be many ways out of the school that even Cyclops didn't know about. There seemed to be a lot of people sneaking onto mansion grounds near the waterfall. There had to be a back door there, she had thought. It would be more fun to find an unconventional way to get out. What about digging a hole under the fence? Or melting into some semi-translucent substance and melding into the wood-work? Then there was always hailing a taxi.

Ooh, it didn't matter how they were going to get out. There was going to be a rebellion and she wanted to be part of it. She would be the one to figure out those escaping and those wanting to do so but were afraid. The information would be hoarded until it was demanded from her. Anne Lee could see herself handing of over the information with the biggest smile on her face like the one she was wearing now. The book she had been looking for was found. The problem, it was on the top shelve. Now where did the step stool go so she could reach it?

And books fell. Instinctively Anne Lee threw her arms over her head. Taylor was nearer to someone then he thought. A couple of the books were going to hit the small blonde haired girl. Taylor was to busy trying not to have a hurt foot. At the very last possible second every book he had collected disappeared. Breathing a sigh of relief Anne Lee looked up, finally. "You alright, Taylor?" she asked. It was odd that she knew the name of someone she had yet to meet.

At her shoulder level the books materialized from no where just behind her. They fell into a crooked pile. "What are you doing?" Anne Lee asked trying to regain normal breathing. Was she scared of the books hurting her or did she almost out do herself?

Taylor was just thinking about how upset he was going to be since he'd have to pick up those books and balance them all over again when they all just, kinda.. Disappeared, seemingly replaced by one of his classmates. He vaguely recognized here. Not from a class, though. Just random sightings around the mansion. A name sprung to his mind. Anne Lee.

The sheer randomness of having his mini-collection dissapear put him in a state of stupid shock before he realized that this girl had almost gotten hurt because of him.

"Oh my God, are you ok?" He looked at her. She didn't seem hurt, just scared. That was good. Kinda. The fact that she wasn't hurt was good. Once he realized that, his anxiety faded a bit, and the back of his mind started to wonder where his books went, and if he'd just wasted an hour in the library.

Oh, no. There they are. He thought as the books appeared behind Lee (for that was his new nickname for her).

For an instant he wondered how she did that, but it wasn't important. She was speaking to him. That was the priority. In response, he pulled out the book he'd been reaching for.

"I was doing a little research on robotics."

He felt like an uber-nerd as he spoke, but then, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It was always the nerds who got the hot girl (or guy) in the end.
