Reality Warping
"Don't you fret, little one, I am going to help you find another black knight, since I don't think I'd fit in your little basket." He took it from her and put it on his head like a hat. "Hmmmm, I do look rather dashing, don't I? ... Pawns, we need a knight. Our little guest needs one to save her parents. Does anyone have any suggestions?"

From out of the crowd came a voice, its Romanian accent thick but smooth. “And why could it not be you?”

Longshot and Rawson had both encountered the Scarlet Witch in their time; one while she was covered in blood and ravens were pouring from her mouth, causing Longshot leap away and scream like a girl, and the other saw her in the sewer, waiting with a group of others to free her sister.

She didn’t exactly pop into existence, sitting at a table and holding a glass of something purple in one hand and incongruously smoking a pipe with the other, it was more like she had been camouflaged and simply blended into the crowd, like how you could stare at a jungle scene and not see the tiger until she pounced, ready to claw your flesh from your bones. It was simply luck that she hadn’t been seen.

She set the wine glass on the table and brought the end of the pipe to her mouth; it was a recent acquisition. She’d been walking through Mutant Town and saw it in the window of a tobacconist. The bowl of the pipe was of a bearded old man, his face etched with wrinkles and something about it called to her. She wanted it, and in a moment later, her spirits delivered it to her. Whether or not the shopkeeper had been paid, never crossed her mind.

Her gaze fell on the drowsy little girl. “Some little heroes need the help of a witch, but still, a fine start.” She brought the pipe to her mouth and to anyone looking they would see the wooden face yawn in sympathy with Rosie.

“But what makes you a knight,” she inquired of Longshot, purple smoke escaping her lips with every word and forming the image of an armored knight floating in air for a moment before a stray current of air whisked it away. “Do knights not defeat dragons?”

“Perhaps the noble knight needs to defeat a witch instead?” She advanced on Longshot, her unseen power whirling around her like hurricane of improbability, sensed and felt by everyone but not a flower petal rustled or hair fluttered in the physical world.
