Riva

A music festival sounds like an awesome idea, let all the young people interact and mingle. Riva would most definitely go, maybe help with getting word out of the event and scattering a few flyers around New York, scouting for mutant-acts, etc.

Any excuse to throw Riva in a mosh pit and send people flying is a good one XP

The rescue team is full and we have the kidnapped mutant (Alix) - So whenever I'm given the goahead, I think this plot is ready to start.

Does Alix have any major enemies who would do anything to capture her?

If not, we could always use someone from Storm's tribe.

The only thing that could enter her mind as Polaris and the others pulled up was why hadn't she been there. Her team- her friends. And she hadn't been there. She'd been helping the X-men, finding mutants with Cerebro, splitting her time as she'd promised the now de-aged Jean she'd do. Of course, the disrupting effect that the fiasco on the bridge had caused had more than spurted into her mind, leaving only bare fear and dull realization that Magneto wasn't a crusader for the good of mutants, he wasn't out for every mutant ever oppressed. If had been, there would've been more research. Statistically, with the mutant population what it was in New York... there'd been young mutants. For a second, her fist clinched and within moments she stood- Shaking gloved hands barely fast enough to take the helmet off her head. Any other time, the emotions in what she'd seen would've eaten her up from the inside. But that was then. This.. this was now. Not only was she older, but she'd trained herself to take it.

It'd taken everything of her will not to rush to that scene the moment she'd picked up on it in Cerebro. By the time she'd reached her tiny moped, however, the call had been made. They were heading back to the school and by whatever higher power she could possibly worship- she'd be there for them now. With more physical exertion than she rarely ever chose to demonstrate, she moved from the garage and to the front, ready to face the broken, injured members of her team. The med staff might've been too young right now to do much of anything.

But she'd still help. She was standing there the moment they pulled into the drive, completely ready to do whatever necessary. Already she'd alerted whatever staff or team members were about and capable of helping. "Lorna..." She drifted off, quietly, presently, as expected, much more emotionally telling than she ever was when she was younger. More than able to convey her apology of not being there, her worry over Lorna, and the silent sternness that would keep her from going back to the scene.

"I can take the twins.. explain to them as we go with telepathy... I've alerted whoever can help us to meet us in the infirmary.."

Wanda
Reality Warping
JP between Wanda and Pietro

The dash away from the horrible scene all sped past Wanda’s mind in a blur. When they piled into the new car, she’d whimpered slightly, a high, confused mewling that didn’t escape her throat when Lorna kept Pietro instead of giving him back to her. Even so, she was mollified when saw his dark curls over the back of the seat when she stood-up; something that the Haley-woman disapproved of and kindly, but firmly, kept making her sit down.

She gasped and walked on anyone in her way to get to the window; Lorna taking him away.

< “No!”>

Pietro had clung to his older sister when she tried to put him in the car, not knowing what was happening, too dazed and overwhelmed. But he had heard Wanda's soft cries, and curled in Lorna's lap, he had turned his head left and right to try and see her. He found that his voice was trapped in his throat, so he had no way to call to her, a hundred things to say log jamming in his little mind. Lorna kept putting her hand under his chin and looking him in the eye, saying soft cooing words he didn't understand. The white haired lady who had picked them up had looked at him worriedly too, but he hid his face. He didn't want anyone to look at him. He was too little, too scared, too hurt.

As Lorna took him out of the car, and stood him on the side of the driveway, he looked around for Wanda and didn't see her. He clung to Lorna's hand and dug his feet into the ground, showing for the first time a little awareness of his surrounding beyond the shock of trying to process what was happening. He would not leave without her.

< “No! No,” she screamed frantically and pounded on the window, < “Pietro! Don’t take him.”> Her little hands thumped dully against the glass. A desperate thought scurried across her mind in her fear: their father had been evil what if Lorna was the same… taking Pietro away. She screamed in frustration, there was nothing else she could do.

Pietro broke loose from Lorna when he saw his sister in the window, and he reached up, placing his hands against his twins. He cocked his head to the side, the dried blood on his cheek hidden in shadow. < "Wanda..." > he whispered, < "My Wanda..." >

Lorna was joined by Alix, as she opened the door, but neither twin saw the new arrival. The moment the door was opened, Wanda tumbled out and Pietro threw himself at her. They huddled together, comforted in each other's embrace.

"Wanda, it's okay! It's okay!" Madison said, placing his hands on her shoulders, trying to calm her down. "She's not gonna hurt him, she won't. She's one of the good guys, remember? She won't hurt him."

He carefully climbed out of the car after the twins and took a deep breath as he looked around the premises. He vaguely remembered this place. He had been here once, for some reason. It was... what was it, exactly? A meeting of some sort, yes, that's what it was. What were they meeting for? That, he couldn't remember. He did remember it getting crazy at one point. Really crazy.

"It'll be okay, I promise," he reiterated, even though he knew she couldn't really understand his words. He hoped at least that she could understand his tone.

He glanced around, his eyes darting from side to side rapidly as his legs fidgeted restlessly, bowing in slightly as he hopped lightly from one foot to the other. He bit his lower lip and looked up to Lorna, politely tugging on the bottom of her shirt to get her attention.

"Um... uh... miss?" He asked tenatively, his breaths short and rapid as he looked around. He stood up on his tip-toes and whispered quickly, "I really have ta go potty..."

Julio Richter

Julio was a man on a mission, and nothing had better get in his way. He sped down the interstate and various roads to get to the mansion as soon as possible. He passed cars as if they were parked not caring about the police; if they wanted him they would have to catch him first. Sure it may not be the right frame of mind for someone who has ties with the police and is an investigator, but under the circumstances he didn't care.

The turned and went down the interstate off ramp. Steering and changing gears bothered his ribs making him hiss for breath. He was still pissed at the fact that he got his ass handed to him on a silver platter. He shouldn't have let it happen, and he should have done more to help everyone. Havok told him he did good though. He's probably just saying that under pressure and stuff. But it felt nice to hear it. He tried not to dwell on that fact too much; he had more important things to do.

After a bit more driving Rictor finally neared the mansion. He hoped that Lorna and the kids were already there, and that nothing happened along the way. He drove through the gate and up the driveway. He saw Alix and Lorna fumbling with the children. Thank God they're safe. He parked, and walked up to them still supporting his ribs with his hands. "I hope you guys made it safely,” Julio said somewhat short of breath.

Seeing Lorna made him cringe a bit. Getting burned was not fun, and hurt like hell. Those wounds would definitely blister, and be sore for a while. It was heartfelt seeing the way Wanda and Pietro acted just being separated so shortly. He wondered briefly if that's how all brothers and sisters acted at a certain age. Not having any brothers or sisters he didn't know.

Jet Black

Jet said nothing the whole way, after what she saw. When Madison grabbed her hand she didn’t see Jon give her the thumbs up to let her know he was okay. And with being so concerned about Jon, the blonde toddler didn’t see Lorna getting burned. But when she saw the green haired team mate and her burns, her eyes welded up with tears. The twins were fussing about something but because she couldn’t understand a word of what they said the little girl merely stared.

During the car ride the little girl kept quiet, even as they pulled up to the mansion she said not a word. Jet thought the mansion looked familiar but didn’t know why. She climbed out of the car after Madison and looked around. The twins were comforting each other and the blonde child stared in envy. Knowing good and well she would never have that kind of relationship, or even friendship for that matter, with her own sibling. It didn’t matter though. While Madison asked to use the restroom, the little girl continued to look around. Her stomach gurgled very quietly, the toddler was a little hungry.

She wanted to tell someone that she was hungry, but Jet didn’t feel like saying a word. The events at the bridge was still sinking in, seeing everything happen in her mind over and over again. Eventually, probably even later that day, she would get over it, But for right then it was still fresh in her mind. The blonde toddler straggled behind and wondered if Lorna was going to be okay, she wondered if the rest of her team was okay. She turned her head to see Julio, or Ric as he was more commonly known around X-Factor. He didn’t look to well his self.

Jet took a deep breath. And waited for one of the grown up to take all the de-aged X-Factor members inside.

Lorna Dane

Lorna heard the sound of Wanda’s scream as she stepped out of the car, fear striking deep in her heart as a million different scenarios ran through her hand. She was her sister’s desperate face at the car window, banging hard on it with her fist and starring frantically at the window. Before the de-aged mutant could get herself into a proper tantrum, Lorna opened the car door, feeling Pietro’s hand tighten around hers, his small frame not budging for a moment before he suddenly let go and ran to Wanda as she tumbled out of the car into his waiting arms.

Lorna found that she didn’t really know what to think or do about that little display, she had needed to get out of the car to open the door and as Pietro and Wanda couldn’t understand what she was saying there was little she could do to reassure them she had not been trying to separate them. It was increasingly clear that as the bodies of their team mates had grown younger, their minds were slow deteriorating to the same level and in the twin’s traumatised and immature state, she sort of doubted that even if they spoke the same language, no one could have done much to calm them down until they were together.

"Lorna..."

She turned at the sound of someone saying her name, green eyes landing on the figure of the older version of Alix, feeling immediately relieved that her team mate was around and the help she offered. The mention of telepathy had Lorna looking doubtfully towards the twins. While it would help to be able to reassure and communicate properly with Wanda and Pietro, she wasn’t sure how they would react. “Alix...thank you. Please be really gentle with them. I don’t think they remember much of before... the telepathy might scare them and end up hindering more than helping.”

She watched for a brief moment as the other members of X-Factor and Haley climbed out of the car, Jet silently and Box with a little more noise, his demeanour strangely twitchy all of a sudden. “I think we should keep all the ki- ...de-aged members together and move them down to the Infirmary. I want them all checked out thoroughly. Maybe get Jean down to talk to them. And I’d like to stay close to Pietro and Wanda, so I’ll go with you.” She told Alix, aware that she might be sounding a little demanding, but she needed to get the point across. Once the others were settled and Pietro’s head wound was seen to, then she would see about getting someone to do something about her burns, but until then, she was going to concentrate on the others.

A small hand tugged on her shirt, and she looked down to see Madison hopping from side to side. Lorna wasn’t an expert with kids but that particular move was universally translatable. He spoke, confirming her suspicions that he needed to find a restroom and Lorna decided this was something she would not be relating to Box once he was grown up again... if he was grown up again. “Okay, we’ll find you somewhere really soon. Just hang on.”

She looked up and caught Haley’s eye apologetically. “Would you mind taking Madison, Haley?” she questioned “If you go in the main doors, turn right and then it’s the fourth door on the left.” Looking down at Madison, Lorna gave him a little smile. “Go with Haley, Madison. She’ll sort you out and then you can come and join the rest of us in the Infirmary.”

Another car came down the driveway, drawing Lorna’s attention and she say Ric behind the wheel. He approached, and Lorna nodded as he spoke. “We’re all in one piece and about to head down to the Infirmary.” She cast a critical eye over the other X-Factor member, seeing that he was out of breath and looked to be in some pain. Considering the way Magneto’s dino lackey had hit him, Lorna wasn’t surprised.

“You can get checked out as well. We have a surplus of Angel’s blood for transfusions which should help you heal faster.” She was counting on some as well, as her face and hands were hurting mercilessly, the skin tight and hot around them. Plus she did not really want to add facial burns to her list of scars. More than anything she wanted ask about the other members of the team, but she thought it was better to wait until they were all inside the Mansion and the children were settled in.

Taking a deep breath, she collected herself and moved towards the twins and Jet, her hand briefly resting on the top of the little blonde girl’s head before she crouched down “You okay, sweetie?” she asked Jet, who had been completely silently for a long time now. “We’re going to head down to the Infirmary and help everyone get better, alright? Then we’ll see about finding some different clothes and food for you all.” Lorna looked to Pietro and Wanda, lifting a hand to gently brush Pietro’s blood stained cheek, the slow burning anger inside her surfacing once more at the sight. Not wanting to split them up again, she held out one hand for either of the twins to take, her sleeves once more covering the worst of the burns as the other hand she held out for Jet to take. She looked towards the others in the group and nodded slightly. “All set?”
