I'm going to get Diego back into the mix and I have a plot that I'm thinking up for later but first I need to set his story. A lot of things happened to him from the time he left to now, which are being explained in Past, Present, Future, and Diego ends up back in Los Angeles. I want to do a roleplay with someone with Diego during this time. Is there someone who can think of a reason for one of their characters being in Los Angeles and roleplaying with Diego? Somebody?

It was a big day for Rahne Sinclair. Weeks ago, she made the order, and waited, waited, waited. And then waited some more. Then she called the company to check on the status of said order, and was told it had to be delayed due to lack of inventory. She expressed her disappointment as politely as she could manage (there was still a sharp undertone of anger to it), but still she waited.

And now they had finally come in, and she couldn't have been much more excited. The set of six porcelain dolls were packed in a large cardboard box, and self-sufficient creature she was, Rahne had insisted on carrying it up to her room all on her own. Even if anyone had offered assistance, she wouldn't have taken it. She would have told them she could handle it, and that it was no problem at all.

And strength-wise, it wasn't a problem. She was more than strong enough, even in her baseline humanoid form, to carry the fairly hefty box up the stairs and down the hallway.

Sure, her line of sight was disrupted, and her balance wasn't entirely as centered as it normally was, but she was fine.

It had been a few hours since Bobby woke up but it still felt like he was groggy. He walked down the hall biting at a hangnail on the side of his pinky. He looked up just in time to see a box headed his way. He jumped out of the way in time not to fully crash into the box or the person holding it.

“Whoa! Need help there?” The Iceman asked as he grabbed onto the other end of the box so it wouldn’t fall over. Seeing that it was Rahne carrying it, he spoke again, “Here let me carry that. A beauty such as your self should be doin the heavy lifting. That’s what saps like me are for.” He winked to the red headed young lady and continued, “You can be my spotter.” He didn’t know Rahne that well mostly that she came from another country but that was about it. Bobby took the box from her before she could respond.

Whether she wanted the help or not the iced mutant would feel too much like a scumbag to let her carry it. He might have been a flirt, a prankster, Icy cold, but he was still a gentleman. That was the charm that was Bobby Drake.

"No, no, I've got this just - hey!" Rahne stumbled a bit as he took the box from her, and glowered at the young man, placing her hands on her hips and jutting out her chin. It was barely audible, but there was a low, rumbling growl emanating from her throat.

"I was doin' just fine, an' I dinnae need yuir... yuir... ah, hell..." she huffed out a short breath and shook her head, her expression of anger fading quickly. "Thank ye f'r yuir help. An' sorry I snapped. I was bringin' it down t' muh room. This way."

She began walking down the hall again, expecting Bobby to follow. She glanced behind her to make sure he did. "I dinnae think we've been properly introduced. An' if we have, I've certainly forgotten yuir name, if'n ye can forgive me f'r that. So I'll just make like we have nae been introduced an' start it from there. Muh name's Rahne. Like water fallin' from th' sky but spelled different. Rahne Sinclair. And yuirs?"

She made certain not to get too far ahead of him, and as such adjusted her normally brisk pace to one a bit more subdued and leisurely.

"RAHNE!"

Rosie hurtled around the corner, her small arms outstretched for balance as her bare feet slapped the wooden floor. Her face was split with a grin -- the cause of her glee was mere feet behind her. A series of colorful wooden blocks, five in total, were telekinetically strung out behind her, floating along as though she was tugging them with a string.

"MISS RAHNE, YOU GOTTA SEE!" She bellowed at the top of her small lungs, surprisingly loud for such a little girl. Rosie couldn't wait for her teacher to see what she had learned to do. It had taken her ages to perfect the skill, and put in all the practice to even float the blocks that were currently following her like ducklings.

As soon as she rounded the corner, however, Rosie's eyes went wide. She had spotted both Rahne and Bobby...and the box in his arms. Quickly, she tried to backpedal, but the wooden flooring was too slick and she found herself unable to stop as she hurled towards Bobby and the box. Behind her, deprived from concentration, all of the blocks clattered to the floor, but Rosie obviously didn't notice. As if in slow motion, she reached them with a shriek of fear.

“The lady doth protests too much” The Iceman thought in his head. Keeping a small smile when he retrieved the box from Rahne. He heard the small growl coming from her and raised an eyebrow. The red head apologized and Bobby shook his head meaning it wasn’t necessary. If she didn’t want the help or not he very well couldn’t let her continue to carry it.

After she properly introduced herself he smiled a charming smile and said, “Well Rahne, I’m Bobby Drake. You can call me Bobby, Drake, Iceman, Icy, Stud, whichever.” He winked at her and continued, “I’d shake your hand but… ya know this box is pretty hefty. I wouldn’t call myself weak or nothing. Actually I call my self a well tone hotty but this box has some weight to it. What in it?” His curiosity about the contents in the box wouldn’t be answered.

Just as soon as he finished Bobby heard the tiniest voice screaming out for Rahne. He wasn’t able to see much, and tired to look over the box to see who was headed towards them. But no such luck. The iced mutant had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach that something was gonna hit him.

She couldn't help but smile as he chattered. He was talkative, for sure, and there was a certain charm to him, even if he was laying it on fairly thick. Alright, very thick, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. No, not necessarily a bad thing at all.

"Stud, hmm? Well, at least ye've got a healthy ego about ye... oh, no..." that voice could only mean one thing, and with what was in Bobby's arms, it couldn't at all be good. She sprung into action, dashing over and meeting the little girl before she made contact, reaching around to her hips and swinging her up into the air, holding her upside down with relative ease.

"But Rosie, dear! How ever can ye show me somethin' when yuir upside down?" she held the girl there for a moment before transferring her to her right shoulder belly-down, face forward.

"Well, if'n ye must know, I bought muhself some decorative accents f'r muh bedroom. I'll show ye when we get there," she said with a small smile as she continued walking along, Rosie still held on her shoulder, toward her bedroom. "'Tis nae very far, so dinnae ye worry yuirself about it."

Rosie couldn't help but squeal, her feet slipping and sliding on the bare floor as she scrambled for purchase. She squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for the impact and the disappointment of the adults around her...but it didn't come. Suddenly the little girl was airborne, upside-down with a whoosh.

"Rahne!" She squealed, breathing easier as she cracked her eyes open. With no collision in the near future, Rosie smiled crookedly, arms and legs flailing as she tried to right herself on Rahne's shoulder. "I...I did it!" She said proudly, pointing at the stationary blocks as her hair fell into her face. "Didja see?"

Trying to lift her head so that she could see Bobby from around the shoulder she was draped over, Rosie gave a sheepish little grin. "Sorry!" She chirped. A faint blush crept over her cheeks; the little girl had a faint idea of how reckless she had been, and how close she had been to causing a calamity.

Falling silent, Rosie watched as they neared Rahne's room, having to giggle just a little as Rahne's fireman carry style made her bounce with each step. Why couldn't she, Rosie, do anything right for a change? She was always being a nuisance, or a pain.

"Wha's in the box?" She asked in a whisper, nuzzling Rahne's cheek with her own affectionately. "Squeaky toys?" This made Rosie dissolve into giggles; she couldn't imagine Rahne playing with a squeaky toy, but someone had suggested it to her playfully one time and she couldn't get it out of her mind. "Can I play too?"

Rahne told him it was some sort of decoration for her room. That was fair enough, the rooms were sort of boring unless you put up posters or some sort of decoration. The Iceman had a few posters his self. Dane Cook, a movie poster, and of course the lovely Tyra Banks. Yes, Tyra… maybe not the Sports Illustrated cover she did, but one of her model shots.

Bobby wasn’t sure if his roomie appreciated it as much as he did. But what guy didn’t have a poster of a beautiful woman on his wall? Rosie chimed in her apologies and the iced mutant peeked around the box to see Rahne holding the little red headed girl. It was funny; she was so much like Scott and Jean. And while he thought it was terrible to think about her not being the same blood as the Grey-Summers’, she was still so much like them both. She was a Grey-Summers.

He nearly laughed at his train of thought, “Grey-Summers… why they hyphened it boggles the mind.” The logic behind it was reasonable but if he were to ever marry someone he would hope that chick would take his name. They headed closer to Rahne’s room and he spoke, “Wait… am I even allowed here anymore? I don’t want an eyebeam to the face. And let’s face it I tend to… not control myself.” Bobby winked at Rahne, hopefully she knew enough to know his reputation.

"Oh, I must 'a missed it, Rosie-Girl. Ye'll jus' have t' show me after we're done," she smiled as she reached up with her free hand and ruffled the girl's hair up. "An' no, 'tis not a squeaky toy, ye silly wee rascal. They are, in fact, very expensive, very fancy dolls. Strictly f'r display purposes."

She glanced back at Bobby, lifting an eyebrow and titling her head to the left. "Well, I s'ppose I've got t' let ye in since yuir carryin' muh package. I'll jus' have t' risk it, I s'ppose. Though I should warn ye, ye'll get much much worse than an eyebeam t' th' face if ye simply refuse t' control yuirself. Though I'll have t' let Rosie beat ye up, since I dinnae want yuir blood on muh nice clean carpets. Blood leaves such a difficult stain, after all."

She quickly flipped the little girl off of her shoulder, righting her with ease and holding her in front of herself, securing her around the waist with her left arm while holding the girl's left hand in her right and away from the body.

"La da, da dee da, da da da da daaa....." she began to sing in a loud and exaggerated voice as she began to waltz down the hall in a 3/4 rhythm. "Ye'd better catch up, Mister Drake... da da da, da dee da da daaaaa...."

What Rahne and Bobby were talking about went completely over Rosie's head, but as her parents did that all the time she just dismissed it. Adults were weird, after all. Bobby's complete forgiveness of her clumsiness went a long way to cheer her up, and while Rosie pouted just a little at the thought that Rahne hadn't seen her new ability, she still had to giggle. No squeaky toys for Rahne. Dang it.

"I'll get ya one." Rosie vowed, imagining Rahne snuggled with a squeaky snowman, knawing on it. She squealed just a bit as the young woman righted her, wavering a bit in Rahne's arms before they started moving again.

The waltz was enough to make the little girl giggle helplessly, her face turning pink and bare feet waving as she fought for breath around the laughter. Between it she managed, "But...but I'm not...not gonna beat...beat him up!" She couldn't imagine beating anyone up, unless it was a bad guy. Certainly not Bobby.

Rosie put all her weight into the dance, swaying back and forth and bobbing her head in time to the music -- well, the tune that Rahne was singing. She could see herself and Rahne in fancy dress, with silk dresses and tiaras on waltzing down the hallway, and Bobby in a black tuxedo. The thought made her grin.

"Rahne!" She giggled fianlly, squirming. "Bobby! You gots ta dance too! 'cause...you just gotta..."

If he could see Bobby would have laughed at the site of tossing around the little red headed girl. Rahne and Rosie exchanged words on beating him up. He gave a small chuckle and replied, “If anyone can do it, it would be Rosie.” He’d never lay a hand of aggression against a lady, big or small. Rosie could very well beat him up. Under the right circumstance it was something to brag about, but in a conversation with the guys the Iceman kept his lips shut about letting girls beat the snot out of him.

Rahne started to sing out a waltz until she spoke up. "Ye'd better catch up, Mister Drake...” He peeked around the box and said, “I’m getting there… I think...” Rosie chirped in, "Bobby! You gots ta dance too! 'cause...you just gotta..." Bobby laughed. Although dancing wouldn’t be a bad idea first thing was first; getting this box to Rahne’s room.

“Sorry kiddo, but I got me two left feet.” He didn’t know how good he would be at ballroom dancing or waltzing. But when it came to the sort of high school slow dancing he was the master! Well maybe not a master but pretty damn good if he did say so himself. He wondered if maybe he should take up some lessons in dancing. Really sweep the ladies off their feet.

Bobby continued to follow.

"La da dee deeee, la da da da da dee deeee..." Rahne twirled into her room, extending her arms and dropping the little girl right onto the bed. She had left the door open, so access was simple enough.

The room was fairly basic in its decor, with white walls and a few bare shelves attached to them. Above the bed was a poster of a pack of wolves running through a snow-covered landscape at night.

"Alright, let's get that package opened up!" she spun easily over to Bobby, still feeling in a silly, playful mood. She reached up with her right hand, and only allowing the wolf to come out in her right index finger, sliced open the tape with a quick swipe before letting the fur and claw melt back into her skin.

"Oh, goodie!" she clapped her hands excitedly as she looked into the box and pulled out one by one, her purchases. Peter Pan, Wendy, and Captain Hook from the Disney cartoon. Each was in a colorful windowbox, with fabric costumes and poses set to replicate specific scenes from the film.

She leaned over and have Bobby a quick peck on the cheek. "Many thanks t' ye, kind sir."

By the time Rahne finally dropped her on the bed, Rosie was breathless with laughter, and she clutched her sides and giggled hard. "R-Rahne...ya dance...k-kewl..." The little girl managed between bursts of giggles. After a few moments of giggling helplessly, Rosie finally caught her breath enough to roll over and crawl to the edge of the bed to where she could see what was in the package.

She watched, tilting her head, as the flaps of the box came loose and Rahne parted them. For a moment Rosie was reminded horribly of her own origins here at the mansion, but then the little girl shook her head to rid the thoughts from them. She didn't want to think about that, not now when there was joy and delight about.

When Rahne revealed the Peter Pan, Wendy, and Captain Hook dolls, Rosie's breath came out in a whoosh. "Wow..." She whispered, sliding to the floor and stepping closer. They were so perfect, and Rosie couldn't resist reaching out to touch. She caught herself, though, remembering that she had to just look and not touch, but it was hard as she clasped her hands behind her back.

The dolls were just like from a fairy tale, and she watched them thoughtfully, then turned to Bobby. Rosie wrinkled her nose at the kiss -- "Ew!" -- wondered briefly at how weird grown-ups were, and decided to let it go as well. Such was a four-year-old's mind.

Bobby leaned in closer to see the dolls Rahne was talking about. They were cute, chick stuff, but cute. And it wasn’t quite what he expected. The Iceman thought it would be some African dolls or some dolls that would help with nightmares or good fortune. People sure were surprising. Suddenly Rahne kissed his check and thanked him for helping her out. Rosie chimed in her two cents about the kiss she gave him.

“Heh, it’s no problem really.” With a satisfied smile and sigh Bobby raised his arm and flexed his muscles. “That’s what I use these massive guns for.” He spoke with a wink in his eye. “Helpin the ladies in distress.” He patted Rosie’s head and told her, “Some day you won’t think it’s so gross.” The Iceman smiled down to her, she was a little cutie pie. The little redhead was still so innocent to everything around her after all.

Bobby mussed Rosie’s hair and started to walk backwards towards the door. Pointing his thumb behind him the iced mutant spoke, “Well I’m gonna bounce outta here before Scott or Logan show up and rip me a new one. Plus it’s almost time for lunch.” He stood at the frame of the door.
