--- As per request, I have formed a list of likely candidates amongst those Madison Jeffries had contact with while still alive - those worthy of ascension, those not, and those who should be watched closely as potential threats to the cause.

X-Factor

Maximoff, Pietro, AKA Quicksilver - Superhumanly fast, both in mind and body. Could be very valuable, especially considering his temper. However, his devotion to his sister {see Maximoff, Wanda} makes him an unlikely candidate for the role of Horseman. He must be watched carefully, as he will be trouble.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Maximoff, Wanda, AKA Scarlet Witch - Ability to alter reality is immensely powerful, perhaps the most potent superhuman on the planet - or at least, would be were her grasp on reality not so tenuous. Unfortunately, her powers have inadvertently warped her mind to the point where she no longer perceives reality, and that would make her a liability were she to ascend.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Summers, Alexander, AKA Havok - Ability to channel solar radiation into plasma heat is both volatile and useful. Is insecure in leadership role and has difficulty escaping brother's shadow. Has a history of meandering between causes, shows subconscious lack of dedication. We can give him that dedication.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Richter, Julio, AKA Rictor - Emits vibratory shockwaves from palms, effectively creating tremors in whatever they strike, which is usually the ground. Military history, combat proficient. Past haunts him.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Madrox, Jamie, AKA Multiple Man - Ability to replicate to a heretofore unknown upper limit. Ability would be useful were the replicants consolidated in mindset. However, each replicant represents a differing aspect of Madrox's psyche, and often causes him to be at war with himself. He has no useful value to the cause.
Status: CHAFF

Vistagraph, Violey, AKA Ventus - Controls wind, moderately powerful. Strange phobias, including technology, limit her already limited potential further. I see neither potential nor resistance in her.
Status: CHAFF

Carosella, Guido, AKA Strong Guy - Superhumanly strong and durable. Physique indicates constant pain. It is possible that removing the pain could make him useful, but not nearly enough.
Status: CHAFF

Alix, no Alias - Moderately powerful telepath, and telepaths are always useful. Our techniques can build her up to a truly formidable threat.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Dane, Lorna AKA Polaris - Magnetic prowess is nearly as potent as that of her alleged father, Magneto. Our techniques could easily boost her well beyond his potential and counter any resistance he might have to offer. Will work well with Summers if ascended.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Black, Jet, AKA Silver - Recently depowered, Black poses no threat and no challenge.
Status: CHAFF

Black, Alister, AKA Devil Boy - Potent summoner, creates monsters and the like through sheer imagination alone. His own physical capabilities are less than potent, and none of his creations match up to what we need. Unfortunately, all we would be able to do is enhance him and not his summons, and it is the summons that are truly potent. Black himself is mentally unstable, and unreliable. Have yet to see him use his abilities to their full potential.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Harper, Jon, AKA Volt - Clone of a mutant with electrical abilities - potent, and knows how to use it. However, preliminary studies indicate that previous conditioning would render him immune to enhancement.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Legard, Alexander, No Alias - Transmutation into smokelike particles makes Legard neither offensively dangerous nor particularly useful for our needs.
Status: CHAFF

Jones, Shane, No Alias - Can fuse air into solid forms. Potentially dangerous, but combat prowess seems limited. I cannot see him performing well as a Horseman, but he may pose a threat, albeit a limited one.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Timeline: February 12th, @ 2 pm

For several days, security at X-Factor had been... lagging. Regular maintainence checks were not being made with their former frequency, and the hallways were often devoid of the rhythmic clicking of metallic paws that usually could be heard at all hours of the day. Even the residents at the boarding house, who surely would have become accustomed to the sounds echoing through their own hallways, would have noticed an almost unsettling silence in their corridors.

Normally an ever-constant presence in the day to day lives of the X-Factor members, Ilsa, the mechanical dog designed to perform security functions in and around the headquarters, was nowhere to be found. She was not greeting people as they woke up in the morning, she was not rousing the late-risers, nor was she trying to get various residents to play games with her. Her absence would most likely go noticed.

In fact, she had not left the basement in three days, instead opting to lay motionless beneath the hammock where Madison Jeffries would have slept at night were he still there. A fine layer of dust had gathered on her back, the only indications that she was still running were the soft blue of her glowing eyes casting light on the dark basement and the dull hum of her internal engines still running.

Despite the fact that Madison was gone, how long Shane didn't know, his work was still required in the small lodging house. Especially by the American mutant, who was currently trying to figure out how to fix the small portable radio he had been listening to in the kitchen while the smells of te various foods he was preparing for the nights dinner, a salmon risotto with spinach and leek accompanied by an fruit salad for desert. It had all been going so well but shortly after the prep had ended, static had crept in, shortly followed by silence from the loud dance beats that had emanated from it before. Finishing and storing the food for that nigt, he glaring at it before, tapping the top a few times to try and resucitate the sound but it turned out to be useless as the radio remained quiet. Picking the radio up, he figured that the batterys were dead. sighing a little at the fact, Shane went to search for some in the small cupboard in the edge of the room where items seemed to collect for no reason other than a lack of places to put them. Pulling the door open, a small red ball fell out and bounced several times on the floor before coming to a rest by the side of Shane's foot.

"Probably Ilsa's" he mumured under his breath, before realising that he hadn't seen the metallic dog recently, not since before Madison had left. Putting aside the batterys for the moment, he picked up the red ball and threw it in the air, catching it as he made his way down to the basement that he had avoided ever since that incident with the goblin creatures all those months ago, only visting it when he needed to. Not that Shane wanted to spend so much time in the room, the large amount of machines that Box worked on made the mutant feel stupid in comparison. Slowly climbing down the stairs in his search for the metallic dog, he glanced around the rooms darkness, the gloom perpetuating it making the cyborg canine almost invisible to the eye. Holding up his free arm to create a glow from his powers to light the room in an orange glow, he spotted the metallic animal in the corner.

"Ilsa, got your ball girl!" he said, trying to rouse her from what appeared to be a slumber. Unsure whether the dog actually needed some sort of sleep, like to check her systems, Shane was unsure what was going on with the robot. Maybe she was damaged a bit and that was why she was down here. It wasn't the first time that Madison had been absent, although rarely for this long amount of time.
Shane seems like a cool guy. When he keeps his shirt on, that is.

The red ball falling through the air as it made its decent was recognized immediately as being Ilsa's. Violey followed after Shane. She'd just returned to X-factor only to see Shane heading to toward the basement. The last few days were too quiet. Though she didn't like technology, the security checks were now part of the norm for her. Ilsa's missing presence had been noted immediately. For the first day Violey thought nothing of it. The second day, toward evening, she felt a tinge of something that could have been worry. That morning, if Ilsa hadn't showed up, she wouldn't know what to do. Maybe she'd ask someone where Ilsa was. By her own choosing she avoided the basement as much as possible. There was no reason to go down there, until now.

Shane was heading there so why not follow after him. He too seemed to want to inquire after the robotic watchdog. The railing was gripped tightly as she descended. It was dark. Shane probably hadn't seen her when she'd arrived. If him throwing a red ball hadn't been outside what she assumed his normal daily activity, then she wouldn't have followed him questioningly after Ilsa. Lightly stepping down from the last step Violey recognized the glow of Shane's powers. ~The location of the light switch is where?,~ she thought.

As Violey moved closer to where Shane had stopped, she began to think it was odd. It was odd for her being in the basement. It was odd for her to wish to inquire about a metallic being called a robot brought to life some unknown means. Since the first day Ilsa came to be at X-factor Violey stared at the being. At first its reason for being in existance wasn't comprehended. Eventually, understanding how she came to be fell into the background. "Ilsa?" Violey called as her eyes adjusted to the light from Shane's powers.

There was no acknowledgement of their presence as Shane and then Violey descended into the basement. The lights of her eyes were still glowing, and the gentle hum of her servomotors and internal engines that kept her operating were still audible, but she made no attempt at stirring, no attempt at rousing. She didn't even glance in their direction, didn't even twitch her ears as they walked down the stairs. It was as if she were remaining intentionally oblivious to every single stimulus, visual, auditory, and otherwise.

She simply remained motionless beneath that hammock, unwilling to do anything at all. The only indication of her mood was a familiar brown bomber jacket she was laying atop.

Various unfinished projects lay scattered about the basement - scraps of metal for raw material lay in a heap in one corner, in another a series of milk crates containing Madison's day to day belongings - clothing, boots, a collapsible ironing board, and various other things. Clearly, Madison saved all of his aesthetic designing for the above-ground portions of the headquarters, making sure things looked nice for everyone else before himself. If one didn't know any better though, it was almost as if he had had no intention of going anywhere at all. None of his belongings were missing, and judging by the dog's mood, she was not at all prepared for a prolonged absence.

Something was wrong.

Ascension Candidates are not solely chosen on their power potential, since all can be made perfect under the First One, but also their personality and their susceptibility to our methods.

Boyd, Ari, AKA Glass Able to generate glass shards. Menacing to the weak and soft of the world. Basic protective armor is necessary when dealing with her, but by her own, nothing to worry about.
Status: CHAFF

Doyle, Avery, AKA Loosestrife Plant manipulator. Some neurotoxin in her fingernails, which is interesting enough. Still, her usefulness in a hand-to-hand situation is questionable, at best. May want to harvest her and dissect her to use for future experiments.
Status: CHAFF

Drake, Robert, AKA Iceman Very interesting set of powers, able to manipulate thermodynamics. The boy, sadly enough, is either too stupid or careless to know about his full potential. Still, with the right mentor, he could be a valuable asset to our plans.
Status: ACSENSION CANDIDATE

Foley, Josh, AKA Elixir Still young, but his potential casts a long shadow. Very familiar to the Drake boy, but perhaps even more powerful. His age and hormones have given him a sense of confusion to be exploited.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Frost, Emma, AKA White Queen Two disparate mutations, which means I'd like to dissect her and find out what exactly is going on. She's a telepath, which is always useful, but they are better telepaths, and her diamond form removes her telepathic abilities. Still, not to be underestimated
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Grey-Summers, Jean, AKA Phoenix The biggest threat at the Xavier mansion. Her skill and pure power as a telepath and telekinetic are enough to change global politics. Still, that threat means she's a possible asset. She's currently little more than a glorified housewife at the mansion. If you do decide on her, appeal to her insecurities and unfulfilled fantasies.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Grey-Summers, Scott, AKA Cyclops As a flipside to his wife, his mutation is rather mundane, and in fact, a handicap in someways. What makes him such a threat, his knowledge of tactics, leadership abilities, are so integral to his personality that our re-education processes might reduce his utility to us.
Status: DEFINITE THREAT.

Guthrie, Sam, AKA Cannonball While definitely not Horseman material, Guthrie is just powerful enough to pose problems for us. I recommend we quickly neutralize him. He has shown some promises in leadership for his fellow students, and they might rally around him.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Logan, AKA Wolverine Data on him infuriatingly sparse, and dotted across the past two centuries. Still, as a pure physical threat, Wolverine is a league of his own. Combined with his healing factor, (which incidentally, we should investigate using that for all Horseman, regardless if we use Wolverine or not) his martial skills are a threat to any antagonist of his.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Kable, Travis, AKA Architech A nearly indefatigable armory. He could single-handedly supply any opposition we might face with enough high tech gadgets to be a threat.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Krakowski, Bernard, AKA Cloudburst While his powers have their uses, age and his personal ethics reduce his utility to us. Still, being able to turn into a sentient weather system is enough to warrant investigation.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Milano-Firth, Ashan, AKA Ricochet Personality problems aside, Ricochet's powers mimic Quicksilver, which makes him an intriguing candidate. Unfortunately, the way his brain processes information is so different from our own, that it would not be an effective use of our resources to use him.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Mink Jayson, AKA Rock-Solid Her powers, even if boosted correctly, would be interesting to see, but not earth-shaking or awe-inspiring as demands a Horseman. Since the effects of her touch are temporary, she can only delay our plans, not stop them. Still, enough of an irritant to plan for.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Munroe, Ororo, AKA Storm Her powers, essentially the same as Krakowski, combined with her physical prowess make her a much more viable candidate. She is, in fact, more powerful at changing the weather of the two. If you desire a weather-changer, do go with Munroe.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Parker, Kimberly, AKA Mazu Her abilities could conceivable be of use on our planet that is covered by water for 75% of the surface area. Still, her abilities in combat have only just began. The effort used to make her into a threat could be much better used on others.
Status: CHAFF

Pryde, Katherine, AKA Shadowcat Her abilities are better suited to a thief than a warrior. As far as personality concerns, she is too meek for our purposes.
Status: CHAFF

Rasputin, Piotr, AKA Colossus While we have easy access to him in the CAGE, his inner core is probably too pure to be bent our purposes. That inner strength, combined with prodigious actual strength is a dangerous combination.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Sinclair, Rahne, AKA Wolfsbane Her lycanthropic abilities are too mundane and simple for the Horsemen. If our plan is endangered by her simple scratches, we already have failed. Unless you want a pet for your throneroom, move on to more promising mutants.
Status: CHAFF

Starsmore, Jonothon, AKA Chamber A highly promising prospect. As far as his mutation, he is essentially a being of pure energy, which we can enhance to do an array of things, and recent troubles he experience along with longstanding angst about his powers gives us an easy door in.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Wagner, Kurt, AKA Nightcrawler Simply put, his lack of offensive potential to put to use, along with his deep-seated convictions make him a difficult prospect. Luckily, on his own, Wagner's abilities are not a threat to us.
Status: CHAFF

Worthington, Warren, AKA Angel A highly intriguing prospect. While he does lack the straight out destructive power of some others, first, symbolically, he would be very effective at inspiring fear, and at delivering the First One's Gospel. That, combined with his psychological shock from his recent torture and loss of wings make him a prime recipient of our boost. (As a side note, his powers were recently seemingly shut off by another mutant, and in a way that seemed different than others that were affected by that mutant. It'd be a great puzzle for either Sinister or myself.)
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE.

Since most of the entries here are children, few of the ones marked for ascension are actually ready for ascension, but it is always nice to plan for the future. Likewise, most of the potential threats don't need to be accounted for until the future.

Austin, Anne Lee, AKA Want Able to summon objects at will. Based on some mathematical modeling done in my previous life, I also project she'll move on to teleportation. All in all, despite her lack of offensive training, I think she has potential. Her power set is unique and well-suited for our purposes, if her personalities hardens in our new Eden.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE.

Austin, Robert, AKA Mittens Similar to Sinclair, but with a cat instead. Oh, please.
Status: CHAFF

Cuff, Jacob, AKA Mindstorm Teleportation. The method of his transportation put some basic restrictions on his utility to us (inability to transport into locked rooms, for example), and I doubt we will be able to rewrite quantum mechanics.
Status: CHAFF

Dacoras, Vayln, AKA Rawr Transformation into reptilian form, flight and fire-breathing in that form. Despite his young age, based on what I've seen of his siblings, he will possess some serious offensive capabilities in the future.
STATUS: POTENTIAL THREAT (in 10 years)

Grey-Summers, Rosie Powerful telekinetic in potentium. Some telepathic abilities emerging. Still, her utility to us is to entice her mother to coming to us.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT (in 10 years)

Helio, Jason, AKA Tiny Mighty Super-strength. Right now, he can only achieve his potential for short bursts. We could also redirect his gamma energy into energy blasts to make him unstoppable. Quite possibly ready to ascend now.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Kaplan, William, AKA Wiccan Powers similar to Maximoff, Wanda. (Sinister, investigate genetic linkage?) His powers, working well past current understanding of Quantum Mechanics, may be too volatile for us to tamper with. Personal opinion is that risks outweigh the benefits. Current mental status makes him unlikely to be ruthless enough to be of use to us.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Keller, Julian, AKA Hellion Powerful Telekinetic. Strong leadership capabilities. Has some problems with authority that we would have to stamp out.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Kincaid, Cessily, AKA Mercury Liquid metallic form. Frankly, her powers aren't in the league of other prospects, and she hasn't shown any outstanding displays of ruthlessness.
Status: CHAFF

Kinney, Laura, AKA X-23 Genetic clone of Wolverine. Same training, but less experience. Still, her lack of experience might make it easier to bend her to our will.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Lee, Jubiliation, AKA Jubilee Explosion generation. Common genetic mutation, and doesn't stand out among others who possess the power. Still, her destructive powers could expand from their current state.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Mantega, Sofia AKA Wind Dancer Aerokinetic, moderately powerful and useful. Personality too divergent from what we need. I don't see much effective resistance from her.
Status: CHAFF

McCain, Rodney Jamal, AKA Sneak Invisibility and X-Ray Vision. Lacks effective offensive capabilities. In ten years, might be a threat as part of organized resistance, but I don't see the boy surviving that long.
Status: CHAFF

Michaels, Callan, AKA Static Electricity manipulator. Powerful, but has never shown any interest in combat.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Mordred, Lyndal and Randall Empathic relation. Weak mutation, though some inkling of further mutation. Still, I remain doubtful of their utility to the cause.
Status: CHAFF

Morrison, Katherine, AKA Zodiac Color changing, empathy, and transfiguration into some small mammals. Her mutation is little more than parlor tricks. While Sinister might appreciate the challenge of making her intimidating, not worth the effort.
Status: CHAFF

Qadir, Sooraya, AKA Dust Able to turn into living dust storm. Interesting biomechanics at work here. Has shown potential in the past for pragmatic actions. Her ethical and religious beliefs make me doubt that we could successfully re-educate her, though.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT.

Vaccaro, Santo, AKA Rockslide Petrological form. Similar to Ozymandius, though my work with him in the past shows him to be more powerful. Very interesting mutation, and one that I personally would love to experiment with. Even if he's not chosen for ascension, I'd like to use him as template for some sort of palace guard.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE.

The glow from his fists seemed to grow brighter and brighter as Shane walked further into the basement, eventually finding the light switch that he had been seeking. The once dark work room suddenly became illuminated, the bright bulbs banishing the shadows to the far corners of the room, leaving its harsh clinical glare baring everything, allowing Shane to turn off his powers now that light had been restored. Behind him he heard a voice and turned, the fellow X-Factor member Violey similarly enquiring to the metallic dog. Shane couldn't claim to be as close to the air manipulator as he was to other members, say Rictor or Jet, but from what he did know about her wasn't anything of much use to them in this situation. Apparently she was even more clueless about the mechanical side of X-Factor than he was, which didn't bode well for her assistance of Ilsa was suffering some sort of malfunction. Crouching down on his knees, he looked intensely at the dog.

"Whats the matter Ilsa? You having some sort of technical problem? Erm, are you having some sort of doggie sleep thing that Madison made you have once in a while" he asked, trying to get some sort of form of answer from the metal dog. Everyone knew that Ilsa was designed to be tough, a pet and a walking weapon in one. And despite the several times in which she had been damaged, Box was always able to fix her up in a few days. But he wasn't here and Shane had no idea what he could do to help the dog get back to its normal behavior. Looking over his shoulder, he jerked his head to get the mutant girl to come down into the basement.

"Violey, you been here longer than me, ya ever see this happen before to her? I mean, I think that Ilsa may be broken or something as she doesn't seem right. You have any ideas about what we could do to help her out?"he directed his question at the blonde girl, geinueinely wishing for some assitance in the problems that they were facing. How did the vets manage to do it, treating creatyrs unable to answer back and still know what would make good ol' Bruno get up and running. Sadly, Shane had no idea how they managed to do this and whether it would apply to the robotic canine on the floor in front of them.
Shane seems like a cool guy. When he keeps his shirt on, that is.

Recent surveillance has shed some more light on a highly secretive group of mutated individuals hiding within the upper crust of global society, though mostly concentrated in the United States and in Great Britain. There are a few key individuals in the ruling class of that group that could prove useful or dangerous.

Maximillian Coleridge, AKA The Shroud - Ability to manipulate Darkforce energies makes him both versatile and lethal. Would be a prime candidate had the Shadow King not failed in his previous grasp on the man. Now not only is he aware of the threat to his meager empire that Our Lord poses, but he is most likely determined to oppose His Will to keep his fingers into his regime of squalor and excess.
STATUS: DEFINITE THREAT

Maria Seigel, AKA Erebus - Coleridge's right-hand woman and one who shares much of his power, both fiscally and physically. It is at this point unknown how they have such similar powers, and we are searching for a connection. Either way, she is to be considered a threat more than a potential candidate for conversion.
STATUS: POTENTIAL THREAT

Arthur Centino, AKA Longshot - Cloned assassin created by "Mojo" (See File: Jon Harper). Possesses ability to manipulate probability, pushing events to go in his favor. Deadly accuracy, and limited psychometry. Abilities better granted to a general than a soldier, he may be useful directing troops... if he were not so easily led. Still, a leader who is easily led may be a useful leader, so long as he is being led solely by His Holiness.
STATUS: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Allister Rawson, AKA Fallout - In simplest terms, the man is a walking atomic bomb. If one cannot see the usefulness of that skill set, one is a fool. His is a power that is uniquely suited for weaponization. He does not even need to be cogniscent or even conscious. Best-case scenario, we take him, put him in a medically induced coma, through my own technology and Beast's chemistry rewrite his brain and connect it to a remote and simply detonate at will. Rawson is not a solider - Rawson is a bomb. A bomb that can be used over and over and over and over again.
STATUS: POTENTIAL WEAPON

Belton I. Alerton, AKA Dr. Sin - Fancies himself a mad scientist of sorts, and with good reason - control of the cellular structure of biological organisms is a prime skill for one of the mad scientific bent. How useful he could be to us, is frankly limited. He could best serve roles that The Beast and myself already serve. For us to modify a man to become our colleague seems redundant. I do not see him as a threat on the battlefield, either. An annoyance at best, with genetically modified creatures doing his bidding. Best to just kill him and be done with it.
STATUS: CHAFF

Jonothan Silvercloud, AKA Forge - A natural inventor, has the ability to naturally comprehend machinery and invent to his imagination's desire, a role my own abilities have already filled within Apocalypse's pantheon. Forge would simply be redundant.
STATUS: CHAFF

Elizabeth Braddock, AKA Psylocke - A potent telepath, and as I have said before, telepaths are always useful. Once the will is broken, the mind can be used at His Holiness's disposal.
STATUS: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Vincent Benson, AKA Mesmero - Telepath focused on mind control specifically. Sometimes control is necessary to spread the gospel, and an ability like his could serve that very well when the time comes to show the truth to the world.
STATUS: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Sebastian Shaw, No Alias - Absorbs kinetic force to enhance physical power and durability. Not particularly what we need in terms of a Horseman, not the most dangerous of threats.
STATUS: CHAFF

Christian Frost, No Alias - Molecular telekinesis, an ability similar to Alerton's. Could be useful, but Frost's lineage suggests a stubbornness to his personality that may not accept conditioning (see Beast's entry for Emma Frost). Still, an ability like his may be useful, more in the development of infrastructure than in combat. We shall see for sure.
STATUS: POTENTIAL THREAT / ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Culled from the data we have S.H.I.E.L.D. An important addendum, that most of the files are concerning psychopathic killers. Most of them aren't dangerous enough to disrupt our plans on the own, but enough of them together might pose a threat to us. (We may want to investigate disrupting their operations first.)

Allerdyce, St. John, AKA Pyro Pyrokinetic. Able to control flames, but not generate them. Head trauma leading to personality shifts. Too unstable to be usable or posing much threat.
Status: CHAFF

Beaubier, Jeanne-Marie, AKA Aurora Superspeed, able to generate blinding flashes of light when in contact with brother (whereabouts unknown). Psychological instability precludes ascension.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT.

Blaire, Allison, AKA Dazzler Able to convert sound into light. Able to use the light for a variety of uses. With some tinkering in her powers, we could make a very dangerous asset.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Cassidy, Thomas, AKA Black Tom Concussive blasts when channeled through cellulose structures. Limited power potential, though has a ruthless streak that needs to be accounted for.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Darkholme, Raven, AKA Mystique Long-lived shapeshifter. Her survival instinct is unparalleled. Wide variety of military and martial arts training.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Davis, Sara, AKA Camera Muscle mimic. Low level mutation. Not particularly worthy of the First One's grace. Not much more menacing than a normal human with a gun. Previous intelligence has shown her being defeated by a normal human girl with no combat training
Status: CHAFF

Hollis, Buford, AKA Razorback Instant competence at machinery. A glorified mechanic and handyman. He, much like Cassidy, is level-headed, and able to plan, but his lack of physical prowess, and dependence of gadgets will be his undoing.
Status: CHAFF

Jackson, Aaron, AKA Flak Manipulator of inertial forces. Potentially powerful, but mute-deaf, reducing his utility to us. Still, he would be a useful tool for those who would oppose us.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

James, Tina, AKA Rage Able to incite anger and rage in those who are around here. Excellent candidate for War, and easily fetched as she is in CAGE, where our slaves inside SHIELD can get her.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

LeBeau, Remy, AKA Gambit Manipulation of potential-kinetic energy, empathic charm. His ability to turn anything into a weapon is a very valuable power to have on our side. His charm would make him a very capable spreader of our message.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Lensherr, Erik, AKA Magneto Manipulation of magnetic fields. High power level, but his single-minded devotion to his cause makes him an untenable candidate for ascension. Still, like the Shroud, we can't afford to underestimate him.
Status: DEFINITE THREAT

Marko, Cain, AKA Juggernaut Incalculable strength. At the heart, a man made entirely of rage. His strength and rage (when properly channeled by us, of course) can be an invaluable aid to our side. Think of how the world will despair as he destroys the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China, Mount Rushmore.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Matthew, Jason, AKA Cutter When consuming drugs, can delay the effects until later and recall that drug's effects for later. Powers are of no tactical benefit whatsoever. I imagine he'll be among the first culled.
Status: CHAFF

Montenegro, Jara, AKA Balam Able to turn into a jaguar. While not any more powerful than several chaffs, her extensive training in espionage and assassination makes her more dangerous to our cause.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Petros, Dominic, AKA Avalanche. (See file on Richter, Julio). Lacks the martial experience of Richter, who remains the superior choice. Unable to affect organic material. Still, he could damage some of our equipment necessary for our plan.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Rankin, Calvin, AKA Mimic Able to copy the powers, skills and knowledge of those around him for himself. With the right modifications, could be made incredibly powerful. Better with us than with our enemies.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Rawcliffe, Raen, AKA Primal Extensive reptilian mutation. Highly skilled in combat, but has an enormous rebellious streak that we would need to stamp out. Still, as one of Magneto's top lieutenants, a valuable asset for the taking.
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Rogue (real name unknown) Able to drain the life out of those whom she touches. Much like Rankin, our modifications could make her obscenely powerful. However, Rankin is the superior choice since he does not require to touch his victims.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Smith, Tabitha, AKA Meltdown Able to generate explosive globules. See the Lee, Jubilation file for power assessment as they are essentially the same. Smith is more aggressive, so respond accordingly.
Status: POTENTIAL THREAT

Taylor, Koen, AKA 1337 Technopathic abilities. Once our plan succeeds, the ability to manipulate the internet will be worth slightly less than mildew.
Status: CHAFF

Trent, Kyle, AKA Saint Telepathic mind control, along with psychic blasts. Same benefits as Vincent Benson, but his younger age and increased offensive potential might make him more attractive. (There are some indications that Benson is the more powerful controller. More data needed.)
Status: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Toynbee, Mortimer, AKA Toad Extensive physical mutation. Able to generate mucus with some extraordinary qualities. Not a threat to our plans, but may want to capture and dissect him for use as a potential template for a foot solider army.
Status: CHAFF

Voght, Amelia, no alias Teleportation on a long scale, mist form. I'm very interested in the possibilities of using her mist form to disperse biological and chemical weapons. And, of course, by using one of the Acolytes, we throw a wrench into the works of a potential foe, Magneto.

Yes, Shane was correct. A child knew more about the world of technology than her. She, she just knew how to make telephone calls on a cell phone. Even so, there was something clearly wrong with Ilsa. What, Violey couldn't come close to guess. The aerokinetic crouched down too thinking as if she got closer to the mechanical dog she would know what was wrong. It didn't help as she thought but the more she looked the more she felt as though something was wrong.

"I do not know, Shane, what could be wrong," Violey said to her teammate. "There was damage done to Ilsa before. Madison would be the one who would put 'er together again. No, Ilsa being like this, I never witnessed before nor do I know what can be done." She stared at Ilsa wondering if this being down in the basement for days was normal. To her knowledge, as she told Shane, this was new occurrence. Technology was still something she would choose not to get but she wasn't as afraid of it as before. Ilsa was technology to her.

Taking of her eyes from Ilsa, Violey looked up around where Box lived. It seemed cluttered. The milk crates wouldn't be her choice of storage. Her eyes finally landed on the scraps of metal in the corner. "Shane?" she inquired. "When was Madison to return?" Violey then looked at Ilsa again. A thought popped into her head. When it first came, she pushed it to the side. A thought like that would suggest the possibility of the mechanical dog being an actual canine. There would be no understanding of it but, now, her mind could form no other explanation.

"I do not know if this at all can be correct but can she be sad of Madison not returning?" Violey questioned looking at Shane. "I believe someone else might know what may be wrong."

JP of Rictor and Abigail Brand

With a low grunt Rictor latched the metal bench-press bar in place. He had been working on paper work for quite a while and got fed up with it and went to the small gym they have to work out his frustrations. Some people preferred to throw things or scream and punch walls and such, but Julio preferred a good workout to relieve stress. It was a lot more beneficial and less painful than punching a wall and breaking one’s hand.

Abigail had been working on a few sweeps of the building and been monitoring what had been going on for her logs when she happened across something that troubled her. The security that been working the whole time she was there was gone. This idea troubled her very much. She had made her way next door to the X-Factor building. She hadn't bothered to change and just headed over wearing her gray sweats and green tank top. Her arms bare showing off her two tattoos. Her ever present gloves on her hands and flip-flops in her feet. She walked slowly through the building as she tried to figure out where anything was. This was the first time she had ever been over there. She heard some noises from down one of the hallways and moved towards it. She found herself entering a gym where a man was working out. She cleared her throat softly trying her best to not be her loud and outspoken self.

“Ummm....Hi....I think I am a little bit lost here.”

“Oh, hi,” Rictor greeted taking a drink from his water bottle. “What are you looking for?”

He wiped his face with a small towel and draped it over his shoulder. He recognized the young woman as one of the latest residents at the boarding house. He believed her name was Abigail. She had green hair like Lorna’s and stood about the same height. Both of the women appeared to be fit, but Abigail seemed to be a bit more toned whereas Lorna was curvier and a bit bustier. Not that Rictor was keeping track or anything.

Abigail gave him a polite smile. It felt odd on her lips but she was going to play her part if it killed her. She reached up and let her hand brush away some lose hairs. He wasn't badly built at all, and she couldn't recall any of her files on this man. As her mind analyzed the surrounding she assumed it was best to keep low and keep her eyes on the threat level he posed. She made sure to make a mental note to come by this building more often to assess the hostiles that lived in the main one.

“Well I live next door. And heard mumbles of security being kinda messed up. And got me worried so I wanted to let someone know. About it. I like feeling safe...”

Her voiced trailed off. She did her best to look scared of something going wrong with out the system being up and working. Her eyes made contact with him and she let them hang there for a bit before they fell away.

“Do you know who I should talk to?”

Julio thought for a moment, <The security system going on the fritz definitely is not good, and Box usually lets everyone know if he’s doing updates.> Now that he was thinking about it he hadn’t seen Madison around for while. <Where is he? Surely he isn’t huddle up on another project?> Julio didn’t know Madison as well as some of the other members of X-Factor, but he did know that once he was working on a project he tended to not be seen for a while.

“Hmm.” Rictor said leading her toward Madison’s quarters, “You want to talk to Madison. He’s probably downstairs working on something.”

She follows the man down a hall as they moved down the hall she made sure to take in as much as she could. Her training kicked in and she planned to add a good chunk to her log whenever all this found its end.

“So who is this Madison...”

She asked the question curious the name rang a bell but she left her glasses that had her up-link in her room. She was kicking herself for that. Before she could get anymore out she saw a group of people in front of her and felt it would be best if she kept quiet and observe than be the center of too much talk.

Mechanical Interaction/Merge
There are naturally, mutants who claim no allegiance, claim no affiliation except to themselves. While their potential for being threats is minimal since there is no organization to them, there are still those who are worthy amongst their numbers.

Abigail Brand, No Alias - Not entirely unafiliiated, as near as we can tell. What little we could learn suggests she is a high-ranked official within SHIELD. What she is capable of, what her mindset is, is entirely a mystery.
STATUS: INDETERMINATE

Brian Braddock, AKA Captain Britain - A self-styled "superhero", Braddock was potent once. Enhanced strength, flight, nigh-invulnerability - he could have been useful to us or he could have been a threat. Now he is an alcoholic who is struggling to rebuild his dignity and value. He will not have the time to do so.
STATUS: CHAFF

Leo Brady, No Alias - A police officer with the NYPD who can alter his density. Ability branches to effecting the density of matter around him in a limited area, effectively creating shockwaves. Potent enough, but as near as we can tell, he seems to be what they refer to as a "good cop" and is unlikely to be turned.
STATUS: POTENTIAL THREAT

Lucian Crane, AKA Blackout - Interfaces with machines, an ability not necessary considering my presence. It is not worth the effort to spring this individual from prison, a place he is likely to not cause any interference.
STATUS: CHAFF

Victor Creed, AKA Sabretooth - On paper, Creed would not seem worth our time. Enhanced strength, enhanced speed, rapid regeneration, sharp claws and fangs. But in deed, Sabretooth is a killer on a level most of us cannot even imagine. He has decades, perhaps even a century's worth of killing expertise, and consistently manages to best those who are significantly more potent than he is. Victor Creed is certainly worth consideration, and would most likely not even require mental conditioning, as he enjoys death and destruction unlike any I have observed.
STATUS: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Kevin Ford, AKA Wither - Touch corrodes organic material. Potent in and of itself, but easily sidestepped with so many methods. A bullet, for example, does just fine.
STATUS: CHAFF

Sergei Kravinoff, AKA Kraven the Hunter - Not naturally mutated, which in and of itself, disqualifies him. Human is human is human, no matter what drugs are pumped into his veins. He may possibly be a threat, but not much of one.
STATUS: CHAFF

Riva Lafitte, No Alias - Tactile telekinetic, and a pugnacious mindset predisposed towards conflict. Enhancing her abilities to remove their tactile limit could prove useful.
STATUS: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Edmund Lennart, AKA Lodestone - A low level electromagnetic. May be potent one day, but as of now, he's not. Odds are he won't survive the war to come so we'll never know.
STATUS: CHAFF

Moonbeam, AKA Dead Girl - She has the unique quality of surviving corporeally beyond death itself. She communicates with the dead as well, atop reshaping her dead body and rebuilding it from almost any damage. The potential here is through the roof, more though for attempting to replicate these qualities in footsoldiers than in using her herself. She seems set on a mission to aid the deceased and her dead brain most likely is immune to conditioning. Still, she should be brought in to see what we can make of her.
STATUS: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Sack - A predominantly gelatinous creature that can meld his form with others to "possess" them. Neither as effective nor as wide-ranged as Shadow King.
STATUS: CHAFF

Wade Wilson, AKA Deadpool - Also disqualified due to his non-natural mutation, though unlike Kraven, poses a significant threat. He is nearly indestructible due to rapid regeneration, is a master of nearly all modern weaponry known to man, a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant, and unhinged enough to stage a war against us on his own. We would defeat him, but through significant effort.
STATUS: POTENTIAL THREAT

Peter Wisdom, no alias - Former M16 (presumably) operative, with all the requisite training of a British spy, along with the ability to project superheated blasts from his fingertips. For some reason, fell from grace with his benefactors and is now imprisoned. I do not feel that he is worth taking the time to either eliminate or ascend.
STATUS: CHAFF

Aingeru Zdrajca, aka Turk aka Revenant - A telepath, but limited to unconsciousness only. We may be able to bypass this unconsciousness, or failing that, keep him comatose within the Temple to serve as a "brain trust" of sorts, keeping those kept for our own purposes sedate and tranquil.
STATUS: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Though not as organized a group as the X-Men or the Brotherhood, there is a small band of grotesque mutants referring to themselves as "The Morlocks", presumably a reference to H.G. Wells indicating some level of intellectualism in their founding. Their numbers were once higher, but now to date there remain four.

Caliban - Whether this is a given name or an alias is unknown. Primarily, his ability is as a mutant hound - he can detect mutated genes and find them anywhere. His secondary abilities, physical strength, durability, clawed fingertips, come secondary to this. To be able to seek out hidden conclaves of resistance and lead our warriors to them is invaluable and he must be considered in some way, shape, or form.
STATUS: ASCENSION CANDIDATE

Maria Callasantos, AKA Feral - As The Beast stated, ferals have limited utility to our needs, and Feral herself is no exception. While her strength and agility are higher than the average human, they are not so much so that she could be useful to our needs.
STATUS: CHAFF

Eldan Draith, AKA Wraith - Intangibility, teleportation, power drain, concussive bolts. Same categories as Amelia Voght but neither as potent nor as practiced. Unlike most Morlocks, Wraith bears no physical traits that separate him from mainstream humanity, thus his seclusion must be from mental defect of some sort. This is most definitely a weakness and we cannot have such weakness on our side.
STATUS: CHAFF

Arthur Maddicks, No Alias - A mere child with the ability to project holographic representations of whatever he is thinking. Could potentially develop into telepathy, but there is no way of knowing until he has matured enough. Still, that a child has manifested a mutation before puberty is intriguing and bears further study.

Crouching down next to the mechanical canine, Shane glanced over it, trying to figure out what was wrong. Maybe he should try to hit her with a hammer to try and get her to work again. Casual tended to work when his cell or the kitchen appliances started to go on the fritz, so maybe the same would work for Ilsa. Then again, if Box found out that Shane or anyone had been hitting his beloved machines, he would probably try to murder them in their sleep. The idea of Madison on the rampage didn't fill Shane with any kind of joy, so he quickly dismissed the idea from his mind.

Instead he listened to Violey and then to the entrance of "Mr Vibrator" (Shane never stopped using that nickname, he found it too hilarious, especially when using it in private conversations) and a certain green haired madam. Lorna would not be pleased that someone was copying her style but still, maybe she could help with whatever was going on. because it appeared that the two blondes (Shane was a dark blonde, despite what everyone said) there had no idea to solve the problem of the apparently depressed machine, if you took Violeys word for it. Shane was in no mind that machines had emotions, but Ilsa did seem sad.

"I have no clue. I was guessing a few weeks but he normally sends us an email or something like that when he went on holiday. Ilsa never was like this last time he was away." he replied, looking at the machine. Holding the ball next to the dogs nose, he threw it sideways a few seconds later, hoping that she would suddenly come to life and chase after it. It was a vain hope, but something that might work, cause you never know what could happen, especially if its artificial intelligence in an adorable metal doggy body. Rising and turning on his heel, he studied the new arrivals in the room with a quizzical glance.

"Hey Ric, somethings wrong with Ilsa and we have no idea. You got a clue how to fix her? And who may I ask, is your friend? She's almost as good looking as you" he flirted happily, knowing that despite Ric being a fine piece of mutant, nothing would ever become of it. Still, a little harmless fun was good for the soul. Certainly raised his spirits over the Ilsa situation. He hoped that she wasn't damaged, because X-Factor just wouldn't be the same without her tiny paw prints over the floor.

(Sorry it took so long, just was busy and then had no idea what to post)
Shane seems like a cool guy. When he keeps his shirt on, that is.

Violey pursed her lips in thought. Between Shane and her, figuring out what was wrong with Ilsa was going no where. The rate they were going poor Ilsa would be laying there for days. Something had to be wrong with Box or else Ilsa was sick. Could mechanical canines get sick? Some students back at the mansion had talked about viruses that a computer could get. This wasn't understood then, but maybe now it could be possible. Ilsa might be sick with a virus. Regardless, Violey kept to mind her first conclusion. There was more of a chance of Ilsa being sad because of Box missing than being sick. Weren't there some kind of shots that computers could get against viruses like the immunizations kids were given.

"Madison not contacting us is what bothers me," Violey replied to Shane when he commented on Box's absence. The connection of Box being gone and Ilsa being sad because of it solidified even more. Before she could say anything more on her conclusion, two others walked down into the basement. There was Rictor and an unknown female with green hair. Violey stood. As she did so she gave a smile in greeting that was neither cold nor inviting.

"Hello Rictor," she said before turning to Abigail. "Madison is a member of X-factor as we three are," Violey explained. She walked toward the green hair lady. "I am Violey. As Shane 'as already said; who might you be, miss?" The aerokinetic held out a hand also in greeting. Giving a quick glance to Ilsa then back at Abigail, a possibly far fetched idea came to mind. "Do you, by chance, know if machines can become sad? If they can do you know what to do to cheer them up?" she asked. She doubted neither Rictor nor Abigail would know what could be done about Ilsa. As some people say, though, to try something new is always worth a shot.
