March 20th 1:00am Since Jet had gotten the robot Madison had built for her she had been trying it out. It made the blonde feel brave enough to go outside of the headquarters of X-Factor. Only a few times though. The computer must have tuned into her preferences because she wanted the robot model to be a bit sleeker and over a little bit of time it had shifted itself to look a lot more sleek, and lighter. But on that particular night, was about revenge. Months ago a perfectly good pair of shoes were ruined. But that was this was the night Jet Black would avenge her departed pumas. She stayed up late getting that bit of genius from a youtube video of a man pranking his wife while she slept. She slipped into her robot and said, “Robot... switch to a scary robotic voice for when I talk, kay?” After a few beeps the robot replied, “Affirmative.” She was ready. Jet only had to walk just a few rooms down but it was tricky. The slightest sound and her whole plot would be foiled. Luckily she made it through, and carefully entered Jamie's room. She stood at the end of his bed, and held in her laughter. She took a quiet breath to get her head in the game. With a booming, deep, and low robotic voice Jet spoke, “James Madrox.” The red glowing eyes of the robot and the voice would, as she hoped, scare Jamie awake. Then they'd be even. In her book at least. She spoke again, "Tonight I get my vengeance." All the while she had a wide smile on her face. The blonde knew the prank wouldn't last long, she could barely keep her laughter contained as it was, but it would be worth it. And hysterical. |

Impact Enduced Duplication

James Madrox was dreaming. There was no way in hell what he was imagining could happen in real life. He was lying on a bear skin rug before a roaring fire in the Rocky Mountains. The snow had piled up for a height of four feet and there was no way to get to town from this secluded cabin in the wilderness. All he and his companion had was time together. Madrox poured a glass of wine and handed it toward his company. “It was really a coincidence that you were cross-country snowshoeing when the blizzard hit to prepare for an upcoming role, international film star Natalie Portman,” Madrox replied. “I was just lucky that you found me and had the kindness in your heart to take me into your chalet for warmth and comfort, James,” Miss Portman replied, as the firelight caused the wine in her glass to glow. “What was even luckier was that you happened to be in the Rocky Mountains taking a vacation from being a super-spy slash alligator wrestler. I don’t know how I can ever repay you.” Jamie took a drink of his wine and smiled. “It was nothing really. Though, I’m sure something will come to mind,” he replied. “Something will come to you just like that.” Jamie snapped his fingers. To his surprise, he didn’t duplicate. In fact, Miss Portman was the one to create a copy. Jamie eyes grew wide and then he snapped his fingers again. Another copy of the woman before him appeared. “By the power of Greyskull,” he whispered. The three women crawled toward him and whispered his name. “James Madrox.” Again his name was called. “James Madrox.” Jamie’s eyes snapped open. At the foot of his bed a large shadowy figure loomed and had called out his name with an eerie mechanical voice. Large glowing red eyes peered at him through the darkness. “Shit!” Jamie screamed as he dug his heels into the sheet and darted out of bed. He landed hard on the cold floor and produced a copy of himself. Madrox found his way to his feet and rushed headlong at a wall. He knocked into his nightstand, his clock and other items rattling loudly. Jamie scooped up a handful of change and hurled it at the intruder. “You won’t get me, creep!” |

Jamie fell off his bed and made another copy of himself, and Jet managed to keep it together. But when he threw the coins at her to retaliate, she couldn't hold in her laughter. “Hahahaha!” The robotic voice didn't make her look any less threatening. She tried to take in a breath of air to talk but she was failing. Only after a few moments the laughter finally faded. “Did you really think coins could hurt me? Ha! You underestimating me will be your downfall. I finally have my vengeance...” The deep robotic voice chuckled. And as Jet reached her robotic arms up toward her face, she removed the part that covered her head. Revealing her blonde hair and wide smile. “For my poor poor pumas.” After she spoke Jet broke into laughter. She was laughing so hard the side of her eyes were watering over. “Oh my god, Jamie... Hahahah! You should have seen you face!” The blonde had to be honest with herself, she knew the joke wasn't going to last long. She tried to get in a breath of air. She sighed as a metal covered finger tried to wipe away a tear. “Ah Jamie-Boy... that was just the reaction I was aimin for. Thanks.” |

The coins clinked ineffectively off of the metal monstrosity at the foot of Madrox’s bed. It was a formidable beast and Madrox was going to think on his toes. He pulled up the lamp from the bedside and pulled his arm back to throw it. The robot kept laughing at him and his skittish duplicate that was cowering beside Jamie’s feet. The machine just kept laughing. Jamie vaguely realized that throwing the lamp at the intruder would probably do about as much good as throwing his pocket change had. It was then that the creature took off it’s head to reveal…Jet? What was Jet doing? “Jet?” he asked in disbelief. Suddenly realizing the exposed position he was in, Jamie put the lamp down and snatched a pillow off his bed and held it in front of his boxer shorts. “Jet! You scared the piss out of me!” he cried out. He reached over and tossed the other pillow in Jet’s direction. The duplicate looked up from the floor with large doe eyes. “Don’t look at me like that,” Jamie snapped at the duplicate and absorbed him quickly. Jamie was slightly ticked off that he had been pranked so easily. But then again, he deserved it and payback was a long time coming. He took a deep breath and relaxed his shoulders. Jamie’s heart was still beating a mile a minute. He looked at Jet and her new kick ass body armor. She was like some Femizon mecha-samurai. A smile spread across his face. “Please tell me that suit recorded everything. I’ve just got to see the look on my face!” |

Jet chuckled when Jamie covered his boxers behind a pillow. She caught the flying pillow against her chest. Then he asked if the suit recorded the reaction. The blonde hadn't even thought of that! “Oh man... I didn't even think to check. Shit, man!” Even though she didn't have a recording, everything would be imprinted in her mind. The blonde rolled her shoulders and tilted her head to try and crack it. The suit itself wasn't uncomfortable, but she had an uncomfortable feeling. Jet didn't know what it was but she got more and more used to it. It was different being inside the robot. Not like feeling the wind flow through her hair as it once did. But as long as she could still help, she couldn't really complain on the how. Jet chuckled replaying the prank in her head. Her eyes made an accidental wonder and she quickly looked upward to the ceiling. After clearing her throat she spoke, “It's a good thing you aren't a briefs kinda guy. That would a been very embarrassing for ya... but funny as hell for me.” Her grin was wide, holding back the smile wasn't an option. Going back to sleep after such an adrenaline rush was probably an impossibility. |
